I have had to tell guys that I am married...lol.

For me, when I was pregnant, my fingers were bigger and the rings couldn't fit my wedding finger. Instead of keeping it, I wore it on my little finger and that's how it fell off.

I haven't gotten round to getting a new one.

There was a time I used to ask them their status just to speed things up... but after some experiences, I noticed they simply don't like being asked.

- The one who is married and not wearing her bands, will feel disappointed and think she doesn't look as young and single as she thought.
- The one who is not married, will still feel disappointed and think she looks too old which is why you assumed she's married.

I don't bother asking no more, women can be funny...

On first meeting, I don't think there's any other way you can tell for sure that a woman is married if she's not wearing her wedding bands.

Although most times, I do make use of her size, her carriage, the way she speaks, and her overall aura to guess it on my own but still, this is never 100% accurate.
I would assume but still won't ask until they tell me themselves.

There is this aura and vibe about married women, you will most likely know. Listen to thier conversation, you can tell. They are often quick to tell they are married.

Don't get it twisted though, if you are dangote son. Don't be surprised if a married woman will take off her ring just to seem available.

Generally just look towards younger women and ask if they married. No be sin. Infact, once I understand a girl has a boyfriend. I don't even bother, I move to the next one. The issue for the girls most time is that they have boyfriends but still entertaining other men, gauging the better offer.

To be sincere with you, I dont think its really really a bad thing. Rather than watch if she is wearing a ring, watch her actions.

Again, let's even think deep and back. At what point did a ring become an evidence of being married. Was this not even a white mans idea that we have incorporated into what the ideal should be. How did our forefathers and fore mothers identify as being married. Did adam give eve a wedding ring ?

It seems that there are churches who do not wear rings....

Some lost theirs after the first year.

Some became fat so the ring no longer fits.

Some are not just comfortable with it.


Some simply forgot to wear it on the said day you met them.
