**talking about cut-off mark for medicine,i think it varies from year to year.one thing u should know is dat d no of candidates to be admitted into courses like medicine,dentistry $ some other courses are usually fixed.so it is usually a survival of the highest score between students applying for the courses.
if you are going for a course like medicine,u have to throw in ur best because some other applicants are doing the same.
if in a particular year we have high scoring candidates,it means d cut of mark will be high $ vice versa.the main ponit here is dat the cut-off mark for a particular year fluctuates around the number of students to be admitted for that year.

**i think u should refer to ur jamb brochure $ get the necessary info on wat uniben want from direct entry candidates.From wat i know,uniben have stated it clearly dat there is no direct entry into d school of medicine $ dentistry.pls check the 2011 jamb brochure for any update on that.

**for ur first question,scoring 223 is an average score but frankly speaking u need to put more effort because if uniben are to use their current yardstick,u only have 27.8 as jamb score,and for a course like pharmacy u need about a total score of 65 to be sure of been short-listed(am not saying that if u get a total score less than this means u will not get admitted as it depends on other candidates dat are trying to gain admission into pharmacy as well.).if other candidates do well above you,u might not get shortlisted,the main point is dat try and be among the top scorers at the end of the day.

**Hello peeps,still on ťĥĕ problem of lack of adequate information before-hand,which I think is ťĥĕ most potential problem facing jambites $ with the on-time release of jamb results,ťĥĕ next thing to do is to now is check how much your jamb score will add to your final admission score.
For the past 3- 4 years,uniben has been consistent in using 50% of ur post- utme $ ťĥĕ rest comes from ur jamb score divided by 8.If this the case for this year(which I think would),then all u have to do now is divide ur jamb score by 8 $ see what you have.
If what u get after calculating this is not up to about 30-35 or there about,it pretty means you have to work hard enough to upgrade ur score to an appreciable level.Remember that this depends on your chosen course as some courses require that you score high to gain admission but I believe that this depends on your fellow contenders. Once again I will like to advice you guyz to read $ not depend on any type of malpractice because the journey you just started requires self-reliability to accomplish.
