The whole thing is terrible. My generator has being bad for months now and I didn't bother to repair it. But with all these "energy scarcity" now I need to do something VERY fast. |
I reside in Lugbe, ABUJA. Light in my area has gone worse. I don't know what to attribute these current state to or even rationalise it. A few weeks ago, we were told power generation was up over 5000MW, yet we have stop seeing light. If you see light for up to 4 hours during the day thank your God. Has the FG and distribution companies gone into an alliance to force us to accept their increment? Or is it just a thing with AEDC? Pls, how is it in your area? |
100kg + 4kg +1kg =105kg |
Penisinpenisout:That is eh. You see the worthlessness of you life and wish for death, so cruel. Your Moniker sha!!! |
Op, pls modify ur topic to "rumoured or suspected death" the current one is kind of misleading. |
This is nice. I was at the made in Aba trade fair today in Abuja but was disappointed. Not much effort was put into the organising the trade fair, the choice of location was poor, only few item (foot wears, cloths and a few bags) were on display. The leather used were of excellent quality though. Manufacturers from Aba should organise themselves into unions and engage professional consultant and marketers for their products. Packaging and projecting the right image is key |
GloryIsaac:well we try to keep renewing our mind and continue honouring God, there are distractions but God remain our help and focus |
Speaking on Christianity. a Christian is someone having the software of God Almighty running inside of him/her. Professing Christianity is quite different from practising Christianity. Sadly most of us profess Christianity rather than practise it, which has resulted in the abnormalities you see here and there. Most of the issues you raised where based on morality that is why you could reference it across all religion. when it come to morality however, religion stand almost united against all forms of evil/devilish vices. Challenge comes in when you now have to deal with why men act the way they do, how they relate with each other and how the relate with their God. A practising Christian owes his or her moral obligation to God Almighty, the Bible teaches him/her that everything thing he/she does is 'as unto the Lord' therefore his/her guiding principle is what is written in the Bible and revealed by the Holy Spirit. If we practice Christianity, you do not need to repay evil for evil, hurt our neighbour or engage in acts of disobedience toward God because you are accountable unto Him. The Bible make us to understand that we are ambassadors of the kingdom and pilgrims here on earth, therefore our ways of life should reflect that of our heavenly father that cause rain to fall on mankind and show love to all not wishing that anyone should perish. That is having the DNA of God (Software) running inside you |
Op wake up and stop spreading poo |
teelord1:Impressive skill set and qualifications. I would advice you to start somewhere small no minding the pay, so that you can gain relevant experience. I have discovered that good pay and relevant experience rarely go together. But with your skill set and some more experience, you will go places. I will link you up with a course mate that works with the Lagos state ministry of works. God bless you and good luck. |
techmatas:Nice write up. Hope you are not a mechanical engineer? I need to take on one, LOL |
I know but how many of these tools are made by Nigerian mechanical engineers? Some of things are so basic that we need not import them again. |
@nigg, yes I think so bros. |
vault:Bros, I don't even expect these guys to produce machine yet. Use your knowledge of design and CAE/CAD to fabricate things, the other part that you can't fabricate, you buy from the open market and assembly. Cast you mind back to the first set of machines and equipment you ever saw from China looked like. it could be described as 'cut and join' lacking finesse. but they have moved ahead ever since then. |
olabs201:I did lots of mechanical courses, loved them and passed all of them. I also know they design, construct and maintain machines. If you read my post very well, you would understand my drift. The number of these guys working in fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) companies are just a tiny fraction of mechanical engineering graduates. I won't want to start the argument the number of these fmcg staffs that are actually mechanical engr graduate yet. There is a whole lot more that can be done |
She should and deserves to be happy na. have you ever heard any scandal or rumour about either her or papillo? Its not a money tin, both of them have decided to make the marriage work irrespective of status |
vault:Beautiful but are Nigerian mechanical engineers doing any of that? |
What does mechanical engineer do? This question has puzzled my mind for a very long time now. As a graduate of engineering (Civil) I have some basic idea of the various fields of mechanical engineering. What is mind boggling is that there seems to be a disconnect between these prized fields and what my mechanical engineering colleagues are doing professionally. In a field that offers so many opportunities, these guys are cluelessly jobless and lost. Am not talking about complex areas like robotics, nanotechnology, aeronautic, or even thermodynamic, am thinking design and fabrication and automobile engineering. A mechanical engineer in my opinion should be the learned senior colleague of a welder, carpenter and auto-mechanic. Yet these guys stay detached from anything that pertains to their field of study. I am appreciative of the basic level of professional practice by the lawyer drafting legal documents and carrying out CAC reg, the architect and civil engineer designing and carrying out site management/supervision and graduates in the various fields of agriculture going back to the farm. But, WHAT DOES THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER DO? IF THESE GUYS CAN PUT JUST FIFTY PERCENT (50%) OF THEIR POTENTIALS TO WORK, NIGERIA WILL BE ON THE PATH TO INDUSTRIALIZATION!!! |
Nice one! Something like that happened in our university days. Come see break up and confession. At least you were sincere about your short comings. Since both of you were there and made the resolutions together, I pray for grace to keep it. |
Chai!!! With the scale of corruption that has gone down in the past, I hope the masses will not revolt against these enemies of the state when more revelations are made public on the impending probe of other sectors. These is mind blowing. |
Have a heart of gratitude is a virtue. Nothing more to add. |
Am not Igbo but only God know how much I envy the spirit the average Igbo man/woman has. You guys have been very tenacious and consistent. These has brought you guys huge success beyond ur imagination. Taking you focus off ur area of strength and looking at the mirage of marginalisation will be counter productive. A thoughtful piece OP! |
Na him draw the picture? Nice and thoughtful sha |
I NO KNOW BUT I THINK I LIKE THIS GAL STYLE. |
Spain007:Thanks for your resourceful post. Let me see the picture of the Nissan, the 814 is well above my budget but I would have prepared it. More options will be appreciated. My budget is quite small that is why am having to look for a fairly used one rather than the tokunbo. |
csbenedict:It's too big. I intend to used it to convey some material to and fro a construction site. Thanks though |
Am still in the market for the truck. |
chucky234:Any of the mini truck models, either single or double cabin will do. Am on a shoe string budget fa. I would consider other brands base on its state and reliability, Thanks. |
Hello NL, I urgently need a fairly used Mercedes Benz truck to buy in Abuja or any of the neighbouring state. If you have one kindly drop you contact here please. I need one that is very sound and clean because of the intended use. Cheers Me |
