ClintonDal:bride price in most places depends on the family. I know of a nsukka man that took only 60 naira for bride price of his daughter, so its not a general thing, if u look at that list u would see its a community in nsk and not the whole nsk |
IAMTHEHERO: Shadrach Meshach and Abednego... ![]() |
when I saw the headline, was thinking the soldiers went there to recover lands taken by foreigners. "soldiers storm kwara" smh, Nigeria is in trouble if a small Bennin can have the morale and impetus to encroach on its territory. |
let who the people want win. |
Appleyard:. exactly, "zombies" is the name for Europeans. they supported the u.s in causing refugee problems in Syria because of trying to oust Assad, now they are taking in the refugees, while the same u.s that they joined to fight has rejected any Syrian refugee. Europeans are just bring foolish they need to wise up. Russia is not and can never be their problem. |
Russian cruise missiles hit ISIS from Mediterranean & Caspian; 600 killed in one strike. The Russian military has launched cruise missiles against Islamic State positions in Syria from both the Mediterranean and Caspian seas, one of which killed over 600 terrorists in the Deir Ex-Zor Province, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said. “On November 20, the warships of the Caspian Fleet launched 18 cruise missiles at seven targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. All targets were hit successfully,” he reported to President Vladimir Putin. Overall, there are 10 warships taking part in the operation, six of which are in the Mediterranean. islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) have been suffering huge losses as a result of the Russian offensive, Shoigu said, adding that data on the ground shows that the flow of terrorists arriving in Syria has decreased, while more and more militants are fleeing the warzone to head north and south-west. Over the past four days, Russian air forces have conducted 522 sorties, deploying more than 100 cruiseissiles and 1,400 tons of bombs of various types, the minister stated. he added that a strike on a target in deir ez-Zor utilizing multiple cruise missiles had killed more than 600 militants.Shoigu stressed that the number of aircraft taking part in the operation has been doubled, and now consists of 69 jets conducting 143 sorties on a daily basis. The minister pointed out that Russia is focused on destroying the terrorists’ economic base, having targeted 15 oil storage and refinery facilities as well as 525 oil trucks. “We stopped supplies of 60,000 tons of oil per day to the black market and terrorists are losing $1.5 million daily,” Shoigu said. Russia has also destroyed 23 jihadists training camps, 19 plants producing explosives, 47 ammunition depots, as well as many other targets, according to the minister. in addition, Russia’s air campaign has provided significant support for Syrian government troops near Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia and Palmyra, he noted. He also added that the Russian military has begun cooperating with its French counterparts, as ordered by President Putin. The Defense Ministry has published a video showing Russian servicemen at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria writing ‘For our people’ and ‘For Paris’ on bombs that were later dropped on the terrorists. “We have a lot of evidence that Russian airstrikes are effective,” Syrian Brigadier General Ali Maihub told Interfax. “Russian mass airstrikes did irreparable damage to international terrorist organizations in Syria, disrupted their administration and financing systems and destroyed their bases and depots,” he added. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov still maintains that Russia will not engage in a ground operation against the IS in Syria. “There has been no discussion about a ground operation and there is still no discussion,” Peskov told reporters. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State john Kerry have discussed in a phone conversation the need for a joint effort to combat Islamic State in Syria, as well as the necessity of launching talks between Damascus and the Syrian opposition, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. A US official said on Friday that Russia has given the US advance notice before airstrikes at least three times since the attacks in Paris, Reuters reports. https://www.rt.com/news/322881-russia-cruise-missiles-isis/ |
gab264:exactly my thoughts, there is no way the world would take Biafra serious when shell bp chevron and co ,are still drilling oil without stress, just one strike in any pipeline or oil rig and this country is doomed. then CNN would be the first to talk biafra. but this govt should still be given a chance |
PLANETMARS: this guy na wa for this ur post. though true and real .. |
na wa o, only state election is as violent as this, |
Rayhut:exactly tribalism and hatred has eaten so deep in our mind that no remedy can be found. thanks to buhari who exposed and supported fully this tribalistic aroma we are sniffing. it would be very hard for a civilized or rational thinking person to survive in this hell called Nigeria. |
baby124:u are the type that loves suffering and smiling, if u read the article well, u would have seen where it was stated the true federalism is the best or disintegration. I don't know what fake Eldorado u are talking about, if it's Biafra, nothing bad in giving it a trial, as clearly stated in the article Biafra is not the best option cause igbos can be very desperate, bit with the situation in the country nothing bad in giving it a trial. Nigerians voted in buhari not because they believed he was better than goodluck but they wanted to try elsewhere as some people were tired of pdp. that's the same thing that should happen to Nigeria, true federalism or disintegration, lets try something else, as this present day Nigeria has nothing to offer civilized minds. |
they should have not disobeyed the ncc rule at first. the govt can pity them and request for half payment.. |
so flouting court orders in for our interest, why don't the fg challenge the court decision to grant dasuki permission to travel in another court of law. |
FREEEMANAN:this quote, pls remind me the author. |
I have watched the direction at which this country is heading to, and I have come to realize that it is on the part of total annihilation. for those that think the prediction of Nigerian disintegration by 2015 by the U.S has failed, I suggest you have a rethink. Boko haram is the creation of the west. the boko haram menace was at an infinitesimal stage around 2009, because it was still under the sponsorship and direction of some disgruntled Mohammed Yusuf followers, after the death of yar adua and the emergence of goodluck Jonathan, the number of disgruntled northerners increased. some still angry about the kangaroo killing of Mohammed Yusuf and some angry with goodluck for emerging as a president. This angry people saw boko haram as a tool to vent their anger and it continued till 2011, which saw goodluck emerged as the president. Now this was a great avenue for the plotters of Nigerian disintegration to utilize effectively, conniving with the disgruntled northerners, to damage the tenure of goodluck and also to make sure their prediction came to pass. The boko haram war turned surprisingly when the terrorist started bombing mosques even more than churches, bombing anything they could bomb, that was when the disgruntled northerners knew the terrorist had slipped out of their hands and there was no way to call them back. even worse the government was starved of the right weapons to fight them, by some powerful countries or by the disintegration predictors. Now for those of you who think that God saved this country from disintegration, you might have a rethink because God had long abandoned this criminal entity called Nigeria, the man we should all be greatful to is former president Goodluck Jonathan. The prediction of the west was that the south would never accept a defeat of goodluck Jonathan, and would fight to death if Jonathan looses which would put Nigeria in a state of anarchy and conflict, and possibly war, which the west would sponsor heavily arming the south and the north, then after they might have made so much profit from whatever arms they sold they would then appear as peace makers, providing a solution for disintegration. But unfortunately such was averted with a single phone call from goodluck which I know shocked the west, cause they never believed a Nigerian leader would accept an election that saw him loose. for those who know the west, all their plans always has a plan b, plan C, etc. the plan b is reviving the Biafra struggle, which buhari has made so easy for them through his actions, (only if he had the wisdom of GEJ). Nnamdi kanu established radio Biafra which became more pronounced after the election, even when the Nigerian govt blocked the station, it still went ahead to operate using superior tech that even the NBC can't dream of, to the extent that radio Nigeria in Enugu was disconnected by radio Biafra for a whole day, remember this guys were operating from outside Nigeria, though with a little bit of inside help, how did they get those technology they were using. Nnamdi kanu knowing fully well he would be arrested strolled into Nigeria, and once again the predictable president fell for the trap and arrested him even disobeying court orders to release him (that's if he hasn't been killed), his coming to Nigeria was for a purpose which is gradually being fulfilled. how else can u destabilize a government and cause chaos if not by reviving boko haram again,( which was on sabbatical when buhari entered, probably to give him some sense of bravado) who are now bombing wherever they like even kidnapping or (killing)105, soldiers in one day, ( though as expected the army denied such took place), also reviving the Biafra struggle, at the same time, and reviving the west Africa border rivalry, with the recent news of Benin republic occupying some part of kwara. not forgetting the Fulani killing rampage( I don't know how this ones fit in) with the way things are now, only buhari can save this country that is, if he removes his northern tribalistic cap and put on his wisdom cap . cause the disintegration prediction has just been resurrected. even though I would like Nigeria to still be, cause igbos would kill themselves in Biafra, the problems of this country is giving me a second thought. if an hausa man becomes president he would face all manner of destructive opposition from an igbo or Yoruba man, and it all equally goes vice versa. if apc enters power and does all the evils pdp did, apc supporters would ask pdp to shut up cause they did the same thing, they are not saying it is not wrong but because pdp did the same thing, apc can do theirs. so tell me how Nigeria can be great, how can Nigeria develop. with the way things are its either we practice true federalism or we go our separate ways. as no meaningful thing can come out from the Nigerian project bonechamberlain |
lanrefront1:this is Nigeria where appointments are made using sentiments, so expect the cjn to bulge to powerful people especially when he knows they can influence his removal. |
LegatusGlaber:the drawing board is already filled up, the people I pity are the innocent lives being lost daily, as for apc ... |
lanrefront1:. let us be careful in this country, remember its the supreme Court we are talking about, if the cries of "eminent lawyers", can make the cjn to disband a legally constituted panel, then we are in trouble, cause any govt can come into power and get some "eminent lawyers" on its side asking them to cry out loud on any case that doesn't favour the govt, thereby putting pressure on the cjn to form another or reconstitute the panel. we should not be playing politics with the judiciary especially at the highest level " the supreme Court". |
boujaye:exactly the beneficiaries are mostly southerners, who is to blame when the north value religion more than education. |
CCsurplus007:correct exactly my thoughts.. this four years of buhari is going to be hell for civilized and rational thinking people. |
lanrefront1:so u are saying a "supreme Court" justice gave an illegal judgement |
lanrefront1:why is the panel being reconstituted, in as much as I want corruption to be fought, the fg/judiciary should not make it so obvious that it is fighting saraki, why the rush to try him. |
may God help this country, buhari's govt is putting confusion into the judiciary, any judgement that doesn't favour apc would be decided again, even in the supreme Court. this is a bad precedence for this country. |
coming from the same apc that asked banks not to borrow wike. |
the vigil hasn't started yet. with a population of over 160 million Nigeria should have the highest number of gullible and irrational thinking citizens in Africa if not the world. |
no need to vow again, December is still far. |
topfally75:I understand ur point. but any private owned fuel station can give reasons why they won't open. eg lack of power (electricity), damaged meters etc. kachikwu can only order NNPC stations which are govt owned, it would be difficult to pin down any private fuel station legally. |
midolian:a real donkey. for 24 years, rubbish. |
