The quest to make smartphones with more screen-to-body ratio is a common trend among smartphone companies.
This pursuit has led one of the biggest tech giants, Samsung electronics, to come up with a true bezel-less phone design. Samsung isn’t the only tech company that is working on such design, as Apple Inc. also have theirs.
The design is unlike anything ever seen on the Galaxy S and Note series.

Based on the illustration above, the phone design features a ‘3D’ wraparound display that covers all four edges. For this to be possible, the patent says the device would feature “improved impact resistance at a bent area”.
There is no place cut out for selfie camera on the display. If the phone is to have a selfie camera, then, it will likely possess the under display camera feature.
In some of the images included in the patent, The phone has virtual buttons that are placed alongside the screen edges instead of physical ones.
In fact, this design is very impressive and we can’t just wait to get our hands on it. However, it’s probably safe to say that manufacturing smartphones with this kind of design won’t be in next year, at least.
It is important to note that before phones with a ‘3D’ wraparound display can be made, significant technological developments that relates to it must exist. Screen makers must find a way of crafting displays that come with built-in selfie cameras, stronger glasses must be forged. Another crucial thing to consider is wireless charging. The use of charging ports would have to be discontinued, and more innovations in wireless charging embraced.
Samsung and other phone vendors like Apple might just be waiting for other breakthroughs in technology to be able to bring such designs to reality.

Glo announced the free YouTube streaming offer back in 2017. Which allowed Glo users with data plans of N500 and above to stream YouTube videos for free between the hours of 1.00am to 5.30am. The YouTube free data was capped at 2.5GB every night.

Many Glo subscribers including myself, enjoyed using this service even if it required us not to sleep better sleep . But after some time, for some reasons, the service stopped working for. Many started complaining that that their data balances were deducted while streaming on youtube. Of course, many more were bittered because they only got to find out when they received a notification that their data plan will soon expire.

Does the free YouTube offer by Glo still work?

I would say YES, because this is 2019 and it worked for me. And I believe there are other people who have experienced same.
