Pictured is one of the men involved in trafficking people across the Sahara as they make their way to Europe. In a TV interview with BBC, he revealed how the trafficking was done from Kano to Libya before being transported to Europe through the Sahara desert or the Mediterranean sea.. He revealed that his first set of passengers was about 23 people who were successfully taken to Libya with many of them currently in Europe.

When asked whether he feels he is doing the right thing by trafficking people to Europe, he said that he didn't do anything wrong because he did not force anybody and that anyone he takes to Libya, the parents are aware of their journey and the risks involved.

He also said that if Nigeria was a better country, no one would take such risks.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has released a statement clarifying his earlier statement on President Buhari working from home. According to Mohammed, President Buhari will be working from home only for today.

In the statement issued in Abuja, the Minister said the President only decided to work from home today, not that he has decided to work from home henceforth.

He said the headlines in a section of the media,

''Buhari to now work from home - Lai Mohammed,'' is a misrepresentation of his statement at the briefing. Quoting verbatim the relevant section of his briefing, Mohammed said: ''He (the President) wanted to rest TODAY and he asked the VP to preside over TODAY'S meeting. A young man who has been identified as Chinedu Peter, was reportedly shot dead by a Police Officer, Ibe Uchenna, just in front of Christ the King Cathedra(C.K.C) Asa road, Aba, while coming back from an eatery with his girlfriend.

It is alleged that the Police Officer refused taking the man who he shot to the hospital, and reportedly dumped him somewhere else after he had washed off his blood from the Police patrol van. However family members of the deceased, who were told that the Police man who killed their son has been apprehended and taken to Umuahia, the State's capital, says they don't believe what the Police spokesman is saying.

Here's what Peter Unekwe who shared the story wrote;

"His names was Chinedu Peters, a resident of Aba and he was the bread winner of his family.
On 11th of March 2017, he was coming back from eatery joint with his girlfriend name withheld. The police on duty in front of Christ the King Cathedra(C.K.C) Asa road, Aba stopped the vehicle he was inside and ordered all of them to come out, they obeyed and all came out, they were asked to lay down on the floor which they also did.


Few minutes later the police men told the only Hausa man in their midst to stand up and leave with reason best known to them, Mr Chinedu out of anger stood up to ask questions why they have to release the Hausa man and not all of for the fact they didn't get anything incriminating in them. One police man among them by name IBE UCHENNA ordered him to lie down or he will shoot him, he refused that he will only obey when the Hausa man is brought back, that was how he was shoot by someone that was suppose to protect him. He was lying down helpless crying for them to take him to hospital, instead they took him in their van and dumped him in a location they think people will not find out, took their car for a wash to cover their crime without knowing that the girlfriend was with him.


The girlfriend returned home and explained how this young and vibrant man was shot, in the next morning guys from his area and his brother went to CPS to lodge a complain but was told by the police that they don't know about such incident. The girlfriend insist on the case and the police commander called the troops that was deployed at the area and the girl was able to recognize their faces and the guy that shot him.


The police later changed the story that Chinedu was taken to a hospital and that he is responding to treatment but refused to show the family which hospital. His family and friend set for a search party, and his dead body was found this morning 18th March 2017. They want back to the police for the police to tell them that the police Man that shot him IBE UCHENNA is now in detention in Umuahia.


We all know how corrupt this country Nigeria is when it comes to issues of security operatives, if no serious action is taken his blood spill will be a waste cos he will not get justice. That's why we decided to go public so this our brother can get justice. Please I plead with everyone in this family to helps us and share this tragic incident until it get to the right people that will intervene and give him justice. The painful part was this guy was shot and killed by an Igbo brother for the sake of Hausa man. HOW MANY OF OUR YOUNG YOUTHS WILL BE KILLED BEFORE THIS SORDID ACTS WILL STOP ??

I would like to report a case involving on of my friend who is serving in delta state. Her PPA is ‎Obodeti senior secondary commercial school, Ndokwa west LG. She was beaten up by an N-power teacher named Enuofu Benjamin because she refused to handover the money allocated to their house inter house sport for him to flex with it. .

After the incident, she reported at Abbi police station, Delta state, but nothing has been done about it. She also reported to her local government inspector and no action has been taken. I have attached pictures as a proof and also a copy of the IDcard of the Corp member in question."

How A Sister Mistakenly Got Posted To NNPC, Gombe, For NYSC And What She Faced

This happened way back in 2005 but I think it still worths sharing, anyway.

So sister finished from Unilorin and was posted to Gombe for her mandatory National Youth Service. Camping was momentous and equally awesome. Soon, she finished camping, and luckily for her, she was posted to NNPC, Gombe, for her PPA. In no time, she was at NNPC, Gombe, together with other corp members posted to the PPA (a place she never imagined even in her widest imagination).

She was posted there anyway and all was just beautiful.

But getting to the PPA, she experienced the greatest nepotism and favouritism of her life.

Seriously, Nigeria don become somthing else e don tey. They asked them to submit their documents along with letter from the WHO IS WHOs. The rest submitted their documents together with letters from dignitaries. She could not produce any letter and it was then that it dawned on her that everything was ARRANGEE.

They had made mistake to send her along with the SPECIAL ONES because they already had the exact number of corp members they needed. They told her she was a daughter of nobody and that there was no place for her at NNPC.

She was so embittered and had no choice than to leave. Has she made into the city of Gombe heading to no where in particular, lo and behold, she walked into the state NYSC cordinator's wife.

They had met during camping and as an extrovert that she is, she had related with the coordinator's family. The woman wondered why she wandered around and asked her what had happened. She narrated her ordeal and then, the tuzzle began.

She informed the Coordinator, her husband, ASAP, and he promptly threatened to withdraw all corp members at NNPC, Gombe, if they failed to absorb her. They retorted that they already got the maximum number of corp members they needed. The Coodinator stood on his words so they agreed to conduct exam for the corp members to screen out one person.

The exam was conduct and she excellently passed. Having no other justifiable means to get her out, they absorbed her but scorned her for months before they finally resigned to fate.

I believe this is just a single out of many cases of this type. Seriously, systems in Nigeria have become so rotten from time immemorial. Please let this get to the from page; it might be what someone somewhere is going through right now.
