[quote author=VEIL1234 post=53332506]Hello people,

@ VEIL, I thought the children's applications were subsumed under yours right?
If your answer is in the affirmative, then no need for separate linking of application except if I misconstrue your question.

Happy new year everyone, been a while.
@ frost baby, welcome o.
You might need to be at University Centre on Monday like 8am so you can get your SIN if you haven't gotten it yet. I've got some friends with similar experience at POE and still unresolved till now.

Cheers

I just went through the thread and I am on the lookout for emma4eva, I hope the moniker is right? You were asked to do another medical test right?

I am passionate about the outcome of the advice given you and if it is not too much you could click on my moniker to check my experience as regards a request for a fresh medicals when the previous one wasn't yet expired. It might just help. I went to Consultant Practice for a fresh one, thanks to Hayqinxfb's advice .

How does one contact the MP in my province cos I think I am more than vexed.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by bosypumpin: 2:12pm On Nov 13, 2016
@ justwise baba, folaroyal and@ gymme thanks for the contribution. Let me chip this in: I have a beautiful friend who I have forged an healthy alliance with here in Winnipeg - moniker? Team12.
This lady applied for SOWP and got it before leaving Nigeria. So, that speculation about NOC is not a stringent rule ( except if I don't get a clear explanation as delineated before).

Additionally, a naija lady who live in the same address as mine here in " Winterpeg" grin brought her hubby via SOWP and she is a Red River College student. Right now the man has worked over 600 hours, gotten LMIA ( Labour Market blablabl needed for PR) and he will be the principal applicant for PR cos the lady just gave birth, took leave of absence etc etc.

In my quest for a better way to beat cic @ their incessant delay of application, I further met a wonderful family wherein the husband came via visiting visa and they ' regularised' on Canadian soil to SOWP from visiting.

@ iyalode I think you have been given a sound advice by our people, try to make a decision that you would have made if you were without someone to talk to and faced with the choice of SOWP or visiting.
Whichever application is more time consuming may be discarded for the shorter one so you have elasticity of time.
I wish you were in Winnipeg. The province favors our kind of applications.

# that's why I said different strokes for different applications#.

Hi everyone,

@ iyalode, eyin ancestors, I hail o.
SOWP is taking eternity now o. I almost regret this SOWP application. wish I did visiting visa, my daughter and husby have a pending application since May 19th.

I have sent mails to IRCC, they've sent a mail to Lagos office and we are still waiting. I have handed it over to God cos thats who I believe my game changer is.
# different applications with different stories though#

All the best maam

@guzan & @etife, kindly take your SOA discussion to a private chat cos we don't get the logic behind your chats on the open forum as I am 55% sure that if we begin to probe you, you may not be able to give us the desired answers.

Plus, a V.O reading this already thinks of " doctoring of accounts" but I want to assume that you guys are not venturing into that kinda terrain? Good.

#A word, they say, is enough for the wise#

@boladan, Accra ke? Noooo. Heed@ Gymme"s advise.
Alternatively, if your better half or you are already in Canny, there is a link for " In Canada Specific Enquiry". Response to inquiry takes maximum 72 hours. Trust me, I have been on their case for a sowp application dated May 19, 2016
.
It will end in praise as I hope this helps.

@ mikkymiko while the post you shared is not a lie, what can our people do nah?
That was the medium I used too and it worked out for me.
Bought dollar with my hard earned naira.
There are real people ready to help.
Let me give an instance. When i arrived winnipeg CAD was N275 to a dollar. Someone advised I chill that he was sending some money home to Naija at d end of d month whi h was just like 10 days away then. He was a very respectable person in the community that I found myself. Kriss77 advised me not to trust anykne and deal immediately. I didnt heed him.
By the expiration of the 10th day it was 305 already. The man changed his ringing tone andbsaid he got 310 can i deal @ 305. I was so disappointed that I couldnt eat or go to sch.
I dealt at 305 and i am not talking about small money here.

My take : whatever works for you in maintaining ur status , do it ( i wanted to pay my tuition as I couldnt pay from Naija and I bought at whatever rate available before cic will wonder wetin dey happen). He who knows it feels it o

Regards everyone

Another reason why people rarely comment.

I posted something on her transfering some amount to your account with an explanation of what it is for. Why transfer from her personal to salary?
You better start cajoling the sponsor before you encounter stories that touch!

Hi everyone
@ michv, how na nna?
Thank God someone already responded to your subtle accusations of some of us not coming back to comment here. Since you like typing in Igbo, i will do mine in my language " waa wa alright" when readings and researches hammer you front right and centre like me and if your opinion for class no " garm" there flies away your 50% class participation especially when there are just 4 of us.

I have made friends with my graduate students colleagues guess what? The indian guy in my class said he declared zero balance, showed me his statement of account that he used in applying and i almost fainted.
The guy even came to Manitoba with less than 500CAD.

I am just using one kain eye to watch CIC as they are misbehaving. Most schools also missed Nigerians though they might not admit it.

This sponsorship issue, my 2 cents, if you want to convince the V.O a bit, why not let ur sponsor make a deposit into your account with the payment remark addressing the purpose? Instead of showing how rich your sponsor his by his opening and closing balance.

I crouch to be corrected.

I wish you all the best and I am enjoying Canada o. Winnipeg is cool and the people are friendly. It was worth the wahala.

@ thesoj baba, the gurus with firsthand experience have spoken. How na? We gast relate on you-know-where kiss

@yemdogg my learned colleague, thank God u were not delayed in december, the earlier the better shey?

@ Germany, i love that country and i can testify that if nor be my mumu love for canny, germany it is.

Cheers peeps

Hi everyone
Greetings from U of Manitoba.
Winnipeg.

Someone asked a question that I would like to respond to. Nigerian applicants were really affected this year.
My class was suppossed to be 15 graduate students in all. I am the only dark skinned lady at the faculty of law as a whole and there are just 4 graduate student- myself, an indian, 2 canadians.

Manitoba is beautiful and deserving of repackaging if delayed.
Cheers to every applicant and to the hopefuls.
