I'm not saying we should ignore the disease or pretend it away! The same way you can't treat the other infectious diseases with levity, all because you have treatment options... Even cholera and dysentery wreck mortal Havocs now and again to local communities; Malaria is still a threat to most parts of the developing world.

Like I told someone else up there, this virus should and can be contained while our lives go on... The past few months have done far more damage than you can imagine to people's lives; some will never recover financially, emotionally, and psychologically!!!

Even the hardest hit nations have started returning back to their lives, not because they have fully or even properly contained the virus. It's because they have told themselves the bitter truth: We can't hide away from the virus any longer!!! The world cannot continue like this ma!!!... The universe cannot, and will not survive continuous lockdown!!!... This is the hard cold truth!!!... Learning to live and survive with the virus is the current way forward!!!

Some of you here in Nigeria are yet to have a serious reality check! Hmmm... I feel sorry for a lot of you!!! Maybe it's because your lives are largely cushioned or have always been cushioned!!!.. But, that wall of financial security that gives some of us the leeway to keep advocating indoor living will not last! It can never be sustainable!!!... Soon, even the wealthy will join in condemning further lockdown and movement restrictions...

I just told you we are under testing you still think the figures are inflated.
So you would rather believe the people that they have malaria not the doctors? Have you heard that most people are asymptomatic? They have it but don't show symptoms and they can still spread it. So everyone is treated both the ones with symptoms and the one without symptoms because all can still spread it.

It looks we don't have many deaths yet but our death rate is normal according to covid-19 mortality rate it is as from 2%

However most of the people infected now are youthful who are still very healthy with no underlying conditions like diabetes,hypertension, e.t.c. So more people seems to be recovering now.

It could still be we still have the capacity to attend to patients now.

It could still be it hasn't spread to the Elderly more.We haven't done more test to detect more people.

It could still be people that suffered it died elsewhere without government documenting their death as covid -19 death.

When more positive people are detected without medical attention it will result to more deaths because more positives mean our medical care facilities will be overwhelmed.

The government has me fooled truly because the current figures are not the true reflections of what is happening. The figures are truly more than that,they are testing at a snail's pace. So many things comes into play in Africa's case . Testing speed,genetics,climate,youthful population e.t.c I would say Africa is seriously under-testing.

Lockdown did wonders for us. Do you know Brazil and Nigeria reported their first covid-19 cases around thesame day .Their Trump wannabe president played it down now they have 376,669 infections and over 23,000 deaths.

However our mortality rate is still the same with other countries in the world today is 2.9% although some countries are higher.Saudi Arabia had about 0.6% last time I checked.

For Nigeria that is about 3 deaths per 100 infected people and Saudi less than 1death per 100 infected. We shouldn't let it get into our head that we are doing well .

Under testing u say. Do you know that if what you say is true then people would have died in thousands in a country like ours?

Have you considered the probability that this figures are inflated? No. U would rather believe a government who have repeatedly and continuously lied to you on virtually all given occasions. A government that told you that monkey swallowed 70 million Naira.

We are doing fine not because the virus isn't spreading but because it was not potent enough to be declared a pandemic in our country in the first place. Are you going to ignore the fact that people are being treated of malaria in isolation centers, so why can't we stay home and treat ourselves, the government wants to instill fear in u and make u see the virus as a disaster when it's not

That doesn't render the reported cases a scam, there are other isolation centres in Kano. More so, this could have been made up. Kano opened 5 new isolation centres for Covid-19 as at MAY 1st. Ask him to show us the rest:

The five facilities: the Abubakar Imam Urology Hospital, Murtala Muhammed Library Complex, Hospitality and Tourism Institute, Kano State Sports Institute at Karfi village, & the Nigerian Air Force Hospital in Kano.

These, supports the 3 existing ones, at the Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Kwanar Dawaki Hospital, and Sani Abacha Stadium.

So, since Sani Abacha Stadium is empty, show us others.

I live close to an isolation center, and have a cousin who works there, she admitted they have next to no patients in isolation, yet the stats keep increasing every day.

The good news is that they can't keep it up for long, they'll have to yield or be exposed
