We need to start talking about how people now come into the UK and the care homes don't give them the working hours agreed on on their COS. I have a friend who's been in uk for over one month and hasn't gotten a single minute of working hour in his care home, they keep telling him to hold on.

He got his job through an agent tho, as at now I'm starting to feel some of these care homes already have enough workers but they just sell slots through an agent to you at a very high price to make their money and not working for the agreed hours on your COS will affect you when you're about to renew your visa or apply for ILR cause the home office will see clearly that you've not been paying your tax regularly.

Yes i'd seen this coming and more yet to come when due to renew visa or ILR . This is the result of being too desperate by Nigerians . A job that is free and meant for high school leaver was desperately bought by the rich highly educated and well doing Nigerians . They should enjoy the consequences . Ire ooo .

This should be under Creative worker visa ( Temporary) , it's has no exemption of Nationals . Maybe something else caused the delay .

Good morning everyone
Please I have a question ,

I got cos from a Temporary Worker in July, applied for visa at TLS VI in September 2022, I also did my biometric same day.

I was called for an interview in November 2022.
My problem now is that I'm yet to receive my visa since September till now .
UK embassy keeps saying that the application is awaiting decision .
And the COS will expire this April.

Has anyone experienced this before
What would likely happen to my application now
Please I need an urgent response

There are some agencies that are licensed sponsors who recruits people but most especially for Domiciliary care,those type of agents may not be doing active recruitment like that anymore. However ,real legit agents are like middlemen who work hand in hand with care homes they charge you money fast track your application and the care homes will schedule and interview and hire you asap. Those type are still working , they’re just middlemen that work closely with the care home managers and maybe HRs, so basically the care homes are recruiting you directly.

I actually don't know how you got this temporary job in the UK or Channel Island , what role were you given . There is exemption to this type of visa nationals , that might be the problem . Give more details maybe you could get your answers .

Buy Toyota 2004 or better still buy corola 2005 , Toyota has a second hand value and quick to sell whenever you need your money back ,moreso it's cheap to maintain . best of luck

You made me google Guernsey. Once you have work permit which is tier 2 visa , I believe you should be able to move anywhere in the Uk which are Northern Ireland, Scotland, wales and England. Anyone who have more information should please elaborate more. I wish you all the best

Check glassdoor for interview review. Be ready for competencies questions like Tell me about? and ensure you put you answer in STAR(Situation, Task, Action and Result.) format. I personally like to prepare for Reflection answer(STARR) to because that is mostly the next question like what would you have done better? Put your request in google like "Barclays interview for customers service role" All the best

Please I need a good advice on this issue from matured minds.

A friend of mine called me yesterday and was seriously crying that she wants her daughter that just got married to come back.

REASON:
Last year, her daughter of 21 years got married. From the look of things, the marriage was contracted on falsehood.
The man( daughter's hubby) was introduced to the girl by another woman. The young man and his mother presented themselves as very good people. The young man claimed to have money and working in Abuja as "interior decorator" . He made the girl believed that he has money where's he was borrowing to do the the marriage rites.
After the first stage of the traditional rites, he lied to the girl that bank seized his money because someone from abroad sent more than the approved amount (ie. millions) into his account. The girl had to use the little money she received as salary to sort out certain things.

To cut the long story short, marriage was scheduled, on the eve of the wedding (the bridal shower night) , the young man beat the girl blue and black to the embarrassment of everyone present including his own friends, that was how the bridal shower ended with the poor girl crying all throughout the night. This is just because of flimsy excuse, to make matters worst, the girl was some weeks old pregnant which he's aware of.
To worsen the situation, after marriage, the man left the lady in the village with the parents, two days after marriage he travelled for a job, while the girl is left alone in the village without any pocket money and without any job since she's stopped the job she was doing before marriage. She's just Living at the mercy of the guy's parents with the mother treating her like trash.

Congratulations!!!!

I’m still waiting for my Temporary work visa, I did biometric since September 26th 2022.
Did interview on the 23rd of November.
Till today, am still waiting . Is getting to 4 months now. What should I do? My resumption date was October.
