It is all monarchical government not affected in the reform change, if I am completely correct. No rebel group is trying to topple the monarchical government of Saudi yet. If there is a serious one and the kingdom refuse to make reforms(which the kingdom is trying not to do) it may end up like Syria.

He refuses the reforms but chooses to make some based on his terms which he never did.

if assad had a close relationship with the u.s, and if he had allowed the gas pipelines from Saudi or Qatar to pass through his country to Europe the u.s would sing his name in high places.

Assad has agreed there would be reforms but he must take part in any reforms decision, very soon the u.s would have to accept that.
