Dear V.O, great job deserving of kudos here.

My mistakenly booked appointment before filling the DS 160 form. thus, the codes ( or confirmation thingy) differ.
I seek your sound counsel on way forward.
though, we had sent a mail to lagos NIV @state.gov and all the email addresses for issues regarding non immigrant visa. we are yet to hear from them.

Im an avid reader of the US thread and honestly, dont want to go over it backwards.
Pls help.
Thank you in advance

@ thesoj good to see your comments hereon. that reminds me- @hayqinx the issue you privately raised was resolved by soj in Season 8 i guess grin
Honestly, I learnt from it a lot. the difference between PGD and that other one.

@house i sincerely and deliberately type this way so as to gently push some new Nairalanders to read posts from Part 8 at least, trust me you would be a guru.
I actually would advice reading from part 8. i have a folder on my PC where I stored all the info I would need. It is very likely that the gurus would help you out if you have shown that you have read up some previous posts and just need a second eye to proof read.

@domexx007, i contacted a friend in Canada who did that for me.

@ the friend who asked for the meaning of gcms file, try google no offence meant, it is a request usually made by persons whose study leave application had been refused just to know what the mind of the V.O was at the time of refusal.

@notarizing doc, if ure in Lagos, find your way to Ikeja High Court, just after LASUTH; If ure on the mainland, there are so many notaries public close to the High Court in Igbosere.

@louisilva, cant open ur PM dont know why oooo.
@hayqinx, na thesoj go answer that q oooo; i am but a learner too

Rolandy 's case is different, he can actually work full time once he has his sin number, he's to resume in january, so he's not breaking any rules.

The other person, is to resume already and wants to defer/take a break to work and make money.

I know someone that got in before resumption date and worked fulltime before school resumed in sept, and off course it was legal.

@the soj, @tnuola @sholay11/midnight paris ,@team12, This question is posed on behalf of my best friend- She wants to apply NOW for a Fall 2016 admission. is that right?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by bosypumpin: 2:07pm On Aug 31, 2015
So, this morning, i got a maill from CIC, application refused.

I immediately sent a mail to my school UofM & UBC (though i prefer Uof M) requesting that my admission be deferred till next Fall.

Reasons for Denial:
_ Travel history
_ Purpose of visit

Lots of Love to all the very friendly though unknown faces, I appreciate you guys
especially Team 12 & Midnightparis aka Sholly 2011, you are both my forerunners, I WILL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR & WE SHALL CHOP YOUR GRADUATION chops together.

I"m running back to my legal practice, be right back next year.

Hi everyone, nice work going on here and Ive learnt sooo much.

I just saw my IELTS result of the test written on August 1st, now and i had a
7.0 viz Listening=7.5 Reading= 7.0 Writing= 7.0 Speaking= 6.5

My question goes thus: as per WES should I evaluate my first degree and leave out the secondary school aspect?(getting a transcript is not a problem from my school at all.)

If i include Secondary school leaving certificate, am i buying a WAEC scratch card and giving details?
If WAEC would delay me, kindly advise whether to strike it out or ?

My NOC IS 4112, I'M A lawyer

Shyee, and berexio1. i PMed u,since yesterday.
Thank you my gurus, Jesus Dway et al

thank you bro...was thinking of getting a partnership papers signed with a company I work with here. Will that work or do I have to register my company by all means? Advice really needed. Thank you

my two cents, try register your own business. it is not so hard to do and you can do it yourself.
From experience, "if you sign papers' with a company, are they Corporate Affairs Commission papers?
meanwhile, if you do that, you may e on a long thing, as post incoporation is done in Abuja.

PS: I'm not advertising o. just borrowing u ideas. cos this is part of the things I do as a legal practitioner

hi house, this is my first comment since joining the thread. i am an avid reader and a silent observer. when i want to unwind, i just log on to NL and get informed the more.

I got admitted to U of M and UBC for LL.M with full funding, Research based.
Admission March 30th
I have a baby and do not intend leaving her behind.
we did online and May 28th, we were denied.
Insufficient funds; my daughter (naturally), purpose of visit

Of course, I re fired and June 12th, I did biometrics,
online application again.
i'm expectant oooooo. cos my research supervisor sits on the Chair of the school of Graduates Studies and the exchange between us ehn, as been awesome.(im settling for U of M) cos it is 1 yr while UBC is two years.

If i don't chop TRV, na im be say God no want am. cos my sponsor's account opening balance na 42m, closing 18m, i run a partnership law ofice in Lagos Metropolis with some senior friends, my own account closing balance is 2.2m the funding from sch, ( i had three of them) is $28k and there are still some to be grabbed when there.

Confession time, the reasons for typing now is to answer the questions of those seeking for research supervisors.

My humble opinion is this, i checked my faculty, went through their top ogas, wrote down the courses that appealed to me, then i sent mails to them.
I didnt have a closed mind as per the specific area, i made my choices flexible.

PS; maybe going through the faculty would help widen your choice of course as well as supervisors.
All the best to us all.

We will all share our testimonies, Canada good ooooo grin
