I've made my case, and I'll leave it at that. If gun is the most commonly used weapon to kill, it means the gun itself has a better killing advantage than other weapons, so are you saying Islam has terror advantage than other religions? |

Look for others to blame, wail and claim victim.
Rinse and repeat. So what you people are telling us is that the purpose of you people supporting one Nigeria is to revenge the Igbos? If we are to go with your analogies then it simply means the existence of Nigeria to you people is to show revenge and wickedness to the Igbos. Which means that's you people main purpose of having Nigeria as a country, no wonder you guys can support people like Buhari and Tinubu without your conscience pricking you guys, because to you guys any leader who will show revenge and hatred to the Igbos is ok to you people even if he destroys Nigeria Like Buhari did and Tinubu is currently doing. I'm not surprised though, I'm happy you people have finally told us why you people want Nigeria as a country with the Igbos in it.

You see what most of you don't understand is that state creation never existed until the British Project called Nigeria was mapped out and even when states were created, they weren't drawn out based on ethnicity rather on military or superficial reasons.. That's why it irks me when some Southeasterns will say am not true Igbo...like can you listen to yourself Our forefathers have been migrating and cohabiting with each other for centuries on these lands but when Nigerian Military Government drew boundary lines on these same lands, you now ingested that as your true identity even discriminating and looking down on your kinfolks in other parts of the lands!! It's ridiculous.. And this is one of the effect of not teaching rigid history in Nigeria especially including the Civil War..a lot of ppl born in the late 70s downwards just think their state ethnic group is superior to their same ethnic group in other states or that though we speak more or less the same mother tongue but since we are in different state we are different!!! LMAO!!! Most Nigerians are so ignorant on this ethnic issue and it pains me that parents keep Passing down this ignorant virus down to their blood line.. I'm from the south east, for me I see you people as full Igbo, any person who says you are not full Igbo is deceiving himself, for me any Igbo man anywhere has equal rights with every Igbo man everywhere, there is nothing like superior Igbo, Igbo is Igbo, this is where I want Ohaneze to strengthen the bond and ties with every single Igbo clan outside the the south east, no Igbo clan should be seen as less, no Igbo clan should be see as more, once you are Igbo you are Igbo.... |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Dozens Of DR Congo Mourners Killed In Attack Linked To Jihadist Group by Brendaniel: 9:48am On Sep 11, 2025 |
EchoEnigma: To understand how this works, let's look at a verse manipulators often twist from
Surah Al-Baqarah:
"Kill them wherever you come upon them and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution is far worse than killing... If they do so, then fight them..."
The clear context here is self defense for a community that was violently persecuted. But someone with an agenda can take this verse to a vulnerable person someone poor, illiterate, or just alienated and twist it.
They ignore the context of "persecution" and present it as a command for violence. This isn't just my theory, I've seen this playbook firsthand. My work involves understanding radicalism, and my team has interviewed extremist leaders and their followers. What's shocking is that the followers often know the Qur'an by heart but can't actually read or understand its context. They're extremely poor. The leaders draw them in with gifts, food, clothes for their wives and then tell them to send their kids to indoctrination centers instead of schools.
The leaders, on the other hand, are just after power and wealth.
You can see the hypocrisy right here in Nigeria. A certain demographic is easily recruited by leaders. In this same society they forbid music at a wedding, while those same leaders play music and serve alcohol in private. It’s a game of manipulation, not faith. I wish I can go deeper into different use cases but NDA wouldn't allow me do that. Which means there is something wrong with the religion... |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Dozens Of DR Congo Mourners Killed In Attack Linked To Jihadist Group by Brendaniel: 7:42am On Sep 11, 2025 |
EchoEnigma: This is a fair question, but the problem isn't the religion, it's the politics. Terrorist groups are political movements that hijack religious symbols to get power. They recruit people by exploiting real world anger over things like foreign invasions, poverty, and corrupt governments. To justify their violence, they have to completely twist the faith's actual teachings. This is why the vast majority of the world's 1.8 billion Muslims reject these groups entirely. These opportunists, whom the media call terrorists, number only in the thousands.
Now, let's also look at the conditioning we all experience from the media we consume. News headlines often blame the religion while ignoring the political reasons and selfish interests behind the conflict. Movies do it too, constantly using stereotypes like 'Islamic terrorists,' Russian agents, and African warlords as the bad guys, while the West always plays the hero. This constant psychological positioning makes it hard to remain objective. Even when presented with different facts, your mind will still hold on to that conditioned image.
What you're seeing isn't a problem with Isla, it's a few violent political groups using its name to achieve their own goals.
My goal here isn't just to convince you. I would rather you go deeper into these matters go way back if you can. But while doing so, be objective. Leave your own beliefs at the door and come in as a researcher looking for answers. Perhaps then, you will form a point of view that isn't tainted, but is based on facts and human psychology.
All the best✌🏾 If Islam is the easiest means to use for terrorism then there is something wrong with the religion, that's my major point |

CaseSensitive: There's a deep historical context to it. You may have to go back to the times of "The Crusades" to fully understand but in short, they are instruments in the hand of foreign powers, politicians etc. America had strong links with Al Qaeda, Ukraine is supporting the JNIM terrorists in the Sahel etc.
France's Vincent Crouzet (A member of French Intelligence Agency) once publicly said loosely in 2023 or so, that "Now that we are no more in the Sahel, we have more flexibility to start up some operations of destabilisation more secretively in the region". How do you think they carry out these destabilisation operations? The question is why always them and terrorism all over the world? |
