Impulse move ke, as for me whether it's impulse move, correction or consolidation as long as it meet my analysis, na money I dey see. Don't be scared of what you see in your analysis as long as is to your own profit as at the time you analysed it, take it and let it go.

By impulse, i mean price was triggered suddenly by fundamentals and often times, price 'd pullback 50% of the impulse move before it continues in the same direction of impulse.

So my advise was "mark critical levels, book profits, wait for pull back and re-enter"

well, I've backtested and backtested.. Gold will always shock you. Scalping inbetween levels using LTF seems to be my only break on the account blowing pair

...I don't think doing the opposite of what "other" traders are doing is necessarily the point sha. "Other" is subjective, what it is to you may be different from what it means to the next trader. However, it may coincidentally be right at some times.

...the point remains the in-depth analysis of price action to identify trend, probable pullbacks and important zones where MM create transiently for cheaper entries...with good risk management too.

yeah thanks.. I'm looking at GA currently but no clear ideas yet.. GA, GU often times align differently.

There are 2 scenarios here.

GBPUSD, H4

first, we establish that on H4, we're in a downtrend.
secondly, there is a channel boundary with which price has rallied for a long time.

SCENARIO 1
our first bias with a probability of 70% is for price to break line A to 1.35XX level (23.6fib) and heads on to line B (38.2fib) before coming back to line A there forming a H&S pattern. Then the bulls set in.

SCENARIO 2
we have a downward trend and if price makes a retest of line A, we may be looking at going short until the broken trendline marked beneath.

Gold traders... watch carefully. price may extend to the broken line before the Bears set in.

Important news for bitcoin traders. price may likely hit 86k+ before the ending of the year

it is important to note that indices are always on the rise and cannot be viewed or traded same way as forex pairs.
some techniques are applicable to both but one must be very careful here as price isn't driven by similar factors.

the chart displayed shows candlestick (1 = hanging man , 1x2 = bearish engulfing ) patterns suggesting a SHORT.

if we check backwards, there are similar or more concrete candlestick pattern signifying SHORT that didn't hold eventually.

The D1 TF shows a shooting star suggesting a Short position however, it was still outside the broken trend.

my bias remains LONG until i see enough reasons to think otherwise

in this chart are 3 probable points to go long

10% Y
30% Z

However if price breaks Z, makes a retest, we may be looking at going SHORT.

H4 - Lines ABCD shows breakout and retest. that they aren't parallel could suggest change of trend
We also have the H&S pattern marked clearly with the rectangular box

H1 - suggests a SHORT position. this is why it is important to wait for the resistance to be broken before the BULLS set in

M30 - M30 giving a 200pips BULL opportunity
