All the reviews I see say the same thing...they went in expecting a simple fun movie and it started so...
Until the woke stuff hit


Them pack fat Barbie, trans Barbie all inside the movie...
But they hid it all from the trailers...

Everyone says it's started well then dissolved into wokeness... something well hidden from the trailer

Apparently it starts out in Barbieland where women rule and men are subservient.
Then Ken travels to the real world and the real world is portrayed with major patriarchy issues. Men walking on the street slapping women's bûtts and all.

Ken brings this patriarchy to Barbieland and revolt and take over Barbieland with other men. The women have to fight back and regain control.

Now here is where it gets worse...

Barbie apparently refuses equal rights with men in Barbieland...
She says that the men in Barbieland will only be given equal rights when the women in the real world have equal rights

How did they hide these all from the trailers?
They said the word "Patriarchy" is mentioned so many times in the movie...wtf

The high standard set by the First Project gave this movie a hill to climb.
Some of the characters were not well developed and unnecessary, the writing was a bit disjointed, its hard to understand how the same team of writers of the first one could bring so much baggage into this one. I finished the movie with even more questions.
But all in all the Premise was enjoyable, the action is what held it up.

And alphabetical metrics are not constant lol

Some metrics see "S" as the highest grade...some see "A"
Some see "A+"

Same as lowest...some metrics don't use up to "F"...some use "C" as lowest...some use "

Nigerian University no be movie...some unis don't even use A+...it's A...even B+ and B- don't exist in some

It's too vague, you can't really tell from it...
Same as most people... because the alphabets can represent different scores...

I think Cinemascore do it so people focus more on their reviews than the score itself...

so yes...using alphabets to score movies is a sîlly rating system except your intention is to get people to focus on the review and not the score


If you simply dropped an alphabet without a review to accompany it, it would be clownery...but with a review, it makes more sense
