Have you tried looking from the UK? And simply buy the flight from the UK?

Have you looked at medview's prices?
I don't trust medview cos my experience with arik is still fresh, they are birds of same feather.

Hello house. Please I need to know if its compulsory to leave from Nigeria. I'm seeing tickets cheaper from Togo and Ghana. Would I be penalised if I fly from neighboring country?

Hello my people. God is so good to me, pls join me thank Him. I picked my passport today and it was a positive outcome! I was so scared of the outcome because I mistakenly registered and wrote the wrong English test. Instead of life skill test, I took the general ielts!!.I had to write to them informing them I'm processing UK Naric which they didn't wait for before making decision.
Thanks to Lexus, justwise and other people who helped in one way or another.. I'm grateful, pls continue saving lives.

Praise the Lord, Hallelujah! The Lord has graduated another student from the school of nairaland.
I was here weeks/months ago, heartbroken about the court verdict in Nigeria on local government issued marriage certificate. I asked the house on their opinions and @justwise advised I push ahead with the application.
A big thank you to the house, everyone who contributed years ago to date. @justwise thank you so much. To all new and waiting students, study the manuals and do your best to submit as much documents as you can.

Type of Application: Settlement wife (Priority)
Online application submitted: 31st October
Biometric: 9th November
Email confirmation of support documents received: NONE
Decision made: 7th December
Collection email: 7th December
Courier delivery: 8 December
Picked up: 8th December

It took exactly 1month from my biometric. We are super excited as newly weds (last year) that have been separate since the wedding and hubby returned to UK.
If you can afford PRIORITY please do. It saves time and sleepless nights.
Time to go warm up hubby from the extreme cold in UK. grin
Congratulations! e no easy o

ronvlaar:
We have considered your application under paragraph EC-P 1.1 of Appendix FM. However, you do not qualify for entry clearance under the 5-year partner route for the following reasons: (one only reason tho)

Eligibility Financial Requirement
You do not meet the eligibility financial requirement of paragraphs E-ECP 3.1 to 3.4

You have stated you intend to meet this requirement through salaried employment with your sponsor having worked for her current employer for less than 6month. I note you have submitted evidence of her previous employer (Bleep). However if you are using employment with a company for less than 6months, you're required to submit 12months wage slips and bank statements, so we can confirm your sponsor total income is sufficient over the last year.

I note you submitted the following evidences:
Employment letter: Provided confirming salary and start date of July'16 for Bleep and also yyy May '17

Wage slips: Provided for both employments Bleep 19/08/2016 - 20/03/2017 and yyy 31/05/17 - 30/07/2017

Bank statements confirming salary submitted for the period Dec '16 - July '17

Therefore I'm unable to be satisfied you have submitted all of the required evidence to meet this rule.

Right of appeal
You have 28days from the date you receive this decision to appeal.

Meanwhile, we stated clearly we're using both salaried employment plus savings to meet the financial requirement and all evidences were submitted but its very obvious the savings part was neglected and ignored. She had over £25k in her savings for well over a year before we applied.
Job Bleep was paying £17,500 and she stopped in May, got job yyy paying £19,800 till August when we applied. Got another job (present one) paying £19,000.
What I don't get is why the case officer totally ignored the savings part.

Decision was made Nov 17, can u imagine thathuh
So sorry to hear this. I can imagine the pain after time and money spent. Its well dear

God has done it!!! This God is too much. Just picked up my passport and the entry clearance/visa in there *dancing******

After everything he has done it for me and He will do for those waiting as well. Below is my timeline:

Type of application: Settlement(wife) but I put in Settlement marriage(mistake)- Priority
Application Submitted: 28 September 2017
Biometrics: October 4, 2017
Sent for Decision : October 4, 2017
Application received by UK Immigration: October 5, 2017
Supporting Documents sent to Sheffield: October 10, 2017
After coming across this topic on Nairaland, I realized the mistake I made in my application by choosing Settlement-marriage instead of Settlement-Wife and it was already too late for another application.
Wrote them a letter explaining the error and asking them for the IHS link : October 24,2017
Surprisingly got a an email requesting for payment for the IHS : November 22, 2017 (I leaped for joy)
Decision made email : December 1, 2017
Collection Email: December 4, 2017
Picked up : Today, Dec 5, 2017

Thank you to everyone that shared their experiences and everyone in the house. So excited!!!!

Baba God, Thank You.

P.s. I thought paying for Priority would mean faster process but all the same I’m happy.
Congratulations! Happy for you. See you on the other side.

Hello house please I need to know to contact Home office because I need to explain that I'm in the process of applying for UK Naric certification. The required document (transcripts and certificate) is taking time to be ready and I don't want them making decision based on the wrong English test I wrote. Pls help!!
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Bond140: 3:22am On Oct 28, 2017
foxyvisa:
I hope this information isn't coming late. You can get your transcript by hand from your university if you narrate your plight at the faculty or senate level. It's being done several times but peeps really don't talk about it because it's not supposed to be so. It all depends on how long it takes for your department, faculty and senate to process the transcript.
Here is the response I got from Naric when I asked if I can begin the application with my statement of result
"Thank you for your message.

You are very welcome to begin your application with your current documentation, as in some instances we are able to process an application without the final certificate, however this is not guaranteed.

You can request your institution to forward your transcripts directly to us so that we can add them to your application. If applying for an English language assessment, then we will also require a medium of instruction letter from your institution in an official letter format confirming that your course was taught solely in English.

Kind regards,

UK NARIC

readynow:
well this is a tip on how to go about your transcript.i just got mine you can apply using a company or a friend company address if your institution get transcript throught EXT-NG(an online transcript site that has most institutions signed up) go online to the site register and fill in the form.see how i did mine knowing my transcript cannot be delivered to my by hand

1 i went to the site and register i.e https://www.etx-ng.com/
2. register by clicking on student/alumni tab and click order for a transcript
3. enter your infromation for registration like your email and your other information
4 after registration login in and go to apply for transcript
for Naric they do not require hard copy of your cv just he softcopy which makes it ok and easy.what i did was i created an email using a company name@gmail.com
5. choose recieving institution for the transcript and enter the email address of the company you created so that when they will send the transcript?(softcopy it will get to you through this campany email you created)
also make sure that whatever company name you will be using a physical address alhough this will not be verified
after making payment use GTB mastercard.
then begin the follow up at your institution.note that your transcript will not come on a plata of Gold you have to follow up with your institution
Thanks for the response. Please how long did it take to receive the transcript? And how much?
You mentioned that I have to follow up with my institution! How do I go about that? Do I have to call or go to my school again after paying them to get the transcript?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Bond140: 10:56pm On Oct 25, 2017
justwise:
You can do that since the processing time is 12wks at least
Thank you @justwise for the response but unfortunately I can not sit for the correct test because without my passport which I submitted with the application I cannot write the test. The only option is the UK NARIC. To get transcript is a problem because schools only forward the transcripts to schools not individuals and I need the transcripts for upload on the UK Naric site for them to process it. I just don't know what to do now whether to apply with statement of results only?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Bond140: 8:51pm On Oct 24, 2017
@justwise what do you suggest I do now? Take the proper test and send to them?

@justwise @lexusgs430 pls what are the chances of getting a refusal due to my mistake in taking the wrong English test? I took general test instead of life skill test! I'm paranoid now cry
