If you are blowing bridges, what does it mean? It means you are retreating and defending.

You have to understand this war. Is purely strategic. Russia is just toiling with Kiev to force Zelensky into talks of compromise because once Kiev is gone, he has lost his presidency for sure. Hence you see him now agreeing to some of the terms demanded by Russia while the talk is still ongoing.
