Ishilove: Hardcore Henry is HARDCORE The blood and Gore in that movie is almost at par with JW 3
Ishilove: I have had 'Saving Private Ryan' in my list for about 3 years now but I have not been able watch it. The only time I attempted watching it, all the blood and gore in the first 10 minutes made me blanch and quickly close the movie.
I don't have the stomach for excessively graphic movies.
obinna58: The're lots of reasons which made me came into such conclusion 1. The're thousands of Gods and religions 2. The hipocrisy of religious people 2. Bible confusion, parables, justified killings, Impossibilities and lies 4. Spirituality scam 5. Religious enmity, colonization and war 6. Unverifiable claims from different religion 7. Religion limiting human action and development 8. Failed miracles and prophecies 9. Too much lies from religious leaders
The're many more
Well said.
Let me add one more.
10. The fact that one can live a better life without religion
JackBizzle: Atheist translation of pastors' requests
1) "Pay your tithes and your rewards shall be bountiful" Atheist translation; "transfer your hard earned salary to fund your pastor's private jet and life of luxury"
2) "I cast the demon out of you!! Be healed in Jesus name" Atheist translation; bros Akpos, act well ooo! Time don reach make you twist and turn as if demon dey comot your body"
Horus: Since the slave-master is an enemy of the slave, if the slave prays to the same God as the master, he is praying to the God that enabled the slavemaster to enslave him. Therefore, that God is the enemy of the slave or captive just as the slave-master is.
aadoiza: Wallahi, I have never seen that movie. But seriously, evolution is magicK, if you understand my spelling of the word 'magic' with K. I guess only the initiates would grasp it .
budaatum: First, I'm reading what is 'written' that Jesus said, and not "what Jesus clearly said", as you claim, since I'm certain you'd agree Jesus did not speak English and what I now read was written long after he might have said whatever he said. Second, what's wrong with using my mind to turn "bible upside down"? Is that not me using my God given senses?
Jesus never said - or shall I say, no where is it written that Jesus said you must just blindly eat grass and if you did eat grass then I suggest you turn your Bible upside down because you must have been reading it the wrong way up.
Stop making a fool of yourself. This is not about eating grass now. First, we are addressing the issue of following the shepherd blindly.
The issue here is that Jesus supported blind faith. Believing without seeing.
Now, it is from there we get to the eating grass. Many christians then put their blind faith to pastors whom like Jesus, are messengers of God. Now, if the pastors tell them to eat grass, they will blindly follow like sheep.
And guess what? I never ate grass. Because I always questioned my faith.
budaatum: No, the lesson of "Doubting Thomas" was not about believing without seeing. It is your own understanding that you must believe without seeing, and it seems like you transferred your believing without seeing to some "holy man" who made you eat grass and do those other things you said you did when you were a Christian.
If you think of it, Jesus would not have become flesh so that you may see what you believe in to begin with; you could have just gone on believing in the Unseen God. And Jesus would not have gone about healing the blind if he did not want them to use their eyes to see.
Below are alternative lessons learned from Doubting Thomas:
I bet you Jesus was not your shepherd and you aren't Thomas. If you'd actually read the book and Jesus were your shepherd, you'd love even your enemies instead of discriminating, and you definitely would understand that Jesus being your shepherd may actually make you a bold lion.
Wasnt the lesson of doubting Thomas about believing without seeing? Is that not promoting ignorance in the name of faith? Sheepishly believing what te holy man tells you without evidence.
