TravelRe: Vehicle Offence In UK And Nigeria, LASTMA Example (pics) by boookworm: 12:43pm On Oct 07, 2022
The difference is that in the UK, drivers don't drive and overtake vehicles like psychos.. Nigerians don't like obeying laws.. And we're so impatient which is why we take one way and run red lights. Nigeria drivers here cannot be given soft treatment. Give them an inch, they'll take yards

TravelRe: LASTMA Officials Break 'One Way' Lagos Traffic Law (Photo) by boookworm:
LASTMA are not good people, granted but Lagos state drivers don't think things through before doing it. They knowingly violate traffic laws hoping to get away with it and later cry for sympathy when they are arrested. No I don't have any sympathy for traffic violators. U don't want your car to be auntioned? Don't violate traffic laws. Violating traffic laws is selfish. Because the law wasn't only meant for you, it was meant to protect others too. It's like a person jumping from a 5 storey building and crying for sympathy when they break their legs when they could have simply just taken the elevator

Like I said, just read those reasons. I can't pull it out for you. I need you to find out yourself. 100bn naira you mentioned can't take care of more than 10 universities adequately, if they're truly serious. I wish you had an opportunity to study in ordinary Ghana, you'd weep for Nigerian universities.

Our graduates aren't welcome for their masters in the UK leading universities anymore. What Ghana spends on education is about 9% of their budget. Ours is about 0.8% . The difference in budget of both countries isn't much so you'd not say ghana population is just 45m. No wonder our graduates aren't innovative. In those days, students would be awarded grants for their innovative ideas. I remember UI.
Bro, what happened to taking what's on the table and negotiating something fresh with a new government next year? This outgoing failure of a government has done all they can and Nigeria will forever rue voting them. This is an outgoing government, will they be able to dish out 9% of the next budget to education? Absolutely not. So ASUU are being inconsiderate here. This same ASUU you are defending are also looters. Do you honestly think the 100 billion will be spent entirely on education? Will some of it not be looted? Everyone is making ASUU look like a saint but they are not

I believe you didn't read what their president said was the reason for their strike, and you also didn't read the demand the government claim to have met, don't trust Nigerian politicians they are using payment of backlog to tarnish ASUU imagine but I believe some of us don't just read headlines. ASUU is % right on this one. The survival of the Federal University is dependent on the output of this demand. Let Federal government pay them.
FG has set aside 100 billion for funding universities across the country but ASUU still insist on getting paid for months of unproductivity. FG should not pay any backlogs. ASUU thinks they can just go on strike whenever they like and come back anytime because they will get paid backlogs of salaries, leaving the students to feel the brunt of the strike alone. Now they are going to taste what students feel when they suspend academic activities.

No work no pay

Are you aware those lecturers too are parents who have students staying at home? Go and read about the reasons for going on that strike and you'd see that the majority of them are in favour of students and the academic environment. No Nigerian university ranks among best 1000 globally. Isn't that shameful?

We politicise everything in this country. No be today dem dey strike. The government should answer them asap. The quality of graduates we see today is worrisome. To pass interviews and aptitude tests is hard for them.
No. Majority of them are not in favor of students. These lecturers are selfish. FG has set aside 100 billion for funding of universities across the country but ASUU still insist on getting paid for months of unproductivity. I wonder how that is in the favor of students

I do not think this is the right way to go. They can renegotiate all the conditions.
They have tried renegotiating but ASUU are being too stubborn and wouldn't budge. FG has met most of their demands but they won't compromise and prefer to be on strike and collect salaries they didn't earn. Now FG is trying to tell them that "okro nor dey grow pass the owner"

because dey re asking for proper funding..so students can HV a good learning environment..not seating on d floor in universities
Abeg forget that thing. ASUU are after their own selfish interests. They don't give a damn about the students. If they cared about students that much they wouldn't have kept them at home for 6 months
EducationRe: Register Our Union Now, ASUU’s Rival, CONUA Tells FG by boookworm: 7:54am On Aug 22, 2022
Great move by FG. If ASUU are too inconsiderate to compromise then they should be sabotaged

FamilyRe: Domestic Violence. Who Do We Blame? by boookworm:
Mr Op why do you have to give women a free pass when they use their 'power' by abusing verbally but ask men To refrain from using theirs? Do you even know the psychological effects verbal abuse can have on a man? Physical abuse can heal in a few weeks, verbal abuse can last years to heal. A lot of people have lost confidence due to verbal abuse, some have even committed suicide. It's really irritating that you have to downplay verbal abuse like that.

Please let's be fair in our submission. How about you ask both parties not to abuse at all

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Would You Answer This Interview Question by boookworm: 1:17pm On Apr 13, 2022
A Businessman is always time conscious. If U can't keep to time then you're not serious with your job. If the company sees that you not keeping to Time would make them lose clients and potential clients then they're not going to hire you. Keeping to Time is very important especially in business.

So I go with keeping to Time

This is just the truth. Indians have overpopulated the market. Indian webmasters outnumber that of Nigeria by 6 to 1.

I think people should just stop thinking that venturing into IT means work will come looking for u, well maybe like 7-8 years ago but now the market is saturated. And more and more people are venturing into IT by the minute
