I think we have had enough fun with derailment for the day. Further derailment will attract a ban.
Cheers! |

If my memory doesn't fail me, I think that chic has got such big boooobs that it will take 4 people to handle them. 2 men per brea.st. Are you sure you don't need back up? 4. Discussions of the art of love-making should be restricted to the hidden sexuality section. |
TV/Movies › Re: The Word '"God" Is Omitted In Films Shown On Mnet Movies by Briareos(m): 2:26pm On Nov 20, 2014 |
Beingunique: I noticed some weeks ago that whenever a movie is shown on mnet movie and the word God is said,it is usually muted out as if it is a foul word. I noticed it most especially a few days ago when d movie 'woman, thou are losed' was shown, every time d word is said, its blanked/muted out...even yesterday,it was d same thing! Why are they doing dis? Are they trying to deny the existence of God? Has any1 noticed dis too? They are trying to be politically correct. They dont want people crying mnet is trying to shove God down their throats. |

ShortPistolZA: Yeah, there's something very shady, gross & creepy about the guy. Like he could be a Norman Bates kind of serial killer. The type that would put on female clothing & makeup just before slitting your throat. Shudders. Someone has seen Hitchcock's Psycho |

Final warning to everyone. Let the gender and sexuality attack stop. This issue has been over-flogged and it should be put to rest to avoid derailment. Let everyone caution themselves and their choice of words. It doesn't matter who instigates the issue, it would count as a derailment after warning if you get involved. Let's maintain decorum. Cheers guys! Briareos: Spade, AudioRage, Decanta, Decantan... It is with glee for me to see you guys have finally made up and reconciled all your differences... Because any more discussion on the "issue" will attract lengthy bans... from both sides!
Cheers, guys! Let's have fun! |

Dannyxy: mod, rule one: don't tribalise thread. calling someone a "yoruba clown" is insulting, inciting, provocative and tribalistic. the guy has broken up to 5 rules.

cao: Well, watching stuff on BBC iPlayer on the PS3, I had just finished Top Hat (1935) before that. And three other Fred Astaire & Ginger Rodgers films from the 1930s yesterday. I love my oldies. I haven't seen any movie made in the 30s. My favourite oldies are Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, Citizen Kane by Orson Welles and Some Like It Hot starring Marilyn Monroe. |

TV/Movies › Re: Why Cant Nollywood Act Films With Some Seriousness. by Briareos(m): 3:45pm On Nov 03, 2014 |
prof800: There are New Nollywood movies that are better than the old 1998 era movies by far in terms of story and picture quality.
People are just too nostalgic and sentimentally biased.
While some refuse to wake up from their slumber.
If Nigerian movies get to Hollywood standard today, people will still bad-mouth and criticize. But then don't some people bad mouth Hollywood too and Bollywood too? They fail to see the good in things.
Your statement is a fallacy.! It is just like saying for example, that a 'terminator 1' is better than an 'edge of tomorrow'. Only sentiments will let one reason in that angle.
Therefore, it is utterly absurd to say that storylines of the past beat that of the present era. Unless ofcourse you are watching 'alaba home videos'.
There is a new and better Nollywood that might not yet be world class but is steering on the right track to world class. And you don't get to see these films except in the Cinemas. The Nollywood movies on the street are 'alaba home videos' and are the lancers of the bad name of Nollywood.
MARD, Indian film is a classic, and is ever green but that don't mean that there are no better stories in today's Bollywood.
Same for IGODO, Saworoide, Nneka the snake girl, Arus-iyi, Domitila, Blood Money (Nigerian movies) and all the other ever greens. It don't mean that better stories have not been told. Maybe you don't just get to see them as alaba home videos occupy the market more whereas NEW NOLLYWOOD films are sold in theatres across the country. https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/29504545086817.jpg |

ochon: Tayo is not a NLer member, so Kgr28 is right to criticise and cuss him. Goodluck Jonathan gets dissed all day, and people don't get banned for it. We insult other HMs too. So maybe you should close the thread or warn all of us, then. Perhaps, the interpretation of that rule eluded you. But take note of the following Key words: DELIBERATELY. INSULT. PROVOKE. FIGHT. Anyways, this is the last post I'm gonna offer on this issue. I also suggest you and forkadict put a lid on your argument. If you wanna address your issues, kindly use the pm. Arigato. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Briareos(m): 1:56pm On Nov 03, 2014 |
kgr28: Then what?? you can ban me if you want indefinitely , I dont care. I'm not going to ban you, I only said it is a warning. ochon: To be fair to Kgr28, his hate hasn't broken any rules (I stand to be corrected). He's allowed to bash any HMs as he wants as long as it doesn't break NL's rules. We've insulted other HMs as well. Saying he hates Tayo or Nigerians is not enough to earn him a warning or a ban. He's broken no rules. 2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to any Nairaland member. kgr28: its ok man! just wanted to piss off, some smart - azzes in here! Is that deliberate enough? forkadict: Oga MOD.
With due respect. Are you freaking confused? (Even tho the word freaking should have been replaced by a more apt word which coincidentally starts with the letter f)
The 'fair enough' part of the post you quoted was for @Ochon and not @kgr28 as you implied.
Please go back and read the post again. This time sl-o-w-ly. Taking each word one at a time. Neither this post nor the poster is worth my time. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Briareos(m): 12:17pm On Nov 03, 2014 |
forkadict: Fair enough if you feel this way about @kgr28 but then just as you are free to express yourself, he also has the same right. If he chooses to base ALL his expressions about Tayo, then so be it. It is not fair at all if he continues to instigate and cause problems. I've personally warned him to reduce his inciting comments and let peace reign. But he wouldn't listen. Kgr28, consider this another warning. |

cupidhero: i swear bro! liam neeson is a boss, have you seen schindlers list? if you are a liam neeson fan you need watch that movie to know why it is among top 20 on every best movie of all time list in most movie sites. The facial expression on that his face is crazy and the final scene when he unknowingly walked into the wolf's den was epic. I've seen Schindler's List. Awesome movie. Liam is an exceptional actor. Saw him in "Love Actually", a classy romantice film and he killed it. Was used to seeing him kicking ass in his movies. |

Eberex: Batman of old didn't wear armor, and I loved his outfit. He is like a cyborg in this armor outfit. Batman has always been wearing an armor! How will you explain why he's still alive after getting shot at several times? His cape is not armor, but his suit is. Batty boy doesn't have any superpower, if he's not dressed like a frigging cyborg, how the heck is he gonna survive? |
