I got my first job at 14years and 8months which was 2 weeks after my waec. I was employed to teach mathematics and basic tech from js1 to js3. This was where I fell in love with teaching. Consequently, my salary was increased twice in less than a year due to the passion and how seamless students bonded with me. My salary was increased for the third time when I wanted to resign after I gained admission to study engineering but I had to leave. Any time I arrange my house and see the gift's I received during open days and when I was leaving the school, I just smile and hope those kids are doing well now. I still hear from some of them even after so many years. Another great experience was my service year, even though I studied engineering, I knew I'll be posted to a school, I anxiously awaited the next set of lucky students. Turned out I was even more lucky to have taught them. A send forth was organised because of me while leaving and was bombarded with gifts and tears from students and teachers even though it was a public school. I still receive calls from them every week. Teaching is a very noble profession, but the take home is suicidal. Even with my engineering background,i wouldn't mind a teaching career with good pay. |

Live it but don't leave it. It's not a bad job. |
omonnakoda:It's very obvious you're going through some mental issues too. Get a doc before it's too late. |
omonnakoda:Stop lazing around, when you have time, go through the piece properly and find where she said her self she is an introvert. If you can't take time to read through that little piece properly, please don't come to my mention and never say I am saying nonsense again. |
One of the many travails of a deep rooted introvert. |
From experience, I'll advice you don't apply for both roles. GMT and TAP Who got a success mail after taking the culture fit assessment

If more of this is to come across this country, the presidency would sit up instead of threatening us with fuel price increase. By the way, it's very unfortunate that buhari turned out to be this unfortunate and useless. Abi is it not the same FeBuhari and Sai Baba, the same one we all jubilated for when Kano state election result was announced in 2015?? The same I belong to nobody and I belong to everybody. What a sad turn of event. Low-key some of us, younger generation wanted to see how a tight fisted military rule looked like in Buhari, maybe that would solve our unending problems after hearing tales of "KAI " and how corrupt politicians were bundled back to Nigeria in 1973. Turned out Sai baba is even more docile and jejune than GEJ, making the clueless one look like an hero. |

I hope the imam spoke some sense into Buhari's right ear only... He would be wasting his time speaking to the left. |

The lion of Ubima sure knows when to fight and when to sheath his sword. When the old war chest does fight, he's certain to come victorious. |
GideonG:Hello, Glad you created this thread. Perhaps we can create a WhatsApp group. The 2020/2021 post graduate admission is still in progress, I think they wrote the qualifying exam about a month ago. So 21/22 form might not be out anytime soon. I believe this thread would go a long way in helping others. I had my B.eng in Unilorin so I might be able to answer some questions about the citadel of learning. Feel free to ask questions everyone. |

BG sweet talked his hand into people's purse, did same thing into making them forget about the money. |
like Father Mbaka like Shiekh Gumi |
I would pick Abeokuta without thinking twice. . why would I leave a good and comfortable life in abeokuta to a life in Abuja where you struggle to meet the high standards already set there. . Salary increment is even certain in both cases since it's a federal job. . Give me a job of even 60k with increment in view, I'll leave Lagos and never return. . The abandoned house where I stay in VI in weekdays is full of graduates who survive on carton and mosquito nets from Monday to Friday. |
Just when you think you're facing severe difficulties, you hear or read other people's stories and you admit you're still quite fortunate. |
