Nobody will tell them to end the strike.

This further confirms to me you are limited in knowledge. How easy it was for you to pick the US without stating that there are strong institutions to ensure accountability, probity and transparency to the people and pick up errant rogues within the system,at least to a great extent.

How easily you avoided countries that practice rigid ans stronger central autonomy but are thriving. Denmark changed its local government system on 2007 to a stronger centre and they're thriving, China,Singapore and to sone extent, Japan(with a stronger perfecture system) dont complain so much about local government automomy for them to see progress. Only buffons like you think Nigerias only solution is local government autonomy.

I am sure you got this off some fellow dimwits like you discussing publicly, very likely at a newspaper vendor stand near your ghetto in Mushin or Ajah bus stop in Lagos, and gbam!! ....by a stroke of misfortune, .myou all came to thought that Local government autonomy is the silver bullet to all the structural, economic and political solutions in Nigeria. This same way people in 1978 thought the Presidential system would solve all Nigerian issues ans jettisoned the Parliamentsry system...only for them to be valling for the return of the same Parliamentary system of givernment again as echoed by so many public commentators recently.

You all are daft. The system of the government or structure will always be as good as the people running it. Oponu!!
Here you go rambling again. Your gibberish is of no consequence, but I owe it to myself to teach people like you.

Whether you like it or not, if the LGAs are not autonomous, meaningful progress cannot be made in this country. The LGAs are the base and development must go from bottom to the top, else you will keep running in circles. People fit into the structure in a place. A strong institution is also a structure. Who is the visionary leader you want to put in this current local government structure that will transform it? Either you have totally lost touch with reality or do not understand the problem at hand. One thing I'm in agreement with is that your oblivity is outstanding.

You must adapt solutions to your circumstance. Not copy and paste. This is Nigeria, and presently one of the solutions to the underdevelopment bedeviling the country is autonomy to the LGAs.

As our chief law officer, he is empowered by our constitution to make such representation. It is left for the ICC to decide after his submissions.

Are there angels running the American system or other functional systems? Bring whatever visionary leader you want and put him in the local government system with this current structure, no progress will be made. I have to teach you these things because you clearly have no understanding, yet shamelessly arrogant in your ignorance. Just parroting words.

The LG chairmen are immuned to looting and bad governance, right?

Brainwashed buffoon.

Truth is fir meaningful development, you need disciplined, selfless and visionary leaders....structure of governance doesn't necessarily lead to development automatically
Who is this rascal? You better go back to school. Structure matters a lot. The one we have is being stifled at the grassroot. Nothing is going to change until that is fixed. Don't comment on things you don't understand. Charlatan.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Syrian Rebels Capture Majority Of Aleppo As Russia’s Forces Abandon Bases(photos by BondRiv: 6:40am On Dec 01, 2024
Dogalmighty17:
Folks worldwide are wondering who the US supports in all these.
The truth is damn if anyone knows. Shit there is so complex. At some point during Obamas time in office, the state department and the CIA were arming and supporting opposing camps/different rebel factions who hated each other.
Some jihadist groups were for Assad and some against. Hell, some just joined the fighting with no clear goals.
I think much later on, the West decided they weren't drunk enough for all that shit and basically decided to pass on the party. Even Russia, before the shit going on in Ukraine really hit the fan, was beginning to scale back on its involvement.

Assad and his family were in Moscow as at the time of these attacks though the plane that carried them was reported to have returned to Syria. It is not immediately clear whether Assad returned as well.

It is being reported that a coup is currently happening in Syria led by Assad's younger brother. With Russia currently distracted in Ukraine and Iran and Hezbollah afraid to make moves, Assad who they have been protecting, is exposed and weak. Which is why this coup is going on.

Whatever it is, it will remain a shitshow but from the look of it, Assads time as leader of Syria is over.

Another way to view this is that it is possible the US and France really want to f(u)ck Russia up. Syria is host to the only Russian navy base that gives Russia access to a warm water port. During winter, Russians ports are essentially frozen and its military needs access to a warm water port which Syria provides. If Assad goes, Russia loses that access.
US wants regime change. They want Assad out and that is all you need to know. Perhaps, this advancement might slow down once Trump takes over, as he seems disinterested in regime change. Biden's administration is escalating everything everywhere all at once.
