Christianity EtcRe: How Does A "Soul" Make Sense? by braithwaite(m):
[b]

wetyn be soul?

It depends on your philosophical belief. In the Western world, the idea that a soul exists which is non-physical and of a purer essence than the mundane, inferior physical self originated with Plato as a part of his Theory of Form and mental -physics
So, whether you believe or not in a soul at all has a lot to do with how you define the term in the first place. Most people, religious or not, seem to accept the concept of an individuality, though whether or not they consider it nonphysical or merely the sum total of genetics and life experience varies.
Even the existence of souls, since a supernatural entity outside the laws of physics is not something we can attain to know, because there is no controlled or experimentally feasible way to obtain evidence about it,there's no such entity known as **soul **
But if we refer to "soul " as compassion and mindfulness of the world and others, then yes, many people have "souls ".religious folks are so cock -sure and belive in any crap they read, how would have the world be if science didnt come into existence.

Guess animals too will fall into the categories of having soul? Or just few and Others are pretty soul-less, unfortunately, but I think they are the minority. I like this meaning of the word "soul" because it is concrete and verifiable through the actions of people, and it is a concept that benefits mankind. We will all live better lives with more compassion for others and respect for the planet.

As Buddha once said:
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

Every living being has a type of dimension that might be identified as a soul.

Christianity EtcRe: Debunking Religion With One Question by braithwaite(m):
ikbnice:
I have asked myself over and over this same question. God shouldn't have given satan the power to mislead His people and commit them to sin. Since satan was created before Adam, God should have punished satan alone for his sins and prevent him from having any disciples.
Talking of the rebellion that happened in heaven then(though we were not there), God the all-powerful and all-knowing should have known before creating satan that he would do that or he should have stopped him from rebelling. If satan, a creation of God is so acursed, didn't that speak of the imperfection of God's work.
Many good things on earth(wealth, pleasure, freewill) are mostly associated with the devil as means he uses in luring his victims while God is to be served with hunger, pain, fasting, poverty etc with the promise of everlasting enjoyment somewhere.
Someone should enlighten me.
[b]

Am glad you people are beginning to reason deeply.. now the religious folks with come down here and troll on you that, you shouldn't use your thinking to justify God's act or articulation ..because God is a teacher, that his student will be afraid to ask questions? Or a comedian, that the audience will be scared to laugh?.. make una use brain .

religion, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed, imagination, and poetry

Religion has turned untested belief into unshakable truth through the power of following written books by some silly fellow, you know if God did not exist, it would be necessary for them to invent him...and they did..
And again I stop believing any religious crap.. look at this stance for example:
* humans: freewill
* Lucifer: freewill ?
And I thought lucifer is and archangel oo. there's also this serious mystery of why lucifer was allowed to rebel against God. God gave man free will. But Lucifer was not a humman - he was an archangel.. yet a misery..and I think since the so-called God see Lucifer has rebel against him, so like an engineer who build a particular software and got corrupt, then he discard and created human version 2.0, guess since the new updates, the so called God erase the free-will from archangel

Certainly,I don't know the reason of an archangel to have freewill, coz what makes humans have free will, then a person still has the ability to choose evil, regardless of whether there is outside temptation urging them that way. Yrt the numbers of people still turn to evil even though lucifer is locked away from the world .or maybe some of the angels has spare keys wink I don't know. And, presumably, God does not want us to choose evil, even if he does leave that option open. Why, then, would he not remove as many enticements to evil as possible, to ensure that the greatest number of people make the right choice? God’s decision to let lucifer roam free or whoever open his dungeon. in the Christian view, can only be seen as an act of incompetence or malice. It ensures that more people end up damned than otherwise would have been. If there was any evidence that any of this was true, such a plan of action would cast serious doubt on the goodness of the planner, and raise the question of whether a deity who unleashed a being as evil as Satan on the world would be truly deserving of our devotion or our worship.

Dont know maybe the so - called god isnt fit yet to conquer the so called devil ,but he's fit this days, his focus has shifted onto concepts like gender equality, gay-pride,drinking,smoking immorality and science, etc he's done quite a bit for humanity, yet the one major sinner is yet to conquer?
Chai embarassed guess heaven will be full of free will

The Devil is sort of like a prison warden in charge of keeping inmate and punishing, and we don't generally regard wardens as evil. Maybe the Devil was invented by those who invent God as a loyal opposition ,

And to prospective quoter am not bashing any religion here or trying to convince you into leaving your doctrine..am just here saying out my opinion ..and I guess God won't smash my head against the wall for **free will opinion ** so no smash me grin grin grin

So to your question.. The so called God is unfit to tackle him for now, let wait and see what happens.. watch out

Mithra was born of a virgin? Who said he was born of a virgin? Most of the stuff said about mithra are just made up on the Internet by laymen.

Here's a good essay on it :

http://christianthinktank.com/copycat.html

Mithra was being born of "Anahita, the Immaculate Virgin Mother of the Lord Mithras". Anahita did conceived the Mithras from the seed of Zarathustra preserved in the waters of Lake Hamun in the Persian province of Sistan. Which is really a contradictory traditions, mithra is also born without any sex but from the rock wall of a cave. One must know that there were separate Mithra traditions that may have changed and been adapted over time.

Liar!!! Mithras was born from a rock and not a virgin. Osiris' mother was Nut, sky goddess and consort of Ra, so he being born of a virgin was made up. For the crucifixion story, hanging on a pole was a common way of executing criminals. Crucifixion is not a made up story or a copy. Jesus actually existed. The similarity between the Osiris story and Jesus' ressurection is only a co-incidence.

Jesus ressurection aus only a coincidence? Thats what you read or told to believe?

Christianity EtcWas Christianity A Borrowed Religion? by braithwaite(op): 7:29am On Jun 02, 2016
Stumbled upon this piece on the internet, few might have come across it,but thought sharing it and let the Christians prove it otherwise ..known that Judaism is 3800yrs and Christianity. Is close to 2000 years, yet Judaism is cast away..

Christianity was said to have borrowed its central myths and ceremonies from other ancient religions. The ancient world was rife with tales of virgin births, miracle-working saviors, tripartite gods, gods taking human form, gods arising from the dead, heavens and hells, and days of judgment. In addition to the myths, many of the ceremonies of ancient religions also match those of that syncretic latecomer, Christianity. To cite but one example (there are many others), consider Mithraism, a Persian religion predating Christianity by centuries. Mithra, the savior of the Mithraic religion and a god who took human form, was born of a virgin; he belonged to the holy trinity and was a link between heaven and Earth; and he ascended into heaven after his death. His followers believed in heaven and hell, looked forward to a day of judgment, and referred to Mithra as "the Light of the World." They also practiced baptism (for purification purposes) and ritual cannibalism—the eating of bread and the drinking of wine to symbolize the eating and drinking of the god's body and blood. Given all this, Mithra's birthday should come as no surprise: December 25th; this event was, of course, celebrated by Mithra's followers at midnight.

Mithraism is but the most striking example of the appearance of these myths and ceremonies prior to the advent of Christianity. They appear—in more scattered form—in many other pre-Christian religions.

Lets not forget Osiris did the same things. He was born of a virgin, was considered the first true king of the people, and when he died he rose from the grave and went to heaven. Osiris's son, Horus, was known as the "light of the world", "The good shepherd", and "the lamb". He was also referred to as, "The way, the truth, and the life." His symbol was a cross.

Krishna had a miraculous conception that wise men were able to come to because they were guided by a star. After he was born an area ruler tried to have him found and killed. His parents were warned by a divine messenger, however, and they escaped and was met by shepherds. The boy grew up to be the mediator between the so called God and man.
