Turkish airlines, Ethiopian airlines, Egypt Air, Royal air maroc, Kenya airways, Rwandair; I avoided Turkey cos I felt it is Europe and had to pay more. Please, what if any of these Arilines transit through any of the countries requiring a schengen visa? Longjonjoe: The agent or whoever told you to pay transit visa just got free money. I am a travel agent. Traveling with any European airline to the UK eg Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Alitalia will require you to present a any schengen transit visa you have on your transit stop with the airline if not you will be sent back. You dont pay 40k to an agent for transit visa. You apply for it(schengen visa) at the embassy of the airline hub eg applying for a france transit visa and at the french embassy or at VAC because you are using Air france to travel to the UK. Same paper work but takes a short time to process. Please be careful out there. BA does not require a transit visa because it is a direct flight. Turkish airlines, Ethiopian airlines, Egypt Air, Royal air maroc, Kenya airways, Rwandair. All these airlines do not require any transit visa when transiting through their country to the UK. I hope with this, I have stopped someone somewhere from making a mistake |

That's a good suggestion. Aboki12: Better still, all of us can tweet and include the #IncludeVirtual so that it'll go viral. |

Guys, I tweeted at PTDF to provide the option for virtual interviews. Guys, go tweet at them or retweet if you want it too. Fuel/flight cost is expensive. Companies globally have adopted virtual interviews, PTDF has enough funds to do it too. No endangering of applicants lives on our dangerous roads. (If you search PTDF on twitter on latest tweets, my tweet will pop up). |

I was sent the interview mail 11 times, a friend got it 10 times. Was there a glitch in the network or did the computer operator think the emails were sent to different applicants while all the while sending to the same folks? |

Anfieldboss: I had the same issue of NIN Verification not successful showing on my page, but I was shortlisted. I think they profile candidates based on some criteria, score them and invite probably the top 40 candidates from a state for a interview, maybe other candidates had higher scores than you from your state. Thanks a lot. |

For those not invited, I don't know if you have the same experience as I do. I just checked and discovered that under verification, I noticed that 'NIN verification was not successful'. I have a feeling that this may have been the problem that led to the invite not coming in. Anyone with a similar experience? |

HausaIgboYoruba: on the page where u choose courses and universities choice, look at the top right hand corner, click on edit and u will be able to choose ur preferred location You can only do that if you've been sent the mail. Those yet to get the mail don't have that 'edit' luxury yet. |

Romance › Re: What Advice Can You Give to Somebody About To Get Married? by BRAINNY(m): 11:11pm On May 03, 2022 |
Danyyyyyyyyyyy: I'm not married but Ive heard some advices from other people 1) have one account for personal things then a joint bank account for the bills and house maintenance and both of you decide how much should be contributed from both of you , it can be 30 -70 or 40 - 60
2) if possible have an emergency fund for you know emergencies , we know that we're supposed to hope for the best and just be completely optimistic and prepare for the best but you also have to prepare for the worst and most unexpected situations ( e.g your spouse or child is diagnosed with big man sickness and you have nothing to hold onto , you can't even take a break to nurse them , it'seven worse when it's the breadwinner ( the man ) , there's also divorce , you don't want to be caught unawares by anything
3) don't ever forget why your spouse is your spouse , always make out time to dress up and go out together and have fun as boyfriend and girlfriend , even though you're husband and wife , it's easier said than done but it makes things a lot more colorful , when kids enter the picture over maturity kills that love that makes you feel like a teenager
4) you'll be hurt and angry and they will test your limits sometimes , just prepare your mind to forgive and forgive , till you become a professional forgiver you need to learn to overlook somethings
5) when something happens address it immediately and let it go , don't burry it, it'll grow into a resentment, then later become disgust and hatred , na small thing dey turn to big thing , you won't even believe it , someone cancelled wedding because of peak milk , he wasn't being petty , if you hear the full story you might be in support of the cancellation , even though it sounds funny at first Guy, give the full gist na. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Was Given A Suspension Letter by BRAINNY(m): 12:12pm On Mar 05, 2022 |
I understand that the non-payment of your salary must have gotten to you. However, you ought to weigh the outcome of your needless confrontation with your boss.
Nigeria has its peculiarities. But if it were in developed countries like the one I live in, you'd likely be without a job for quite a long time. Employers need recommendation letters from your previous employers. And be sure that this one will scuttle every other opportunity that comes your way. I know someone (now late) whose chances of a shot in the medical field in the UK got destroyed because his previous supervisor wrote badly of him. That took the trajectory of his career in a different direction. It seems he never recovered.
People management skills are indispensable in the corporate world. Besides, humility is paramount. The holy book says pride comes before a fall. You may well watch it. A simple, 'I'm sorry and good morning sir' would have saved you this needless back and forth. And I must add that that wouldn't take anything off you. Two captains can't lead a ship. If the boss is arrogant and you tow his path, the clashes will be constant and that's unhealthy for the organisation.
Those urging you on wouldn't pay your bills. The best would have been to just play the fool while looking for another job. Once you've gotten it and gotten their recommendation, then leave. |
