bitsAndpieces: Protester should go home. Mr President has heard you loud and clear!!
If the protesters are smart, they should set targets like
A) Mr President, by December, we want more verifiable electric buses and trucks
B) We want completion of so and so road by this time
C) We want student loan be converted to grants for outstanding students or repaid when students starts start working.
D) By next year May, we want our megawatt to reach 12,000 MW.
Don’t ask for short term gains like bringing back of fuel subsidy and etc. This will only enrich pockets of the few!! You're mad! You think because you can afford MTN's 2.5gb for 600 naira, it invariably means others can? The average Nigerians in the streets are hungry and you're talking nonsense about conditions and timelines. Ogun doggy you and this foolishness you're exhibiting in public! |

It seems like a distraction from the real issues we face, fueled by a misguided sense of purpose. Stupidity obviously runs in your lineage! |

Na only mischief makers dey carry such flags for Nigeria. This na just a way to distract us from real issues. It is happening in Northern states. Politics › Re: Oyo LG Chairmen Float New Association by BoldBrainz(m): 8:07am On Aug 05, 2024 |
Nigerian politicians are very self-centered.
Makinde is about to set a dangerous precedent. Having failed to prevent LG autonomy as recently affirmed by the Supreme court, State Governors have been scheming to find new ways to circumvent the ruling without running foul of its provisions.
And less than four days ago, Makinde insinuated this very move all in a bid to detach his state chairmen from the Nationally recognised body, so he can continue dictating operational terms of the LG finances due to his state.
The irritating part here is seeing the chairmen buying into his nefarious scheme to the detriment of the ordinary indigenes. All these things account for why the Nigerian populace keeps being restive and demanding circumstantial changes through protests that are now becoming violent.
What a waste of a country! |

Business › Re: Africa’s Richest Man Versus Nigerian Government Is Uncharted Territory by BoldBrainz(m): 6:31pm On Jul 26, 2024 |
nairalanda1: Basic problem is, the government does not want to remove subsidy.
If Dangote refinery comes on line, it means that fuel would be sold at a high price of over N1000 for it to work well. The government knows that, hence the delay tactics.
Also, those who benefit from the importation of refined products and the subsidy money would lose out. The winners would be Dangote and other domestic refineries that are coming up.
The truth is, most Nigerians prefer cheap fuel, most of the elite prefer the subsidy mechansim and imports to continue. Their interests coincide. The result is that we never ever get to domestic refining.
All because of cheap fuel. Oh, so you're finally starting to have sense? When you spent endless months on this space arguing in favour of subsidy removal, some of us tried opening your eyes to the Nigerian reality, but you were too fettered to your textbook convictions to reason otherwise. Every single Nigerian is going to learn very hard lessons under this government. That is a promise! |

Una too mumu...its obvious some of you have not even travelled to another country so you find it hard to comprehend that just like Nigeria, there are alot of scammers in other countries...the number of black hat hackers in America alone is more than the so called yahoo boys in your country in nigeria..go and Google those that are called "black hat hackers " ...the only difference is that they are not noisemakers like your yahoo boys in nigeria that will be making noise on top money that is not even up to 1million dollars And while you're basking in your exposure and intelligence, is the fraud rate in those countries as prevalent and pronounced as is the case with Nigeria?
