Why not? "For with God, all things are possible" Mark 19:26
Christianity EtcRe: Don Moen, Donnie Mcclurkin, Frank Edwards Arrive Lagos For "The Experience" by brainiac007: 11:32am On Dec 04, 2015
Acidosis:
If the essence is to attract sinners, why didn't they invite Davido?
Because sinners have gotten their fill of Davido and their curiosity or desire for something new and different would attract them to concerts like the experience.

I'm speaking from personal experience! This was how I saw the light and entered into the fold of Christianity. Forever thankful to God for using a Gospel music experience to deliver me from a sinful life.
Christianity EtcRe: Don Moen, Donnie Mcclurkin, Frank Edwards Arrive Lagos For "The Experience" by brainiac007: 11:24am On Dec 04, 2015
Acidosis:
Just a gathering of collective sinners who go to concert with their sex partners to "worship" God.

If you really want to worship God, you won't leave your home for TBS to listen to Rastafarians and commercial street buddies like Frank.

Don Moen is the ONLY man I respect and recognize as a Gospel Artist among the fellas. He is a true worshipper but I condemn his association with Fake Gospel artist we raise in this part of the world.

Nigerian Gospel artistes and patronizers should stop embarrassing the face of Christianity. All thanks to Nathaniel Bassey, Panam Percy Paul, Solomon Lange* and a few others who still uphold the symbols of TRUE Worship in their musical videos.

Who still call Frank Edward or Joe Praiz gospel artists? Lol. 'Experience' organisers should have done a good balance by inviting M.I, Wizkid & Terry G.

Christ-Embassy raised gospel artists like Frank and others have finally destroyed the gospel musical business in Nigeria. All thanks to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome whose wife has just filed a divorce on allegations of corruption and worldliness grin

Heaven knows I won't attend such a gathering. I'd rather visit a club house or olosho quarters than dine with 'this.'

BTW, I hope they invited some comedians like AY and Alibaba as mostly done by Nigerian Pragmatic New Generation Crowd Gathering god of Men??
cheesy ;S
ROMANS 14:4-11
"Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. But he will stand, for God is able to make him stand.
One indeed esteems a day above another day; and another esteems everyday alike. Let each one be fully assured in his mind.
He who regards the day regards it to the Lord; and He not regarding the day, does not regard it to the Lord. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, does not eat to the Lord, and gives thanks.
For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
For both if we live, we live to th Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, both if we live, and if we die, we are the Lord's.
For this Christ both died and rose and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
But why do you judge your brother? For all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ
For it is written, 'as I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.'"

Hmm...must we always make tribalistic statements every time. Is this how much hate thrives among us?
Please, let's all try to tolerate one another. This is a great nation. Let's not ruin it with our attitude towards each other.

Remi I am sorry about your experience, sadly this is the story of many Nigerian women because of a variety of factors :
Note I am not judging you, just helping you understand so you can avoid the same mistake next time

1. There is a difference between a maid and a nanny. Anybody can cook and clean but it takes special training and patience to care for a child, we need to start understanding that.

2. Avoid cheap labour: I insist we need to get professionals instead of this " let me pay school fees " arrangements

3. Poor training of these helps: even the ones who come from agents are not trained mostly you are left to start training them from scratch and it can get veru frustrating.

I am sorry you went through this bad experience but let me ask you and other women with this problem how much you are willing to pay for a properly trained, security checked Nanny or Maid. I am asking not as Judgement oh I am working on something ni
Well, its not as if we don't want professional nannies but some of us just cannot afford their fee. Some charge as much as N35,000 per month. How much is my salary?

For me, I do most of the house chore, laundry and cook which I'm ok with. All I want her to do is when she gets back from school is to watch the kids when I'm not home and run little errands within the neighborhood.

Is he Lagos state governor?...
is it his duty to take care of the poor?
So it is a crime to be rich now

Some people at the helm of affairs are being paid to take care of the poor but *****************
That's not the point. Whether you're in govt or private sector; individuals who have been blessed ought to be a blessing. Ask Bill Gates or Warren Buffet who have given so much and not diminished but rather appreciated in their net-worth.

What is the purpose of wealth if it is not to contribute to the well-being of the less privileged? We as a people should be people-centred and not self-centred. It is when we leave our little bubble and focus on the needs of others that we find true fulfillment.

Did you get your new job before leaving the banking industry? Or after leaving.
Did you get promoted in that 5 years you were in marketing?
I got a new job after I left even though I would not advice that but I was just fed up. I guess I was just fortunate. And Yes, I was promoted within those 5 years.
CareerRe: For Bankers, Ex Bankers And Bankers To Be by brainiac007: 1:48pm On Oct 12, 2015
I'm an ex-banker. I resigned exactly a year ago after 5 years and I'm so so glad I did.

Working as a marketer at the bank was the most depressing, demeaning and frustrating experience I've ever had.

Today, I look back and think, "Why didn't I leave sooner?". Now I have peace of mind and in a job I absolutely enjoy when compared to the bank job and family life has never been better.

Once I was blind, now I can see!

Please stop confusing Marketing with Sales.
They are very different!

Most of the jobs touted as Marketing jobs in Nigeria are sales jobs. Marketing is much more than going to beg someone to buy something from you. It is actually the science of knowing customer needs, developing products that the markets will respond to and churning out strategy for positioning products and services in the minds of consumers. That is my own simple explanation of Marketing. You can google for more comprehensive definitions.
Comon...cut. The guy some slack. We all know what he means and besides, 'marketing' is what the job is popularly called whether sales or not.

An intelligent salesperson is also involved in all those fancy activities you mentioned above, otherwise, how else is he to succeed in his pursuits?Successful Selling is not a blind activity. It involves planning and careful strategy

Thanks but I will rather be a vulcaniser than a marketer.

I see marketing jobs as transitional jobs. A means to an end. If you can do marketing for a company for a couple of years and you have learnt a thing or two, move over to be your own boss. Be a marketer for an FMCG company. Be a dealer, a distributor, an agent. If you can sell for another man's company, You can by all means sell for yourself. That's job security.
I totally agree with you!
