It is said by MYTV that one can read newspaper via their receiver especially if you have gotten the latest software upgrade on your receiver or you have the latest strong receiver like srt4922 etc... I was testing the possibility, mine was downloading until PHCN took light....

Below is snapshot of it, when there is light I will conclude this possibility

Yeah. 0TA mytv upgrade is applicable to all strong decoders. Just position your dish @MYtv position then follow up what 0LENYI said in his previous post. Maybe other FTA non-strong decoders maybe using a patch. I stand to be corrected if am wrong. Wait a minute is your srt4330 an mpeg4 decoder?

As for if am using mytv card... Since I started doing FTA I have never used/subscribe with MYTV.

Secondly, whether it will disable patch after upgrade. Well that I don't know because I have never used/ or using a patch. So I guess for does who uses patch for biss key stuff this question is open for you.....

Ok let me ellaborate... This is how it happened, I came in to my house....went straight and on my appliances(my receiver & tv) voila it started showing DOWNLOADING.......% beneath downloading it displayed UPGRADING........%

A tremendious increase in signal quality of this daarsat packages when I was getting it below 40% with my 60cm dish while other frequency were @ a resonable signal...I don't know if anyone is/has experience similar signal increase expecially if one is using a smaller dish like me for this 16/17'E(amos/w3c)...or is it @ as a result of 0TA mytv upgrade boosting the signal? Anyways below are pictures to verify my claims...

Definitely think so...coz I have a dish @mytv position, a dish with 2 in 1 @multitv & dstv and one @16 and 17 degrees east combine with a diseqc switch...so its very neccesary you @ that position before you can get the Mytv default OTA upgrade.... If am wrong feel free to correct me....

I did not use any patch. I just came back yesterday night as @ the time of that post, decided to switch on my receiver...immediately the MYTV logo showed, the next thing was that OTA downloading & upgrade via the snapshot I showed & uploaded here
