The major good and mature thing which I can pick out of the comments of David Mark is his suggestion that the executive and the legislature should dialogue more closely. It is certain that if the two bodies had been having regular and very candid dialogue then each would be aware of the concerns of the other and they would fashion out a way to properly complement each other without all these un necessary public spats which does nobody any good ! |
Continue to watch this space ! |
Methinks the real issue should be for the FG to make concerted and serious efforts to end the campaign of terror - simple ! |
The answer is simple - the EPL is professionally run by serious minded people who have realised that if football is run properly it can provide entertainment as well as make money. The EPL has no, repeat NO input from government whatsoever !!! So you have the best brains and entrepreneurs involved in the nurture and management of football and that is why you find investors from all nooks and crannies across the world eager to invest in the EPL. If the Nigerian premier league is to take its rightful place among the comity of footballing nations then government has to get out of the management of football and leave it to the professionals ! |
I think the proper question is why does the President of the country have to give an order for this issue to be resolved - what is the Minister of Education doing ? I would assume this is something which the Minister should have been able to resolve ! One could even argue how is it that the Vice Chancellor could preside over the admission of "un-qualified"students on such a scale that it has now become a national issue ?? |
Now we know why the Federal Government insists on increasing the price of petrol - they have run out of cash ! |
There is more to this than meets the eye ! |
So who is fooling who ? |
Very funny ! |

The man is a joker ! Dialogue my foot ! |
I will be voting on the basis of the person seeking elective office and not on the basis of party. The shenanigans which Tinubu has just performed in imposing candidates in the primaries in Lagos has re -enforced this view of mine ! |
Well said Mr President. GEJ is simply acting presidentially. I hope the rabble rousers get the hint or else, |
After all is said and done the true fact of the matter is that Fashola DESERVES a second term. He has done very well while in office as Governor of Lagos state. A lot more other people who may have had the opportunity WILL NOT have done up to 20% of what he and his team have achieved. If, for arguments sake, we agree that the tempo of his progressive pace of achievements slowed down after the second year of him being in office we should not be surprised with all the battles he had to fight to rertain his authority as Governor against people who were suppossed to be supporting him. The man has done well ! Look at how other states in Nigeria have been governed. Look at how backward they have remained after nearly four years and the large allocations of money they have procured from the Federal Government as well as the internally generated revenue they have managed to generate (or in some cases fail to generate). We do not have to go far - take a trip to Oyo state and see the state of in-action that has pervaded that state for the past 4 years ! Fashola - you have my vote without qualification ! |
The comments credited to Atiku, if true, are simply cheap black mail. It also shows hopw shallow he is in his thinking and in his proposed actions. He has been given an opportunity to contest for the presidential ticket of the PDP. He should produce a manifesto and submit himself to the electorate, not crying wolf. His comments are certainly not presidential; neither do they inspire any confidence ! |
Sanusi has been summoned to defend himself tomorrow. Let us tarry till tomorrow to hear his own side of the story and the clarifications which he will surely make. |
Right now, in my humble view, Jonathan is the candidate to beat. I have not heard of or seen any other candidate who offers a realistic hope of effecting a change or changes in the way this country has being governed for the past 50 years. |
I beg wetin they catch "Obasonjo "doing ? |
I beg make una leave Obama alone - he's representing very well ! |
Oyinlola ![]() ![]() ??No big deal if he lost N2 billion ! He had been occupying the State house illegally. |
Sesbol - thanks for the two articles; they are quite informative and revealing. Not that I had any confidence in Atiku anyway. |
Is this what we really need - re-branding ? |
Yes, it is true. A new dawn has come to Osun state ! |
A parcel of land measuring approximately 828 square metres located at Lekki Phase 2 is available for sale for N14 million (net of all taxes and deductions). The land is covered by a Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Lagos State Government. For further details including inspection feel free to contact Tunji on telephone number 08082983778. |
Jonathan is more than capable ! |
He no fit ! |
Na wa o |
Thanks. Hope it works |
I do not have a problem with the deal as long as the Igbo can throw up credible candidates, of whatever political persuasion to contest. |
Why are you asking such a rhetorical question ? Jonathan of course ! The difference is so clear. |
