That's good, I only saw when you posted that you were heading to Chile last year Dec. Did you return or you haven't visited Chile at all till now?

I went to Brazil for something. Since I have visas of both countries

I have a residency card now. So I don't need a sticker visa but I can't risk coming to Nigeria with what I heard today. God forbid.

Good for you. Plan well if you want to visit Nigeria. My Kenyan friend travelled through Paris without transit visa. I don't know if it's because of our passport.

Are you in Chile or Nigeria?

I'm in Brazil now but would be heading to Chile soon

This should be a recent development men. I never had any issues at all. The things I am hearing aren't palatable o and I was thinking of going to Nigeria for Holiday. I go maintain first before village people use me do experiment grin grin grin

Don't come back yet o if not you will need a transit visa to go back. Is it possible to convert the e-visa to a sticker visa? The worst part we don't have Chilean embassy in Nigeria and the consulate in Ghana are not helping matters

He was allowed to board but he missed his first flight. The connecting flight is LATAM airways and imagine them saying they don't know how to verify his visa. LATAM airways is Chilean owned and their headquarters is in Santiago Chile. Dude was just discriminated against.

That is why I said the person should use sky. Getting to Chile from Nigeria is very hectic and the national Migration service don't have email to contact them if anything goes wrong.

Exactly but the return visa stuff is actually a new requirement. This was confirmed from qatar head office. Even while at the brazilian airport, the person met other nigerians seeking asylum in brazil.
The person should book sky airline ticket from Brazil to Chile. They only need to snap the visa and send to the national Migration service in Chile for confirmation before approval to board can be made. I don't know the kind of jobs those seeking asylum in Brazil want to do especially when you don't speak Portuguese

APC has finished Nigeria completely. I am in talk with someone who is coming to chile and even after getting his residency, getting to board the flight was war. First of all, the airline was requesting a return ticket even though this person has a valid residency. Their reason being that a very high number of Nigerians are seeking asylum and refugee status in brazil. They land brazil and immediately seek asylum so Nigerian passengers are now considered high risk. Now even in brazil he was denied his boarding to chile. They claimed they have never seen his type of visa before which was a complete lie. I told the person that hes being discriminated against cause hes Nigerian.

I know brazil is a good country but seeking asylum in brazil. Why? They wont put you in a camp and give you free money and food like european countries o. Wahala dey o shocked shocked shocked

Funny enough, brazil is the best route to use to come but with this insistence on a return ticket when even just the one way ticket is close to 2 million naira. Hmm. You will need a transit visa to come through spain or the US and both countries will never issue you one ever.

This is the latest challenge getting to Chile from Nigeria especially if you want to fly TAAG Angola Airlines. It's actually because the Chilean Visa is not also a sticker visa, so they doubt it's authenticity even if it has all the details

Thank you for your response @Newboy1102.
I have not paid for flight, but the accommodation booking would automatically debit my card by tomorrow.
The organisers in Brazil emailed them yesterday and they replied that the application is still in process. Will my visiting the consulate in-person to nudge them change anything?
Thanks
I don't think you could just walk into the consulate without any appointment. Just be patient and wait for their decision.

Are you enjoying your stay in Brazil? Any update for us?

I'm enjoying my stay. Yet to meet any Nigerian but I met an Angolan and three other Moroccans. A Brazilian guy that stays in the same building with me took me round the town via metro and paid the bills lol. Make sure you have a translator on your phone to help you communicate easily.

TAAG Angola is cheaper and without complications even for heavily pregnant women
I flew taag Angola to Sao Paulo now. Their Coordination is okay. However, when we got to Brazil the police told all the Nigerian guys before me to step aside for further scrutiny after collecting their passports. But, mine was stamped quickly. The lady only asked me where I am heading to.

Congrats bro, please I'd like for you to assist on how you started the whole process, my wife is pregnant and I'd like for her to give birth in Brazil. I just saw this thread and i don't know how to begin the application process
It might be very difficult for her to get it, except if the pregnancy is not yet visible.

Hello Bro,
How you doing?
Have you gotten any update on your application?

I'm good bro.
No update yet o I believe the delay was because of the too much public holidays. Hopefully this week we shall get a positive response from them

Please when did you submit your application?
Please what the time frame from submission of hard copies to invitation for interview?

From past experiences on this thread, the interview is just to ask questions about your application, questions like where are you going to, date of travel, source of funds and most importantly to see if you are pregnant, as it is their norms to invite female visa applicants for physical interview

Check your status. Mine has changed

I want to move to Chile this year. But, I was informed about legalizing my certificate of background in Accra. Please, how did you go about the whole visa application process and the time frame before your trip. Hopefully we can meet in Chile this year. Thanks
