the open drain I was talking about is the gutter that passes in front of your compound......similar cases are found all over Kubwa axis...as a result we separate the bathroom and kitchen waste from that of the WC...it minimizes the volume of water entering the pit....now instead of channeling your overflow(effluence) pipe to the soak away you just channel it to the gutter....look critically in kubwa village axis, phase 3 and 4....you will get the technology......

Good morning OP ...Emeka is my name...Architect y profession...I stay in Abuja....and work in Area 3....we can meet if you want....
........the conventional method of handling that soak away here in Abuja is by dewatering,....then place columns inside with beams at intervals depending on the depth...build to normal height....and then place an exit pipe opposite where the sewage comes from....let me assure you that no mater how you de-water your pit it will always be filled with water all year round....don't forget to use water seal in your concrete work


the logic is this....when the sewage comes in from one side...the solid component settles at the base...meanwhile the tank will remain full with foul water which overflows into an open drain from the opposite side......the overflow pipe helps to see that the pit does not overfill the given level...more so the water coming out from th eother side mus have undergone decomposition and will not be harmful to the environment....

Yissi....My humble advise is that.....when next you want to build....look for an Architect.....A very cheap Architect will not give you what you want....more so.....always ask to see some of their works with their names on it......don't look at elevations cos you'll get deceived......and let your Architect have an established office and people should be able to commend his works within his environment.......even if its only in the design stage you involve the Architect....it will save you much more.....Every good Architect wants his design to be taken anywhere without fear of criticism....my Humble advise.....Thanks,.....

one thing about the catholic church is that they have their own way if managing issues.....I'm a catholic....and the clients that want to see Mbaka are too numerous....people are willing to donate to his ministry......he is s catholic priest and is not power thirsty as to go open his own church...he takes order from bishop.....and is subject to punishment when the need arises......his ministry makes much money....and the money is being channelled to his businesses which is a smart way of sustaining his NGO without seeking funds or beg for money.....the NGO trains many in school...help the poorest of poor...every Christmas he gives widows enough food(half bag of 50 kg rice each)...The ministry and NGO all belong to the church.....if Mbaka die today The ministry will continue....I'm not saying what I heard I'm saying what I Know....

My brother.....pls always consult design professionals in your designs ....the designer who is probably not an Architect wants the money and doesn't care about the implication of his drawing...he should do consultations and be sure the building can be carried by the land and the Architectural drawing must come along with structural drawings.......w are not talking of one store building here.....the drawing is full of doors even at unnecessary locations.....rooms are small and poorly ventilated....I don't see a clear definition of what he want to achieve as shown on the ground and first floor of the right hand side......kitchen size is too small for the size of family you are planning for...especially as there is no store......when there is fire outbreak only those on the ground floor will survive.....I reserve further comments....what I'm saying is that:

"........BUILDINGS LIKE THIS NEED PROFESSIONAL TOUCH AT TH DESIGN STAGE ....ELSE....."

They have the loans to give but they will frustrate you.....I once went to CBN in Abuja here during my youth service for just 500k loan....they said the loans can be given through my bank.....and the banks I operate with all shyed away saying the have not started or they only give agric loans....it seems they wouldn't assist since its not their direct business...its easier with micro finance banks.

My humble suggestion is that you have to do a confirmatory test on the man who claims to be your uncle.......
1. First he should know so much about your father to the point that he should know much about your mother....he should be able to tell you exact stories of incidents that happened in the past around your father that are the same with your mother's version....
2. your mother should confirm you dad has a brother with such name....and should be able to recognize his face...Blood is thicker than water...
3. let him tell you his name and other details about himself with which you can trace his true origin....details like National ID card number....driving license number....and even BVN......if he is a scammer he will run away but if he is your uncle he will not be afraid of you...
4. To prove he is your uncle let him send you your dad's number and tell you where he is....I mean his address.....You may not need to inform Your dad that you're coming...just travel there and see if you will find such person.... If its scam they will prepare for you visit and victimize you....so you go to your dad unannounced until see his face as similar as the ones s on the pictures......Faces doesn't change even after 100 years.If he claims you dad is not alive he can direct you to the village head...he mush have access to information about your family.
5. if you are eventually given the number....let your mum confirm his voice....she will always remember her ex-husband's voice.
6. If after all these you perceive something fishy.......find your way to UNIPORT academic division and begin your search...they will have access to every graduate's address including permanent home address.

If you build now that cement is cheap you can finish it with 2 million....red stones are cheaper than the grinites.since its village all you need is to get the plan and find a good mason...keep all blocks about 3000 pieces and discuss the price of construction to roof level with the mason....allow him bring his boys....keep a good relative to see that your materials are not stolen....all these are on the assumption that the soil is stable and may not need reinforcement except at lintel

I schooled in MAUTECH Yola and then I paid #15,900.....presently it s not more than 19,000....and hostel about 8000...you only photocopy lecture notes....no textbooks are compoulsry....and cost of living there is relatively low......

SPIDDER.....you didnt tell us the cost of stones purchased in the process and the volume..
