Arrest and jail those criminals Most banks have the money but sell to their cronies, the rich, influential and highest bidders. Then the remnant is distributed to the masses.

These bank are engaged in economic sabotage, it should be classified as terrorism.

I won't be surprised if BAt APC faction are also doing all they can to ensure that mobile banking also fails. To put more pressure on Buhari to reverse the policy.

The kind of money these guys have stolen can disrupt and destabilise the economies of the whole of Africa. They can use their stolen wealth to always have their way. This is why Nigeria must go cashless, it would reduce crime to an extent. Buhari must remain steadfast with the policy.

CBN needs to start showing those arrested on national TV and ensure they sit on the ground like criminals while being interviewed.

She’s facing trial alongside her parents. Not a witness.

ok, now I ask, should someone whose health is in a critical condition face trial for something her parents did, just because they did it for her? This is common sense, that judge is just being high handed.

So if you have a sick child and you embark on every legal and illegal means to save your child, unfortunately you were arrested. Should your child be under trial with you.

Forget about what the doctor said, Kidney ailment is life and death.

in court proceedings there is always an avenue for argumentum and misericordia. I don't care about Ekweremadu and his wife. I am more concerned about the health of the girl which could escalate as a result of this case, irrespective of what the doctor said. The lady is not a Nigerian politician.

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has directed banks to dispense new naira notes via Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and banking halls or risk losing their lands to the state government.

Zulum gave the warning after visiting branches of banks in Maiduguri the state capital, to assess problems being faced by residents trying to access new naira notes.

[/b]“Any bank in Borno State that is not willing to ensure their ATMs are fully dispensing new naira notes cash to ease the suffering of our people, we will withdraw their land title immediately. We will only spare Banks with genuine constraints that are verifiable” Zulum said.

Before that declaration, Zulum said he was unhappy when he saw hundreds of people queued at a bank’s branch, with only one out of 10 ATMs dispensing cash.[b]

[/b]“As you can see here, only less privileged people are queued up. I didn’t see rich people here. Many people are said to be here since 3:00 am, some could not even eat anything. The new naira note and even the old ones are not available and that is adversely affecting commercial activities in the state and people are suffering” Zulum said as he sympathize with people in queues.[b]

[/b]The Governor said further: “We just released salaries of about 5 billion naira and the banks don’t have money, some of the ATMs are not working. We don’t have any problem with the CBN policy or the withdrawal limit, they said individuals can only withdraw N20,000, but why can’t everyone have access to that N20,000?” he said.[b]


“Yesterday I was in Gubio with a population of over 70,000 people but it was impossible to source N100,000 in the entire local government, neither of the new note nor the old notes. A ram that is worth N100,000 is now being sold for N35,000 because people are desperate for cash, and some wicked rich people are going to rural areas to exploit poor people” Zulum noted.

The Governor urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to ensure the availability of new notes at commercial banks for people to access their money.

“Right now in Borno State, I have visited more than ten ATMs and there’s no cash” Zulum said.

Talk with senses,the reality is CBN is lying,I work with bank they came to took the old money on Wednesday without bring a dime of new note as I speak right now no money in the ATM and vault.

I would skip the insult. Those selling the currencies where did they get it from. From CBN? Didn't you see the video where someone was spraying bundles of new notes in a party. You work in a bank, so please explain how those guys got the money.

The moment the money was distributed by the CBN to the bank's that's the moment they started selling. Those that bought earlier, bought massively (despite the CBN putting a limit on withdrawal) and are selling and hoarding the money at the same time.
Unscrupulous bankers cum Nigerians are the cause of all these.

They should take the protest to banks and their headquarters with unscrupulous workers. They are the ones selling the scarce Naira to their cronies.

They should channel their protest to banks and their head offices. These banks with unscrupulous managers and workers are the cause of the naira scarcity. Selling the notes to their cronies who in turn sell to pos guys.

I don't know what CBN and DSS is waiting for to start dealing with some of these banks.
