The increase is much and sudden, if implemented, the consequences on the economy will be catastrophic. 494k as minimum wage is not realistic. Let the increase be done gradually. Just as the politicians, including, the president, governors, lawmakers, etc, should take a significant pay cut. They are the ones killing this country. Collecting so much, which they are not worth and doing so little. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Claudia Sheinbaum Elected Mexico's First Female President by BondRiv: 7:45pm On Jun 03, 2024 |
Puss360: We have a long way to go.... Since independence, only men have been in power both as governors and presidents... Yet, unfortunately the country isn't going anywhere... Let's try woman as President or Senate president or at least, State governor!!!! Are Nigeria's problems gender-based? Is that why Labour is on strike? What difference will a change in gender make? The problems are not gender-based. Women are no different. Just as we have seen in other offices, they equally engage in corruption. Anyway, what you listed are elected offices, unlike those done by appointments, where they could be given preferential treatment. For elected offices, everyone is on equal footing. No discrimination. No law bars women from contesting. The last time a woman ran for the office of the president, how many women voted for her? Although, I don't support voting based on gender alone. |

OneCandleAway: Do you really think you know the amount of oil Niger produces. Even Nigeria doesn't have a way to know the amount of barrels produced, that's why there's lots of theft.
Corruption is everywhere but all black countries take it to another level. That's why even Haiti that is outside Africa is corrupt. A black man has less empathy that white. You have made it about race. Are you white? How can you make such a baseless statement? Do you know what empathy means or you just self-hate? Do you know the atrocities the whites have committed in this world? Go and acquire knowledge please, I despise ignorance. |
