@ OP,

I didn't read people's comments before commenting...but let me tell you a story about myself though they are two different issues.

I got pregnant last year October, due date was July. before i put to bed, my husband and i even our mums, friends from home, my office etc bought a lot of things for the baby, bed, clothes, wardrobe, walker from UK name it...we bought things that we believe will make the baby very comfortable. but when i put to bed, the baby died...so what happens to all that we bought, all the preparations we made..all the amounts of money and time we dedicated to the arrival of the baby...the pains i went thru being pregnant and hoping to carry my baby in my hands...not to talk of the psychological effects it had on my hussy, mum, mum in law, sis-in-law, my siblings etc

Do you know what, we still believe that we will still have our baby one day and we did was to keep all the things we bought for this baby for the next baby(ies) that will come.

What am i saying? keep these things you bought and the ones that cannot be kept you can dash them out. don't be scared to inform your parents...just as you said, you are worth more than 2 million...your happiness is worth more than 2 million, your health is worth more than that....there is a reason why this happened....

Please count yourself lucky that this happened now....what if it happened after your wedding....

Me: Ok, let me go and get some for you..

Nephew: with Egg...

2) Aunty: Lo mu igbale wa (Go and bring broom)

Nephew: Igbale ko, Igbale ko (broom ko, broom ko) instead of Igbale ko, Igbale ni....

3) My Nephew was eating bread with tea. he then got up to go and pick something from the bedroom. when he got to the entrance, he turned, with his finger pointing at me , he said

Nephew: don't drink my bread

Me: can i eat your tea if i cant drink your bread.

Sorry OP, marriage is not a one man business.
it takes two to tango.
you want your marriage to work at the detriment of your happiness.

Do what your Sister in Law advised you to do first.

then change the password of your online bank.

tactically collect your ATM Cards from him or you write to the bank(s) to block your ATM cards.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Has A Vehicle Ever Splashed Water On You On The Road? by bolseas(f): 4:50pm On Feb 05, 2013
i have been splashed before. i looked down at my cloth and saw the muddy water and just shrugged, i am on my way home anyway, but by the time i looked up, i saw a guy coming towards me and smiling....lol...i was looking behind to see if it was someone else he was smiling at but discovered it was me. when he got close (he parked a little afar from where the incident happened), he apologised...the expression on my face was "what for?"i guess he understood and said he splashed water on me that it was not intentional that he did not see the poodle of water in front of him. funny enough, i did not look up to know the type or colour of the car, i was only interested in my cloth...i said it is okay make he no worry...so he left....in my mind i was like...this guy na gentleman...abi he think say i go curse him?...that is my experience...happended many years ago.
IslamRe: Why A Married Muslim Woman MUST Keep Her Father's Last Name? by bolseas(f): 12:44pm On Jan 31, 2013
Omo Alata: I'm not a Moslem but I have a question. How does the above text relate to adoption? Do Moslems adopt? I don't know how it is in Nigeria but over here, once you adopt a child, the child has the same rights as your biological kids and either you like it or not e.g. if you split up with the child's mother (if you adopted your wife's child), you are still legally responsible for the child.
Your response:

The evidence they cite are as follows:

It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “There is no man who knowingly calls himself after someone other than his father but he has committed kufr. Whoever claims to belong to people to whom he has no ties of blood, let him take his place in Hell.”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3317; Muslim, 61)

What is meant by “committed kufr” is that he has done an act of kufr, not that he is beyond the pale of Islam.

The reason for the loss of lineage or heritage::: For this same reason, an adopted son keeps his original last name

......nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way.
Call them by (the names) of their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah but if ye know not their father's (names, call them), your Brothers in faith, or your Mawlas. But there is no blame on you if ye make a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(Surah 33 4-5)

Yes Muslims also adopt. just like the article stated above, the adopted child keeps his or her father's name so that his family lineagae will not end.

@ topic: on my wedding day, the alfa said that i am to keep my father's name but when i got to my husband's family house the Head of the Family said that one no concern them that i am to change my name. my hussy is not stressing me about it. and i am yet to chage the name as i am still thinking of how to combine the names.
FamilyRe: How My Twin Sister Wrecked My Marriage... by bolseas(f): 1:08pm On Jan 30, 2013
please stop blaming your sister. afterall she is not the one who informed your husband that you were at a movie set or even tied a rope round your neck and dragged you to the place.

like the above poster said, your husband is tired of the marraige and was only waiting for you to make a mistake.

just carry on with your life. if you have a job lucky you but if you dont have, start searching for one or see how you can start a business.

please love your child and dont see himm/her as a burden. see the child as a blessing. forget about the man.

wishing you the best.

PS: the message is for thelady not the OP.
