So what is new ? |
Bros, I assume your real dilemma is which of the two banks to elect for. Anyway, I have a junior brother who is in his second year with First Bank having joined as a fresher. While he always complains about the internal dynamics of working with a first generation bank which does not seem to cater for or have the real interests of freshers and young upstarts in the bank, he lets me know that the experience is welcome and vital. I have a sneaking suspicion that he won't be in the bank for another year as the promotion / career ladder in the bank is very long and winded. I recommend First bank ! |
Is a great pity about the crowd control or lack thereof. Hope the South African authorities can prevent these times of ugly scenes in the next four weeks ! I still do not hold out much hope for the Eagles though. |
You must be joking ! Sacrifice my life for Nigeria ? Look at how Nigeria has shown its appreciation to Nigerians who have down the line sacrificed their lives for Nigeria. NO WAY ! |
From the initial reading of your post I believe the lady has two lines of actions to pursue. One against British Airways and the second against the British Immigration authorities. In respect of British Airways, the airline was her carrier and it was their responsibility to ensure that she was taken to Canada from Nigeria without any mis hap. I am surprised that the airline abomdoned the lady to the devices of the immigration authorities especially when she had not committed any offence and was simply in the UK due to the volcano disturbance. It is appalling and tragic to hear that the lady was detained for over SEVEN days - what did BA do all this time. They do have a case to answer. Since BA had learnt that she would not be allowed into the UK despite the fact that ordinarily she was eligible to, they had the option of either making her as comfortable as possible, either at the airport or in town. They had the capacity to make representations to the immigration authorities. Of course the other line of action open to the lady is directly to the immigration authorities by putting up a formal protest / petition setting out all the facts of the matter and demanding for redress. I suggest that the lady, in the first instance, should contact a solicitor who will be able to brief her on the possible options she has. I wish her luck. |
I can assure you that the police could have got up to a lot more dangerous mischief ! |
Had meetings to attend on Saturday from morning till 5pm. Then hanged out in Lekki with my expatriate staff till midnight before retiring for the day. Spent most of Sunday dozing, watching tv and surfing the net ! |
Wetin ? Wetin ? |
Chaps, the real test will come next week ! However, I do not hold out much hope in the Super Eagles doing well ! |
I do hope this proposition is just one expensive joke. |
Why do we always fool ourselves ? |
Ribadu is an HONOURABLE MAN ! End of Discussion ! |
Wole We spoke. Thanks |
Nairalanders, I work for a new construction company based on the Island in Lagos which requires the immediate services of Driver. The ideal person who should be between 25 to 35 years old should have experience working in a corporate environment and driving in Lagos. The person will initially be attached to an officer of the company who lives at Magodo, opposite 7 Up. The person should be mature, well mannered and be willing to multi task. Stating salary is N40k per month. I can be contacted on 0802 292 4344. |

I do not think he should be included; he should make way for a much more younger, fitter and agile player. However, he can attend the world cup as an ambassador of Nigeria and give advice to the coach as well as members of the team. We need a fresh pair of legs ! |
As tempting as it might look, please ignore advice of babsmii ! |
isthis4real We can all see that you are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea - either you report the incident to the bank and risk one of theofficers of the bank converting the money to his/her personal use OR you keep quiet, pray (?)and play the waiting game in the belief that after probably a few weeks nobody will raise an eyebrow and you will be free to spend the money. I believe that is a concise summary of your predicament. From the posts so far the majority of members prefer you to report the incident, albeit in a very wise manner so as to deduce whether the crediting of your account was intentional or in error. I tend to agree with this line of action. Why you may ask ? Form the simple reason that you are already in debt, by your own words. So why do you want to risk mounting up more debt by spending a huge amount of money which does not belong to you. you may be able to spend it in three month;s time and get away with it but who is to say tyhat sometime in the future , maybe in 6, 7 or 8 months time the (erroneous) crediting of your account is not discovered. My advice is to simply ensure the money is returned to the bank - ensure the return is DOCUMENTED and copied to as many bank officials as you can (you can even put the head office of the bank in the loop). To spend the money will mean your heart will always be in your mouth or skip a beat whenever you see a strange number calling you or you hear a knock at your door. In this case it is better to err on the side of caution. The money is not worth the risk. I rest my case ! |
What is all the fuss about ? |
What's all the fuss for ? |
No wonder you were asking for the services of a lawyer ? |
Na wa o. I f I had been asked before reading the posts whether one could start a business with N3,000 I would have sworn that it would be impossible. However, with the responses I have read so far I do not need to look any further for business advice. Well done team. |
Did I make any grammatical mistakes ? |
I wonder what would inform Dangote's decision to seek a stake in Arsenal as i cannot identify any synergy with his existing lines of businesses ! |
I am happy for The Special One - he worked smartly and deserves the success. Lets see if he can reproduce that form when he joins Real Madrid. |
I hear they sell al lot of gold jewellery in Dubai ! |
Sometime in the past I had actually read something similar to these allegations in one of Nigeria's popular dailies. Anyway, my parting words after reading most of the posts so far on this topic are : 1. There is no smoke without fire 2. Level past level; and 3. Tread softly |
I don hear ! Lets throw the baby away with the bath water. |
Still learning ! |
