I actually opened a trend and I was able to confirm that the power situation has become worse. |
vikel2104: The thing that baffle me is that an introvert tends to understand people but yet they're the most misunderstood. I tend to sense peoples' feelings but when it comes to me, they don't even care to know. Another thing is that an introvert tends to understand and get clues quickly. So it pisses me off sometimes when people cannot understand seemingly simple things. I guess it has to do with our ability to think deeply. I prefer thought-provoking discussions rather than empty chatter. That's why some people cannot discuss with me because i don't like shallow talk and that's what most people engage in. Let's just say I love depth in everything I do. I love to ask the question 'why?' before I do things but people would prefer that I go with the flow and just do what everyone is doing. I have a way of revealing myself to people depending on who it is. If I meet a total stranger who I'm most likely never going to see again, I could chat and act like an extrovert. But if I'm most likely going to be seeing the person often, I show them my real introverted self with the mind that with time they'll see that that is how I am and those who accept me will finally make friends with me. Over the years I've come to be able to talk in front of people but I'm still not very comfortable when it's impromptu. If I'm told to teach something, I go the extra mile to make sure you undertand because I don't like the thought that i've wasted my time, my precious time. Staying indoors? Oh there is nothing as blissful as my 'me time' I hate noise more than anything. (sorry for the long unparagraphed post. But being an introvert I know you had the patience to read through it)Your just like me. |
Bolt3: Nice trend I am an extreme introvert because I like reading books and rearly speak. In my high school I spent 90% of my free time in the library as a result my friend thought I was weird and I believed them. As a result I hated myself and really thought I couldn't change. |

Where ever he is and is shy he uses jokes to cover his shyness which make even married women both within and outside the church want him dearly. A friend wanted to pay me just to sneak into my bed when the light is off to have sex with him. No be small tin ohh my peopleYou should probably change your friends. |

Fun Facts WPI graduates have a higher starting salary than MIT graduates. |
WPI is a very good school. It's the 2nd best in computer science in US and the 6th best in Engineering in US. They also give alot of scholarship. Imagine Georgia Tech didn't accept me and I was given half scholarship in WPI. Yeah they also make really cool robots here. The only problem is the cost but if you want a school in MIT's class but is easy to get into you should give it a try. I will like to see more Nigerians here next year. |
martyns303: U guys are just bashing the OP without in-depth, am not sure he his looking for attention, but identity. He is a fresh man and is looking for kinds he can relate with, noticed he was quick to identify with the blacks n their nationality? adebayor1490: Like if you think that d guy above me is only looking for likesAm serious here, this is the only way I can know if the power situation has improved. |
Like here if the power situation hasn't improved. |
Like here if the power situation has improved in your house. |
Since power was sold out the light situation has steadily become worse in my house. I want to know if anyone has a similar experience. I also want to know the reason for this, could it be because of pipeline vandalism or the increase power consumption due to investments in the manufacturing sector or any other reason. Please don't just view, contribute. |
Vado: A wake up call for African leaders. I think if eventually, Africa survives this plague, the health sector would be invested in heavily by right-thinking countries of course. How about the missionary Congolese nun. |
I feel Smart people aren't that successful because they don't have the courage to take risks. This is so because the very smart people are usually introverts. If all thing were equal smart people will be more successful because they will learn the rules of life faster. |
Montreal (AFP) - A patient back from Nigeria who showed symptoms of fever and flu -- possible signs of Ebola -- was put in isolation in a Toronto-area hospital, Canadian health officials said. The unnamed male patient was being treated at the William Osler Health System's Brampton Civic Hospital in a suburb of Toronto. "As a precautionary measure, Osler put in heightened infection control measures in the emergency department including isolating the patient," the hospital said in a statement, released late on Friday. Hospital doctors "are working closely" with public health officials "to confirm a diagnosis." In addition to quarantining the patient, the hospital said it enacted other strict precautionary measures. He also said that Ontario's health care system "is prepared to respond should an individual arrive with symptoms that could suggest a disease, such as Ebola." He cautioned that initial Ebola symptoms "are similar to many more common diseases," adding that health care providers "have been advised to be on heightened alert for Ebola cases." Another senior Ontario health official, Eric Hoskins, said in a statement that with the "experience and lessons learned from the SARS epidemic, our hospitals have sophisticated infection control systems and procedures ... and are fully equipped to deal with any potential cases of Ebola." The worst affected countries so far have been Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, but Nigeria has also had nine confirmed cases of Ebola so far. Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday declared a national emergency several hours after the World Health Organization called the epidemic a global health crisis. Mark Gasson In March 2009, British researcher Mark Gasson had a chip injected under the skin of his hand. The chip, a slightly more advanced version of the tags used to track pets, turned Gasson into a walking swipe-card. With a wave of his wrist, he could open security doors at the University of Reading laboratory, where his experiment was being conducted, and he could unlock his cell phone just by cradling it. A year later, Gasson infected his own implant with a computer virus, one that he could pass on to other computer systems if the building's networks were programmed to read his chip. As Gasson breezed around the the workplace, spreading the virus and corrupting computer systems, certain areas of the building became inaccessible to his colleagues. At the time of the experiment, theoretical physicist and author of "The Future of the Mind" Michio Kaku told FOX News that demonstrating the ability to spread infection was an "important point" because "we're going to have more chips in our body and clothing." Thousands of Americans already have implanted medical devices, including pacemakers, which are inserted into the chest to treat abnormal heart rhythms, and cochlear implants, which help deaf people to hear. But the future, Gasson says, is going to focus on implantable technology for healthy people. Part of the reason is that we continually look for ways to make our lives easier. The question is whether we're willing accept both the unintended and unknown consequences that come with giving up partial control of our bodies to technology. Human vs. Machine Implantable microchips provide a more intimate connection with technology than that of any other portable electronic device, like a cell phone or iPod, because the tag becomes a direct part of us when it's inserted into our body. Implants "have the potential to change the very essence of what it is to be human," Gasson said at a 2012 TEDX Talk. The susceptibility of human microchips to cyber attacks is one worry, but Gasson wanted to explore issues beyond common concerns related to privacy and security. That's why he conducted the experiment in two stages: A surgeon initially inserted a clean computer chip into his hand, and the computer virus was unleashed a little over a year later. During that time, Gasson and his team were particularly interested in studying the psychological implications of implanted devices. "There's an underlying feeling that [having an implantable device] is an alien phenomenon," said Gasson, a cybernetics expert. The only way to properly explore the psychological aspect was to have the device himself, he said. Source ;http://finance.yahoo.com/news/microchips-implanted-healthy-people-sooner-152916800.html |
