Hi Nairalanders,

I just got my first car, 2009 Honda Accord Naija used. Engine, transmission, and AC all in perfect condition. Though the shock for the trunk and bonnet need attention as they are weak already. Also, the LCD screen needs to be replaced as the screen is just showing white.

I really love the car and I am so overjoyed. Though still using it to learn driving which I have been doing great at.

I need suggestions on how best to look after my baby. She is just so sweet.

Don’t mind the comments above, most people are pained.

I got my own car few weeks ago and thr first thing i did was to get the washing equipment to avoid scratch due to washing on the car.
I got a car wash liquid and towel for washing
I also got steering cover and car cover to avoid heat damaging the paint

I finally got new sets of sexy car mat

I got extinguisher, C caution and those basic things

I also got a pink coolant for the car to avoid using ordinary water for the radiator
Owning a car is sweet

Hope they were given JOBS and accommodation?

Since i got this vehicle, have been so careful on the products i’ve been using on it.
From the washer to the coolant.

But i know sooner or later, i will have to service it or even need to do some things on it.

I am scared of using KAZEEM because most of them are not trustworthy,
Kazeem will repair something in your car to damage something else so that you can become a regular customer.
Kazeem will remove parts and kazeems will work and not even do a proper finishing
Kazeems will even buy substandard products for the job.

I am good at maintaining things and that has been my fear,

Is there any toyota service centre in nigeria? Hopefully jn abeokuta?

We all love luxury and the reason why most of us do settle for toyota is not because of lack of funds


It is because of MAINTENANCE, I was planning on getting a 2020 hyundai before but when i weighed the maintenance headache

I settled for a highlander all kazeems can handle.

Those luxury cars are dope until small irreplaceable part for spoilt and you can’t repair it because the part if not available.

OGUN STATE HAS BEEN CAUSED WITHOUT ONE, if not for Senator Ibikunle Amosun the road in ogun state would not have been motorable at all

Amosun took the pain and constructed all the main ROADS in the state.

Apart from the main roads all other ROADS are extremely BADDDDDDDDDD

Ywah, why i gave no details bout it

I understand the power behind Social media

I had a fear of what people will say and the fear of me riding an expensive car because i am scared of village people making me their targets.

I was scared of how people would be billing me,

I was scared of robbers attacking me

I was scared of me hitting someone or having an accident with the car.

A lot of FEARS!

Well! We only DIE ONCE!

I overlooked the fear and finally got myself a CAR and it landed on Monday, it is kinda a one in my area and the car is kinda flashy even on the street of ogun state.

I’ve been scared to drive it out because of thr attention i will receive from people and especially the police force.

I would be stopped down and questions would keep coming in.

I merey enter my car daily to enjoy the ac and clean it

We both know that Nigeria suck at maintenance. Discrimination and social status affects what we drive here. Oyibo gave u Android phones. But they still use 3310 and flip phones over there. If u hold a flip phone here, ur friends will call u all sort of names. A well maintained car can be used forever. True. But that's relative.

If there’s one thing you need to experience.. it is the feeling of owning a CAR.
My car landed yesterday and i really couldn’t sleep, i was peeping through the window all through the night to be sure it’s safe.

I am also scared of even driving it out sef because of the fear of village people and what people in my neighbourhood will say.

Even my parents are already giving various advice on how all eyes would be on me now and why i should only drive out only on important occasions (why person buy if no he to dey drive am daily)

Lol, i messaged amdman for a car and it wasn’t available at that moment. I went ahead to pre order it somewhere else.

1)Side mirror not available, fog cover not available , wiper and co.

I spent over 50k to set these things in order before bringing it over from lagosz

I even sent the dealer the money for those things.
