Wickedinlaw:I like your thought pattern, but I believe your analysis may not be accurate. As someone who made it to last year graduate associate interview but was unsuccessful, let me use my past experience to provide a more informed analysis regarding the subject matter. I hope this helps everyone with such questions. Interviews would normally run for a full 31 days, besides the holidays inbetween I think. That said, there are normally 2 panels comprising of 3 members, and each day having 10 candidates, so this means that each panel of 3 interviews 5 candidates. On the day I interviewed last year, only 9 of us showed up. So it's possible that some won't turn up. Judging by this analysis. So far, I think this year has 24 interview days. I also believe that there are at least 10 candidates per day and two panels as well. Although I know that some persons might again not honour their interview dates for whatsoever reason. This means that at least 240 people have been scheduled for this interview, implying that at least 120 of those would be successful and this includes tax, assurance and advisory. Although this year is unique, I would still like to believe that PwC already had a quota figure in mind. Also that does not necessarily mean that if more people perform well by their standards, they would not be taken. Good luck everyone! P.S: These are just my own thoughts, given my previous experience with the firm last year. Modified: After going through the 2016 recruitment link you posted, I now see where you're coming from. I honestly admit that I could be wrong, as this year is indeed different. May God help us all. |
Eryckah911: Wickedinlaw:Yes my interview was fine I think. About the discussion topics for the first part of the interview, I think this depends on the role you may have selected and your Cv experience. In any case, the topic would still be relevant to issues related to Nigeria. My topic was around sustainable energy. Irrespective of the topic you get, you would be expected to share your thoughts on the spot, so you may not have time to completely think it through. Again you have just 5 minutes, and they want to hear you talk. My advice, whatsoever topic you get try and proffer solutions to Nigeria problems or identify opportunity areas. Topic differs really I guess but if your CV is accounting related or you have a background, I would expect more economical topics. I hope this helps. |

Wickedinlaw: Eryckah911: Paschalive:In line with what has been earlier shared. Yes the interview is in two stages, the first part being a topic discussion where you have to share your thoughts on a given topic for about 5 minutes. The second part, the main interview where you respond to questions and also get to ask some, if any, at the end. All the best. |
Well done on your interview. Please why wasn't it video? benque: |
I'm glad everyone is receiving now. Those with August dates, please can we know when the last day for interview is? At least we know it begins tomorrow. Good luck all. |
Assurance Got the interview invite this morning for Friday 24July 2020, 11:00am - 12:00pm. |
Wickedinlaw:I would like to think that most people replied the mail as opposed to composing a fresh one. However, how did you come by this conclusion? Please do not create unnecessary panic for those that did o. |
ennyj01:Yes, internship is a year long but can be extended for an additional 6 months but no longer than 2 years at the moment. Pay is 100k (BSc) or 150k (MSc) Yes there is possibility of being retained as a 'contract staff' but opportunity depends on department/time and chance hence, probability is quite slim. |
ennyj01:Yeah, what do you need to know? |
mfarad:Wow, that's sad. Please what was his last status update, do you know? |
mosgoon:I couldn't agree more. I'm yet to see any job success mail without congratulations. Besides at every stage of this recruitment, NNPC has always congratulated us for making it thus far, how much more the final APL. Plus nobody ever shares a genuine good news and goes offline, your ego won't just let you. |
Quick question guys. Is the BHE going to be based on the different departments advertised. Or is it going to be a combination of all advertised departments. Judging from previous threads, I understand it comprises about 40 persons. Is this going to include a mix of all the applicants who make it to the final stage regardless of the role applied? From past threads, I've only seen the Field engineer advertised but this year seems different. I'm not sure though |
Chukwu94:Did you apply for Finance? |
miizkaphee:Even though i didn't ask about accommodation, i really doubt if that would be provided. It seems to me that the mode of learning may be mostly done online during the six months. This means you may still be able to manage your present job during this period. Once learning is completed, you would do full time 18 months wherever you're seconded and idaf pays you during this time. You cannot hold a second job for the 18 months, at least not to their knowledge. Idaf would continue to collect from your salary during the 18 months and pay you the balance, regardless of whatsoever company you are sent. At the end of the 18 months, the bond is over, as idaf would have fully recovered your training expense. temidayodamoye:Nope. The interview is very short, just direct questions circling around your availability and to be sure that you understand the terms of the training. |
miizkaphee:Hi. It went well. Emphasis was on full commitment to the program, i guess that was their major concern. |
Remix10:I'm not entirely sure if one can joggle the program with another job but I guess we can find out during the interview. |
webberman:What exactly are your doubts? Please share. |
