Hello,

I don't understand how it works...
I am interested but not in Nigeria...

Please explain

You know, due to the recent Cbn policy which restricts cash deposit in usd into dormicilliary account most people need usd for one purpose or the other but can't fund their dorm account, I have $2300 in my dorm account and I will transfer to any genuine person who need usd but can't deposit cash into their dorm acc and all they have to do is to give me the equivalent in naira subject to our agreed exchange rate. Get me Am also overseas but I have someone who is in Nigeria that can do the transaction on my behalf.

Did the carpenters say what made them suggest 20ft for the king post, and what was specified on the building plans?

Thanks for your response. We didn't lay much emphasis on the building plan because I wasn't sure of the roofing material/style of roofing to use for the building. His reasons for the suggestion of 20ft for the king post is because it will bring out d beauty of d building using stone coated roofing sheet. If you think 20 is cool then I will work with it just don't want anything over the top. I am not around so I do not know how 20ft king post look like physically. But have notice that in houses where the king post is very high the roof end up undermining the beauty of the building itself. I like it high but not unnecessarily high. What king post height would you recommend for a twin 3bedroom bungalow with concrete facial Thanks !

Please engineers in the house, I am about to do the roofing for my twin three bedroom bungalow and I would like to get some advise.
I intend using stone coated roofing sheet but my concern is that my carpenter advise that the "key post or whatever" which is the highest point of the roofing should be 20ft which i think would be too high. i do not want the roof low either but I would average height or a little bit on the high range but not excessively high. I am thinking making the "key post" 15ft. Please I would need an advise. Will 15ft be too low or will it be perfect or should I ask him to make it 17ft ? Just need a height that would bring out the beauty of the roof but noot unnecessary high.

Please your advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks to you all.

Anioma people are 100% percent igbos. The asaba king said so himself. There's an 'Anioma are igbos' Facebook page created by and contributed by your people. U guys used to be called bendel igbo and later delta igbo. What is 'enuani' is it not an igbo igbo word? Asaba and onitsha people are one and d same, only separated by a river.
My brother stop wasting your time with people who argue blindly... Enuani is s is a word in Igbo language and never a language.

How come we all share same similarities with out brodas from d south east and all connected by same land mass ? You talk about history as if there has ever been a proper and credible history about Nigeria.

Can we let this Anioma not Igbo issue rest pls ? I am Anioma from issele uku to be precise and I see myself as Igbo... Don't know why we continue arguing over this... Even the so called south east igbos they all still have variance in dialects.. If u say am not Igbo who am I then ? Yoruba or Hausa Abi ? I truly believe those who argue this are neither from Anioma. Even Yorubas have variance also as the variance in ilorin is different from what is spoken Lagos but you will never see any of these people deny being Yorubas... Pls let's allow this issue rest. Anioma is Igbo !

Politics / Re: Why I regret campaigning for Change- Opinion by bright87: 5:02am On Jul 07, 2015
cramjones:
It is about time every right thinking Nigeria begin to think of an alternative country to live in. Apart from the civil war, the last 6 years have been an unending war in Nigeria. How can any sane person think of building a future in a country where your life can be cut short at any moment? How can you call a country home where you cannot even succeed financially and walk the streets freely, or even have your family walk freely. A good example is my dear friend Chimamanda the whole world celebrates, yet her country rewarded her by kidnapping her father. Or is it Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who was rewarded by kidnapping her 82 year old fragile mom. Or is it the professor that was rewarded by being brutally murdered in the comfort of his home?

Why should any sane person keep thinking of living in Nigeria, when they campainged for CHANGE, when all the get is mass killings every other day? We do not blame PMB for the menace taking place in Nigeria, why should we even blame him? the travails of this country has really eaten deep. Why should anyone be proud of Nigeria, when Femi Fani-Kayode or is it Olukayode announed to the whole world that he will now be going abroad for his long over due medical checkup. Do we even have hospitals that can take care of anything anymore? Why should anyone keep dreaming of an illusionary Nigerian dream, when if the President gets a heart attack he will die within hours, for their is no hospital in the whole country with a standard ICU and with capabilities for cardiac stenting or catheterization.

A country where dead people lie on the street of Lagos, with no scintilla of help or emergency services by state! A country where people empty their account just go give birth "abroad" and make their children escape the horrors and de nove disadvantage of being a full Nigerian citizen. A country where mass killings have been made the norm with no state official commenting on over 500 innocent souls that have been killed in the past one month.
A country despite the massive potentials and wealth still wallows in disease, corruption, kidnapping, poverty and everything bad.

Truth be told, Nigeria has become a sinking ship, and needs to drown or fall off the cliff and then rebuilt again. For our youths to reach their full potential it is imperative for them to have their own revolution! Or at least start thinking of the nearest next African country to call home. Nigeria is a cooking hallogen gas in a hot air ballon that is about to pop and kill. It is coming, it must come, it is here!

Fellow Compatriot, The only way out is the outright dissolution of Nigeria. Sincerely speaking, this is the bitter truth. We are not one as a people and can never be one, the earlier we all realize this fact the better for us all in this Country.. Sometimes people get along better being apart than being together.. You really need to live overseas to truly know that Nigeria is a failed and a demonic place to live in. Nigeria is a failed project, Biafra or no Biafra, we all need to go our own ways.. It's already more than a 100yrs of us being together as a Country and we still can't get things right. So better we all try being apart. My take !!!

Politics / Re: The Politics Of Ika And Ndigbo : Unearthing Facts by bright87: 8:44pm On Jun 03, 2015
Let's think people...
So migration made the Ika ppl to all of a sudden starts speaking Igbo and forgot about their bini tradition, heritage, culture language?

For example; my cousins were all born in Lagos and didn't migrate to Lagos, so funny they all speak Igbo very well and Yoruba but more inclined towards the Igbo cultures, language and traditions.. But here the Ika ppl claim to forget about their bini tradition and heritage and choose the Igbo heritage due to migration !!!

Ika ppl should stop deceiving themselves coz I was born and brought up in the heart of Benin but the Binis see the Ika and Igbo speaking part of edo state as outcast.. So Ika ppl stop fooling ur selves.

Am Anioma and I see myself as proudly Igbo. Your language and culture as a people tells where you are from.. No set of ppl can all of a sudden forget their heritage due to migration. Have been living abroad for about 10yrs now but I still cook ogbono soup and all Nigerian food. I speak English and my local language... So u see ? Migration doesn't make u forget ur identity nor heritage. The Biafra war was a sad tale for we igbos but that doesn't mean we shud deny our identity. Guess if Biafra had won the war these same Ika ppl wud claim Igbo.

Ika, Agbor, Igbanke, umunede.. All these are name of places and their language is Igbo just difference intinuation/dialect from our brodas in the east and as such it's wrong to say u speak Ika or Agbor.. It's just like a Yoruba man saying he speaks Ore or ijebu.

Let's stop deceiving ourselves as the language and culture of a people defines their origin.

I sign off now !!!
Bless...
