Please, don't learn the hard way. There's more money to earn ahead when you graduate. You'll jeopardise your chances of getting a PSW or even a skilled workers visa if you go against the conditions of your visa. Those guys will calculate even to the minutest of details. Be wise! fastseo: |
As it stands the initial date for induction(Sept 6th) isn't tenable any longer. The rumours of mails being sent for people to pay is real and so are those who got called to pay so that they would be connected with law makers to have their names included. It's pathetic to say the least. |

If some people paid to be shortlisted. There are two things, an insider has the details of those shortlisted and wants to profit from it.But then, who among them will pay the stated bribe with the name already published? Two, it could be that the shenanigans have been reported and the list had to be visited again. Well, this is just my personal opinion as an outsider. |
A few weeks ago, someone here posted about paying for care sponsorship. I was against and he came at me. Kindly watch this:
|
tron23:Yeah, I later saw that too. My mind was fixated on January 2024. |

duchess90:Thank you very much. |
BRAINNY:Duchess and others, my friend's question is still awaiting your response. I got distracted. 🤦♂️ |
UKworksponsorsh:Bros, I dey humble. Between you and I who is an enemy here? You sell COS £8000, and you very well know it shouldn't be sold. It's Africans especially Nigerians that made a business of it. You know that Care Work is difficult, like the person is paying to get work to get paid, when it shouldn't be. Even global employers like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, McKinsey, BCG,Bain &Company, JP Morgan, and the like that offer beautiful jobs with enviable career prospects wouldn't ask anyone to pay for a COS, let alone such a humongous sum. We complain that there are no jobs with the Nigerian Civil service because the slots are sold, is there any difference between what you are doing and the Nigerian Civil service? Yours is even worst, because that of the Civil service, the funds can be recouped easily. But to pay £8000 for a COS , it'll take atleast 1-2 years, to save up to that and recoup those funds, considering that there other bills to pay while in the UK. |
UKworksponsorsh:I may add that I work with the UK government (of course, I wouldn't state the department). I can end all the COS thing you're advertising here. You and I know too well that it's illegal to sell COS. So friend, choose your battles wisely. Cheers! |
UKworksponsorsh:Dude, I don't do minimum wage. I'm a chartered accountant and wouldn't want to reveal where I work on a public space. Thanks. As I stated, may the Lord reward you for all that you do. Cheers! |
UKworksponsorsh:I didn't abuse you why do you seem rattled? By God's grace, I have never done care and wouldn't. I live and work in the UK sir. And by God's grace, I can't ever be an 'oponu'. May the Lord reward you for all you do. |
UKworksponsorsh:Una don come. You want people to pay to come do such modern slavery below their standard. If someone has £4000 isn't that enough deposit in some schools? In fact some schools accept £3000 tuition deposit. The person can still work in care and support himself. You're intentionally putting people into suffering while enriching yourself. Be careful guys, one, there are lots of scammers out there. A lot have paid with no headway. Two,a lot paid and got into the UK with no shifts. Someone even committed suicide because of this problem. If you want to choose your chains, do so wisely. By the way, this thread is for Tier 4 student visa, what in the world are you doing here? Moderator do the needful. Thanks. |
Hello Duchess and everyone in the house, we are having an issue here. A friend is applying for a study visa. After paying the IHS surcharge, she discovered that she picked that funds were held in her name when it's rather held in her parents account/name. Now she can't make changes. She is yet to pay the application fee. Please, what's the way forward? Thanks |
We don't have the luxury of time. School resumes in September, any AR now will likely be coming out in October, then the reconsideration. This is really tortuous. Tboy243: |
Bro, how long has your AR been and have they communicated to you? Tboy243: |
Hi bro, what was the reason adduced for your initial refusal? Tboy243: |
Be careful when booking flights with waiting times of longer than one hour involving self transfer. UK is no longer in the EU and if you'll be passing through the Schengen Area you will be needing a transit visa. Be careful and avoid self transfer as much as possible. You'll be passing through immigration again in a Schengen Area( Barcelona in this case), so you'd be needing a transit visa. Tenski: |
Do they have a Nigerian representative. If they do, the go through him/her. I saw this on their website: https://www.derby.ac.uk/life/international-students/international-team-and-agents/sub-saharan-africa/ Josmila: |
Hi, what bank did you use for your POF? myhero: |
First bank is quite a headache. IDtravel: |
Yes. It was in May, the rates hadn't gone gaga yet. Besides, the funds were more than required. The Home Office never mentioned that the funds weren't enough, from the screen shot I attached, they only mentioned that First Bank didn't respond when they tried to verify. Portex: |
Hello, thanks. It wasn't about the funds but because First Bank didn't respond. Quite painful! Cashmadam: |
Hello house, I need help. We had a visa refusal and were asked to apply for an administrative review. Here are the grounds for the refusal as shown on the screenshot. The truth remains that, the funds in the account were dissipated while waiting; a part were debited for Form A. while the others got debited after the expiration of the 30/31 days after the mandated 28 days had been fulfilled. Please, the way forward?
|
Yes, I remember that someone here had complained particularly about First bank before. Then we had already applied. Victor1685: |
Guys, I am still waiting particularly someone who personally faced this situation and went through the administrative review. Also, is there anyone who used First bank lately? BRAINNY:

If you left school any time before 2019, there's the likelihood that they'll ask for evidence of what you've been doing. Just make it easy for them to follow- NYSC period(with proof), postgraduate study(if you went back to school-use an admission letter or certificate if you've graduated), if you were working (employment letter(s), payslips). Just anything for them to easily follow you through graduation till now. All the best! alameen21: |
The location is Etiebets Place, Ground and First Floors, 21 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Nigeria. Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way is thet straight road from IKeja to Mary Land. From under the bridge at Ikeja, take a bus going to Maryland and tell the conductor where you're going(better to say the visa office than TLS -someone has just stated that the bust stop is Abule), note that buses going to Yaba too pass that route. You can walk forward and use the second bridge close to the teaching hospital, there are buses from Ikeja to Maryland there too. However, if you can get a bus from Oshodi to Maryland(I sincerely don't know if there are). When you get to Maryland, take Ikeja and tell the conductor that you're going to the visa office (Abule bus stop). Juwon21: |
1. You can get your CAS in a week (Except if the documents are not correct/complete). 2. Biometrics depends largely on the available dates - check the TLS portal when booking and to reduce waiting time use any of their added services like the priority lounge for instance. 3. Visa application is also relative. But if you are pressed for time then apply for the priority service (5 working days) and if you have the funds, use the super priority (24rs). Finally, ensure that you upload all documents. If it's has been long that you left school, kindly include your CV(although it's not requested). They may want to know what you been doing since you left school. Employment letters, payslips etc as evident suffices. Just make sure that they wouldn't have any grounds to request for further information as that would result to needless delay. eedris03: |

Enemy of Nigerians , Yours is even worst than our politicians own. Too much pride in you bros, be Humble in your next world !!
. I have also mailed the immigration and welfare department of the school, I'm waiting for their response. At this point I've left everything in the Hands of God.
