Ah ah. What happened to Kano. They were recording up to 70 - 90 cases some weeks back, now they're recording just 3. So you mean people that were trooping out to get tested weeks ago are no longer interested in being tested all of a sudden and mysterious deaths and sickness just stopped.

And some people still think nothing is fishy

And back to Kano not number not going up, test in Nigeria is not done for everyone but for people with symptoms, so population does not matter, china has over a billion people and had only about 80k case, us has 300mill and has almost 2mil cases, so what does that tells you.

Now let's go to what govt is gaining from covid cases inflation..the economy is in disarray, these so called politician that you think love incrementing the number can't get out of the country to go and enjoy their money, their local business are hurting cause or the economy downturn.... everyone is losing in this way against corona.

Nevertheless, I think the weather also have impact. Kano in recent months have been generally hot with average temperature of 37deg while the virus would not survive beyond 26deg, so the rate of spread would be very slow.

This is why I'm starting to doubt those mysterious deaths that happened some days ago in Kano. All a hoax

If you think Yahaya Bello stands to gain something from standing his ground that there's no case of Covid 19 in Kogi state but think the Federal Government doesn't stand to gain anything from inflating the figures of cases recorded per day then you're a bloody hypocrite and not to be taken seriously on nairaland or anywhere for that matter.

The numbers are going up everyday whether you like it or not. If you wish, do not believe the government. If you wish, do not protect yourself from the virus. Go about your business as though nothing is happening, simply because the government is lying to you and you have all the facts to prove that. Let me repeat myself. There is no cure for corona virus. If a patient that has the virus, presents symptoms similar to malaria, they'll be treated with malaria drugs. If another patient presents symptoms similar to pneumonia, they'll be treated as such. If it is cough, they'll be treated as such etc. This is because there's no cure yet. It doesn't mean those people were suffering from malaria, pneumonia or cough etc. I hope this is clear enough explanation.

Whether you like it or not, over 350k people worldwide who said happy new year back in January, have all died from the disease today while over 5million people are currently showing degrees symptoms.

Nobody is praying for the disease to keep going up. But we have to be proactive and tackle the issue that is currently crippling the world. Being in denial or believing everything you see on social media is naive and blatant show of ignorance.

U know the problem with calling someone ignorant when they don't believe what you believe in? Is that they could easily call you the same. And here I am saying you are the ignorant one here.

And I'm not oblivious to the fact that the virus is real and present in Nigeria so I'm very careful and practice personal hygiene and follow the WHO preventive measures.. All I'm saying is that NCDC are not being truthful with those figures.. Until you start showing me people that tested positive or the number of tests done per state, don't convince me otherwise .

Covid-19 recovery rate is about 80%. So it means, people without underlying health issues, would definitely recover without much attention.

Nigeria is a country with over 200million people, with very very poor record keeping management or even news coverage. If you waiting to hear dt people are dropping dead all over the town so you know that covid-19 is real, then you're a covidiot.

However, testing of barely 60k people out of a possible 200 million people is infinitesimal. It is not enough for you to suggest that Nigeria is doing well in Corona virus and that the people who predicted that there would be tsunami in terms of deaths, are mere doomsday layabouts.

Besides, we have some of the worst hospitals in the world. So if there's a tsunami, it would tell a severe consequences.

We are not out of the woods yet. NCDC are testing only people who show symptoms. That shows our testing capabilities are very very low.

There's nothing like inflated figures. USA are showing figures in the region of 1.7million positive cases, having conducted over 30million tests. Are their figures inflated too? And we are posting almost 10k cases from barely 60k testing. Do the math. We are performing poorly. The numbers are not good based on how many tests we have conducted.

Besides, the incubation period in Africa could be longer than other template regions.

Yet, most Corona virus patients are treated of malaria because they are showing signs of malaria. There is no cure yet. So there is no guarantee for any recovered patients yet.

What you should advice people to do is to ensure they stay safe so as not to endanger the vulnerable such as old people and mostly people with underlying health problems.

Remember, don't be a covidiot. Everything is not about conspiracy theories.
