This is why I don't blame loan apps for thier method of recovering money. Nigerians don't just like to pay back money they owe. The most annoying part is that some will rebuke u by using words like "please stop disturbing me, even Nigeria is owing, do you know how many people are owing me" or worse they will even block your number.

What y'all need to understand is that there are police and SARS Officers here on nairaland reading these threads and they are mostly the ones jumping to the defense of SARS excesses saying that they are after yahoo boys and cyber fraud is on the increase (as if they posses the power to go after yahoo boys) but they do it in a way that doesn't seem blatant But if you read in between lines you'll see that they are calling for reform which they know will definitely be nonexistent. That's why I'm not surprised when I see some stupid and insensitive comments here. Afterall, no one would sit idly by and watch the source of their livelihood being taken

Sorry for the insult. I just don't like when people defend those SARS. They go about accussing people of being fraudsters just to extort money from them. They are now playing judge and executioner. I have had encounters twice with police men who suspected I was into fraud. I am not, so I gave them liberty to search, when they finished searching, they found nothing, apologized and left.

A friend of mine who is a boutique owner was made to part with 70k just because he own a car. They pulled him over, search his phone and when nothing was found, they accused him of being a kidnapper and were threatening to open fire if he didn't make the transfer.. Before you justify the killings of young men in the country by SARS remember it can happen to anybody and your relatives are not left out.
