Reason why I said Nigeria should never have been one from the start.... This is the major analysis of Nigeria, exception to a few from these regions which differ by size. 1. North - Religion(Islam) - reason why they vote in that direction and swayed easily by Islamic leaders... 2.,South West - Tribalism - though the numbers are lesser than the north in such, reason why a gave exception to size but majority are easily swayed by tribalism. 3. South East - Economic prosperity, they would rather vote a Fulani man they believe will help their business flourish than a fellow Igbo man who will ruin their business... 4. South South - Oil and Gas - They would support anyone who will promise them more resources to be given to them from their land. Appletek: You are concerned but your concern stems from lack of knowledge rather than a genuine desire to prevent duplication of official functions.
BOI doesn't cover many sectors outside manufacturing. It doesn't cover retail, professional services, etc. It doesn't cover real estate.
Also, BOI is Government-funded.
What this new body does is to provide a guarantee for Businesses seeking to raise private capital. It also needs expands on sectors that are serviced. So why then did the Tinubu deposit 100 billion for a start on behalf of government ? You are the one actually lacking knowledge here.... |

lionshare: This entity will reduce the risk banks face when lending to the public by guaranteeing repayment of a portion of the loan in the event of default. The primary objective is to motivate financial institutions to extend more credit to individuals & corporates in the economy. A step in the right direction I must say coupled with soon coming open banking policy I think we are in for better times in terms of access to credit. Appletek: Must it only be the BOI that lends to businesses? Don't you see that this one enables private capital to flow into business with this agency guaranteeing this businesses?
Don't criticise what you don't understand. Couldn't they have just implemented the same policy under the BOI to carry out the same function?

KillahPriest: saying the truth will not kill you. Who are those on record that have attacked other tribes all over the country ? Who are those that flogged and bloodied the Igbos and igbo looking people including yorubas from voting in 2023 elections ? Your problem with the Igbos is that they don't bow down to anyone, they don't do baba so pe politics but you just hate them for the things a particular group you love repeatedly come on air to claim responsibility for. Say the truth for once so we can heal this country because the Igbos are not your problem If you want to understand the Yorubas(at least a large number of them) or would I say the tribalistic ones, you have to back in history before Nigeria was created, go back and read how they lived with each other as kingdoms then you will begin to see why they behave the way they behave especially to the Igbos... I might still write an article or a book about them, and it might really piss them off but it will be based on my research and as long as I'm speaking the truth, anyone can rant as much he/she wants... It was something they should have adjusted over time, some did but a large did not and some are still adjusting though... When you understand what I'm talking about you will know why Nigeria should have never been one from the start. |

WizardOfNG: One excuse after the other. Nigerians are good at that rather than simply admit others have made empirically superior and logically proven arguments.
In sophisticated climes, the electorate is always encouraged to hold their direct representative responsible first and immediately.
In the UK for example, the electorate is encouraged to write their MP (Member of parliament for their borough) who can then bring issues raised before the parliament.
This is because leaders exist at their local level, I.e their MP, to first deal with problems rather than bypassing them to then approach the Prime Minister for everything.
They don't start writing the Prime Minister without first contacting those who should be their first port of call in the leadership responsibility hierarchy. So which one have you written to your state governor, LG chairman or even minister or you don't see any problem in Nigeria for you to write about or you simply do not give a fvck about the problems of Nigeria? |
Politics › Re: Nollywood Queen Hassana Salisu Calls Out President Over Crumbling State Of NHIA by Brendaniel: 11:31am On May 29, 2025 |
WizardOfNG: People like you should stop encouraging mediocrity. All that Nigerians know is to call Tinubu for everything. There is a substantive Minister in place that has executive authority over the matter the lady complains of.
Why then does she not write said Minister rather than Mr.President? This is how every Nigerian wants to direct all problems in their local government and Sentorial constituency to Tinubu rather than their local government chairman and Senator respectively.
It is the wrong way to act in an elective democracy where different leaders have the duty to deliver solutions for specific problems under their jurisdiction. What can she do to the minister? fire him for not doing his job? Tinubu is the only one who can call his appointees to order, under the constitution no Nigerian order than the president can do that, so why fight symptoms when you can fight the root cause? If Tinubu's attention is called for the bad performance of his appointee and he does nothing then he is just as bad as his appointee in performance... |
