richiemcgold: This electricity problem is getting worse everyday. Only God knows how much I've lost since January due to epileptic power. My company is located in the busiest and most commercial part of the city, yet we hardly enjoy 2 hours of electricity in a day. The price of diesel is still above the roof. The thing dey give me serious concern everyday. Tinubu you no try for this one at all. Many businesses are struggling and crumbling everyday due to poor power supply. For how long are we going to endure this nonsense? Someone jokingly said I should sell all my machines, then fold up the business and use the money to relocate with my family to Canada. I'm just tired, Olohun! Why are you complaining and who are you complaining to? Haven't you achieved what you wanted? What are you now complaining about? |

So much for forcing this failed ideology down the throat of people at the slightest chance. Anyways, "Etiyemonu" translates to what please? The thing is quite annoying, for the name it means I put or add mouth or talk in Igbo , I don't know what it means in Yoruba, if the girl is igbo, then I kind of see the reason why they may have forced the cap on her because I know I may have seen some other winners who were not forced to wear the cap... |

<NBS, TheCableIndex> #TheCableIndex Richtaiwo: Funny how some states sit far below the North in internet usage, yet never miss a chance to label Northerners “illiterates.” Kano alone boasts about 9m subscribers, while one self-proclaimed hub of “the most educated” struggles to still fall below 1.3m.
So what exactly is stopping them, illiteracy or poverty?
Of course, any moment now they’ll claim it’s their people boosting the numbers in other states… as if their villages are empty and everyone else is just borrowing their Wi-Fi. in a bid to brag and mock those you despise, you guys just exposed how wicked you people have been, so Nigeria of about 250 million people has an active 140 internet subscribers scattered all over the country, and yet you people want to make us believe that Nigeria is not ripe electronic transmission of results or even electronic voting.First what was the total number of voters in the 2023 election ? Was that number even half of 140 million? Then how many people in total voted for the presidential election, was that even quarter of 140 million? Doesn't it tell you guys that electronic voting will have more participation for choosing leaders? But, No, to you people it is a bad idea, not because of any hacking, network issue or participation but because it gives you people lesser room to cheat and manipulate the system, if little children can be writing JAMB all over Nigeria on the same day and they have been doing it for years with lesser budget, is it election that has a budget of over 1 trillion naira that will have problem? In a bid to cheat and manipulate the system, you guys keep supporting backwardness while insulting forward thinkers. |

Yet the British made it work somehow as a business empire and amalgamated the north and south for easier administration.
How did the British do it? If it worked then for them why is it now impossible to work now for us?
You guys should pls stop repeating old rythorics just because you have heard them been said for a long time that you are just spewing without being able to defend.
Nigeria has faced challenges since independence and self rule in 1960 but with effort and the right leadership Nigeria has potential to be one of the greatest nations on earth.
Until about 2 decades ago China faced worse challenges than Nigeria has.... no one gave up on China or advocated for the dissolution. Look at where they are today. Competing and arguably with a bigger economy than the US. The difference is visionary leadership.
Problems/challenges get solved by tackling and solving them not by running away.
Thank you! To you, What is the major problem of Nigeria? And how do you think that major problem can be solved? |

“I want to say here that the ranking is completely false as it did not emanate from council, because there are many other things to be considered to arrive at such percentage and this is not part of our job. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has described as untrue, claims that it carried out ranking on performance of states in its recently released examination for school candidates.
Mr Patrick Areghan, WAEC’s Head of National Office, dismissed the claims, which he described as misleading, false and the handiwork of mischief maker. Areghan, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos, said that the report did not emanate from the council.

Politics › Re: Rain Always Destroy Rice Farm Under Buhari Govt But Doesn't Under Tinubu See Why by Brendaniel: 4:21pm On Feb 11 |
Biodun556: Under Buhari government rice farmers always come up with the stories that rain storm destroyed their farms on yearly bases. Buhari government do respond by giving them billions of naira and aids, and this was usually followed with increase in price of rice.
Under Buhari government, the price of bag of rice moved from 10,000 to like 90,000 despite outcry, the government never considered importation to check the excesses of the rice farmers. Journalist and media houses never made verification to ascertain whether rice farms were actually destroyed.
Under Tinubu government, I wonder why such stories never come up. This is because importation is allowed to check and balance the rice farmers activities. If they claim rain destroy their farms, importation would serve as alternative not money or aid.
The same thing applies to Dangote on cement matter. He usually increase price of cement since government stopped importation. He will always give excuses of market glut. Now the cement is 11000 naira plus.
Some two weeks back , Petrol was 734 naira per liter, people were relieve and hope. Then Dangote came up with claim that he can now meet local demand, government responded by stopping importation, shortly after that, Dangote increase price of Petrol to 834 per liter.
These are the evils we do to ourselves in Nigeria. Nothing should be left in the hands of local manufacturers. Importation should be allowed in all areas of the economy to serve as a check and balance. I hope northerners are learning, the very same mouth that praised Buhari to the sky is the same mouth pushing Buhari into the ground and fought those who spoke the truth, now he is here praising Tinubu against buhari because he believes Tinubu is his tribesman and they've achieved what they wanted with Buhari...

Putinofrussia: I think Mr Obi or his ilk were the ones that lied of WAEC ranking of state for more than 10 years until people inquired and WAEC said they had never ranked states since their establishment because they are in 5 countries in Africa. Some newspapers even carried this lie for years. What they cannot buy, they influence with money and lobbyists. So also was the award. According to Prof Soludo,Mr Obi increased poverty to over 50%. He shut all hospitals and schools in Anambra for 13 months and allowed a lot of people to be killed and thrown into the Izu or whatever river. He even put Anambra's money in Fidelity bank where he is a shareholder so he can make huge profit personally. That is an impeachable offence, Mr Obi is a good man but a disaster in governance. After you people and Tinubu forced WAEC to remove the commendation just to score political cheap point, i wonder how much was paid for that, you people be spending money and resources on nonsense to achieve nonsense thinking you people are making sense while leaving the real problems unsolved...
