genius43:I think the bolded can only fly with flagship devices of which is already taking effect. Mid range to low end devices imo will still ship with charging brick at least for now. And I don't even see what will make Apple change from the "lightening" usb to type c in the nearest future. A company that has proven "stubborn" to some changes in the past and held it's ground. |
tasonivan:I have a theory that the phone can't grant some permission to the same app since both apps are identifical because it happens to my banking apps as well, everything works fine when using the dual app version of the banking app except when I try to save a transaction receipt, it brings this particular error that infers that it can't grant permission to media cuz some other app with same name already has such permission. Leave the Native MiUI native daul app and download any "daul app" app from the playstore if you would notice any different. |
Do Xaiomi Nigeria retail other Mi products like power bank, sound bar or ear pods? |

|
GrAnDwEeZ:If it gets to a week without coming on, take it to a service center. |
genius43:I don't think so, the only Anriod 11 update so far for R9T in all region is version 12.0.1.0. 12.5 is still yet to land on the device. |
Revelation4:I sincerely can't grasp what you are on about..The bottom line is that, some are defective while some are not...take it which ever way that rocks your boat, positive or negative. |
Yewandequeen:The engineer might be right, alas there's hope, just exercise some patient. |
Sunkyphil:Think for a second bro...can Xiaomi make an entire line up of R9T that are faulty?..So some of the unit might actually escape the anomaly, so the one you and your friends have are probably among the "lucky ones" but make no mistake, the issues people complain about the device are real. |
Yewandequeen:Benin City. |
Yewandequeen:Dropped it on the 26th of August so this coming Thursday was supposed to make it two weeks, and i restarted it and it came up. |
Yewandequeen:The service centre called me today to come pick up the device that they have fixed it, and for now it seems to be working. |
Revelation4:That's why i used the keyword " it hasn't happened to you ". It can't possibly affect all R9T but you still have to take precaution and ignore my advice at your own peril. |
genius43:Ok will try that. |
Revelation4:Because it hasn't happened to you so you have little or no experience about it. It's is 80% a hardware problem, the update just triggers it. People on 12.0.10, 12.0.11 and even 12.0.15 have experienced it. Disconnecting the battery only works for about 3 "deadboot" cycles, after that, disconnecting the battery stops working. The next solution is to blow hot air into the board, even that is a temporary fix too. So the best solution really is to cash in on the Warranty at the Service Center and hope that miraculously Xiaomi supplies them with the parts for a board replacement. That is the only permanent fix for now, waiting for any update to correct this anomaly is a complete waste of time. PS: i am speaking from a very vast experience on this particular problem, so if you own a R9T or his twin brother Poco M3, i strongly advice against updating except it is absolutely necessary and hope the board of the phone doesn't give in. |
genius43:Exactly... what's the way forward chief or I should just head over to the tweaking thread? |
Is it possible for an "Unlocked Bootloader" to be locked again? |
osic:This seems to be happening to an awful lot of Poco M3 and Redmi 9t cuz both devices are of the same build. The problem is a combination of a software bug coupled with a hardware failure of the power controller in the board. The fixes for now are temporary. The first is to allow the battery drain for about 3 days, plug in the charger, if it displays the empty battery sign, let it charge to like 6% then try to boot it, it should boot. The 2nd fix is an extreme and if you are not hardware tech savvy, should be carried out by a technician. The fix is to disassemble the phone and blow hot air into the board using a soldering iron or a hot air blower. This fix might likely void your warranty if done without extreme caution. If these fixes doesn't work, the board is toast, and you should take it to a SC for a board replacement. |
Yewandequeen:Going through the thread and i saw you had similar problems with your 9t.. pls update if they were able to fix urs. |
Jemerson:I wasn't in a particularly chatty mood seen that the phone i bought less than four months ago packed up. Well fingers crossed moreover i have already "counted my losses" and with great pain i have started saving for a new device. |
genius43:ok...fingers crossed then...thanks. |
genius43:I don't really know Chief as this is my first xiaomi device so i have never had the cause to need "Raya Care" before now. I took my faulty Redmi 9t to the place i bought it from and they referred me to "Raya Care", when i got there the guy gave me a form to fill and told me to wait for 14 days and they will call me to pick the device. |
How reliable is "Raya Care" guys? Dropped off my faulty phone with them today and they promised i would get it back within 14 working days. |
Ogbotobo77:Was he trying to do an upgrade? He should leave it like that for like 2 days, and power it on after then, it will come up, happened to me over weekend and it seems to be happening to quite a number of Redmi 9t's recently |
genius43:Thanks Bro for your input yesterday. The situation resolved itself today, i just tried to reboot it today after several attempts, and the "Redmi logo" with the "Powered by android" at the bottom popped up, then it started unpacking and installing the update and after then it rebooted normally and the device seems to be working fine now. |
drizzle0007:free storage was 78.9gb and battery was at 94% so I don't think it was either of those. I think it's most likely a bug in the update as other users of the device on GA have had similar experiences updating to even previous stable builds like 12.0.9 and 12.0.10. most of them said, they just waited for like 2 days and they powered it on and it came on, that seems to be my only option now. |
blaquemyc:i didn't, the update download completely, and i hit "Reboot now", then it went blank and hasn't come on since. |
genius43:did that, it still refused to come on, but the power led lits up to indicate a device was plugged to it. |
genius43:it's just black screen bro. When i plug it to Pc, the Pc makes sound like something it's plug to it. But the screen is just black. |
genius43:it's been been more than an hour now and i tried holding down the power button for 15 secs like you suggested but it's not still coming on. Thanks for your help so far Bro. |
Pls house, i downloaded the latest update for my Redmi 9t (V12.0.11.0) today, and hit reboot, now it won't reboot or come on. What should I do? |
