There was pandemonium in Awka-Etiti area of Anambra state after a businessman simply identified as Ebuka, was humiliated and disgraced after being accused of killing a 9-year old boy who in the region. According to reports, the boy was said to stolen biscuits from the accused shop in the company of his younger brother.

According to a report by Eyewitness, trouble began when his skin and that of his brother began to rot. The parents made some attempts to inquire the root the problem through spiritual means and it was gathered that accused was alleged to have a hand in it.

Reports reveal that the dealer who dedicated his shop to some deities in Ukpor in Anambra State was demanding for the sum of N15m. N475,000 was paid (according to an eyewitness) and all attempts to save the life of the lad proved abortive as he gave up before the parents, Ebuka and the deity within the week.

The leaders of Awka-Etiti therefore swung into action to arrest the Culprit as they paraded him unclad, locked his shop and seized his goods.

A woman has landed in hospital after being hit by a speeding car in Delta state. According to reports, the woman was strolling on the streets in company of other women before a speeding driver with car registration number FST 396 BQ. LAGOS - rammed into her and climbed on top of her leg.

The woman was rescued by passersby who rushed to the scene as they lifted the car off her. The wounded woman who was in pains - was rushed to the hospital where she's currently being treated.

A lady identified as Vera Uloma Ukah, a Batch C 2016 Corp member, deployed to Sapele in Delta State has been declared missing for more than 9 days now, according to a report elder brother. Her family members have been left in distress due to the development as nothing has been heard from the missing corper.

Enugu State Police Command on Monday announced the arrest of a popular Enugu cleric, Bishop Ginika Obi of the City of Liberation and Comfort Ministry for allegedly defrauding some members of his church and the general public through an illegal financial institution.

A press statement by Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Ebere Amaraizu, Superintendent of Police (SP), and made available to journalists, stated that Bishop Obi is now helping the operatives of the Commissioner of Police Enugu Monitoring Unit, following his arrest over the weekend from a hotel in a Enugu from where he has been taking refuge, having evaded arrest for several months.

“Before now, the suspect, who hails from Unuaku Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, was a Bishop in charge of City of Liberation and Comfort Ministry Enugu and in charge of an alleged financial NGO known as Build Your Generational Organisation (BGO) where his victims are made to invest with a hope of reaping a bumper financial dividend.

“It was learnt that his victims are numerous and with various degrees of complaint of huge amount of swindled from them without any thing to show for it,” Amaraizu said.

According to the PPRO, the suspect on noticing that police operatives were on his trail based on the complaint of alleged swindling of some suspected members of the public/victims of money to the tune of N500 million, escaped and relocated to Asaba in Delta state to avoid being nabbed by the operatives.

A young man got more than he bargained for after he decided to steal a wheel barrow of clothes from a seller in Rivers state. The thief who was with his stealing squad appeared to have successfully stolen the wears. But luck ran out on one of them after some community youths quickly ran after them and apprehended this one....

The 'unlucky' thief was dealt with very well before was handed over to the police by the youths...

There was a mild show after some indigenes of Abuja yesterday morning interrupted activities at the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation (OHSF) as they protested unclad AGAIN, demanding for a permanent secretary slot. The protesters said to be mainly of Gbaygi extraction carried placards with various inscriptions, and blocked the entrance to the office of the Head of Service.

Their moves were however, curtailed by heavy presence of security operatives who condoned off the place with Armoured Personnel Carriers.

More updates have emerged concerning Maxwell Olusegun Adegbenro, who was arrested for impersonation - as it has been revealed that he also impersonated other people in order to dupe his victims which were mainly ladies. The young man allegedly collected close to N1 million from two ladies in Ibadan, Oyo State, promising them marriage. Adegbenro, is presently being detained at Agugu Police Station, Ibadan for collecting N500,000 from one Olubode Nifemi Kikelomo, claiming to be younger brother of Governor Ayodele Fayose’s Media Aide, Lere Olayinka.

According to multiple online reports, he was also said to have collected N300, 000 from another Ibadan based lady, Titilayo Akinola.

Olubode Nifemi, a make-up artist and entertainer was said to have set Adegbenro up and got him arrested, using another lady, Ronke Gold.

When contacted, Lere Olayinka said; “Sometimes in July, popular singer, Yinka Ayefele called me and said that a young lady came to his radio station in Ibadan to report a case of one Sayo Adegbenro, duping her of N500,000.

“I was made to talk to the lady on phone and she narrated how the said Sayo Adegbenro told her that I was his uncle and that she spoke with me on phone twice. I told her that I do not know the said Sayo Adegbenro and I did not speak with anyone on phone.

“I then told the lady that she had been duped and that she should find means of locating the said Sayo Adegbenro. It was this morning that I was told that he had been arrested and other ladies are also coming up with claims that he scammed them too.”

Pictured is a young lady who was among the victims of the accident that left many dead, 12 vehicles burnt to ashes in Felele area of Lokoja in Kogi state . Ngozi Nmadu, a young barrister and a blogger gave up the ghost after being involved in the ghastly auto accident between a commercial bus and a petrol tanker on Friday.

The accident occurred as a result of a head-on collision involving a bus and tanker laden with 33,000 litres of petrol.

Most of the victims were occupants of an 18-seater bus believed to be owned by Delta Line.

Ngozi is the first daughter of Hon Emeka Nmadu from Okpanam, who was just called to bar 2 years ago.

Her friends have taken to Facebook to mourn her tragic death.

May her soul rest in peace.

Real estate agents in Nigeria are very greedy. Most of them dont even know where to find genuine properties. They will look for real estate consultants of this various real estate companies to get properties details. After they have gotten it, they will then boycott the Consultant, stop picking his calls. Because they want double money. They will collect agent fee from the buyer, agreement fee etc. from the buyer. They will not disclose the true nature of the land to the buyer. They are just after their money.

As a result of this trend, they make real estate consulting job very difficult. Cos most buyers thinks Consultants are agents.

Most real estate consultants of reputable companies dont collect money from buyers. They are paid by the company. So if anyone is asking you to bring money for him to show you land, better run.

Multiple reports reaching National Helm have it that Abak Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state is currently under siege as one of the banks was attacked by men of the underworld. As at the time of filing this report, one woman has already been shot by the armed robbers. The young woman was reportedly hit by a stray bullet, as armed robbers attacked Sterling bank.

The incident occurred at about 4.30pm today, with the gunmen shooting sporadically to scare away passers-by.

It is not clear yet whether the robbers were successful in carting away money.

The incident came few hours after Mr. Zubairu Muazu assumed duty as the new Commisoner of Police in Akwa Ibom State.

Rapid response officers and men of the NPF have reportedly arrived the scene.

The area is totally locked down...
