Jobs/Vacancies / Re: N7.2million Contract Job For 15 Months OR Permanent Job Of N150k Per Month by brownhawk: 7:47am On Jun 21, 2018
mrphysics:
For now, you'd think the 150k/month is a big money, not until you go for it and realize it will be hard to save 100k/month earning such. When the pressures from responsibilities hits your desk, and your gf needs a percentage of that money not excluding calls from family members, only then you would realize you made a big mistake choosing 150k/month over 7.2m.

With the experience you will get upon the completion of that contract, the 150k/month company would be calling you to offer you a job for 250k/month.

There's no better time to think, Nigeria is in the hand of the politicians and that's how they blow.

Remember to pay for stamp duty on your contract agreement via stampduty.gov.ng
all those responsibilitiesu listed up there are the liabilities that comes from having a loud big mouth including the gf part. Forget if the guy can keep his mouth shut regarding his pocket and plan more for his future he will encounter less barriers.

It amuses me how people attract unnecessary problems in their lifes

Closing down the supermarket doesn't change anything she can still open another one if she wants to so it's a win win for her cheesy

how do you expect an actress to come worship you down your feet simply because you opened a small shop for her like WTF is wrong with you don't you know you guys aren't on the same level....she's doing you a favour by dating you do you know what it takes to date an actress ?

she should count herself lucky she didn't end up with this beast disguise as boyfriend...... he would have killed her if given an opportunity smiley

Romance / Re: She Is Not Materialistic, She Is Just Above Your League by brownhawk: 11:30am On Jun 20, 2018
zicoraads:
I've seen countless narratives on Nairaland about ladies and their love for money. The most annoying one was the one I saw today of a guy complaining that his girlfriend would always want them to eat out where he'll end up paying 2k or 3k. But let's be honest with ourselves, that narrative is very wrong.

Now I'll show you why it is.

There are different types of ladies in a university. As someone who comes from a modest home, go for the ones who are serious with their studies and are more into guys who know why they are in school. These ones are more of the future than the present. They don't even mind drinking garri with you. Others, however, are the ones whose houses off campus are tastefully furnished and who live in apartments worth 150k. They also dress to kill. You think all of these fell from the sky? She has a lifestyle that needs to be maintained. As her man, realize that you also have to contribute to that. Don't ask her out and if she starts demanding, you run to Nairaland, shouting about how ladies are materialistic.

There are also these types of ladies in the larger society. A working class lady will most likely not follow you to the woman who sells beans and bread around your area. She will most likely prefer to lodge or eat Golden Tulips, Jevinik, BluCabana etc. Not her fault, she is classy and has taste. She has probably passed that stage where she followed her university love to the beans and bread seller. She is not about that life anymore. She still loves you a lot though, her taste notwithstanding.

Point being, at every point in your life, know how to cut your coat according to your size. And if you want to punch above your weight, don't go shouting about ladies' love for money. They are most likely just above your league.

my guys have brushed op dirty mouth. I'll do nothing else
Crime / Re: Air Force Begins Bombing Of Bandits In Zamfara by brownhawk: 7:15am On Jun 19, 2018
AceRoyal:
I'm not trying to be ethnic/tribalistic here but let's call a spade a spade.
The government tags unharmed Ipob members (even though I don't support their agitation), who have never killed anyone "TERRORISTS" but brand those elements in the north from a certain tribe that have been on a killing and destructive spree "BANDITS".

The government has even branded the war against Boko Haram as "low intensity war, that have claimed thousands of lives".

They have become a menace that the airforce is been deployed to use air power, yet the government does not want to call them what they really are.

Human live doesn't seem to matter anymore in this country and there seem to be no end in sight.

Until there is ethnic equality in all ramifications, there will be no meaningful sustainable development in this country.

Our leaders are not serious about developing our nation, they don't even think about how posterity will judge them.

This news is annoying and absurd.

For the politically myopic people blinded by religious and ethnic sentiments that have been quoting me or wish to quote me, I have these questions to ask;
A. IF THE ELEMENTS THAT THE AIRFORCE GOT TO BOMB WERE JUST BANDITS, ISN'T IT THE JOB OF THE POLICE TO GO AFTER BANDITS AND OTHER CRIMINAL ELEMENTS THAT DON'T POSE A THREAT TO OUR NATIONAL INTEGRITY?

B. IF YOU ADMIT THAT THEY INDEED POSE A THREAT TO OUR NATIONAL INTEGRITY THROUGH SPORADIC KILLINGS, ISN'T IT MOST APPROPRIATE TO LABEL THEM WHAT THEY TRULY ARE.... TERRORISTS?

If you label me a wailer because I speak the truth and don't share the same political sentiments with you, then you should know that I'm not only wailing but weeping bitterly for my beloved country!

I love my country but I'm ashamed of our leaders!
now that u have typed ur energy ND mental strength, go and rest cos simply each bad elements got their tag par operations description and mode of organization. But you flatronns will always think the Nigerian government is just a loose mouth unorganized elements like u guys who talk and act without proper observations and facts.

It happens all the time. It is not something new. We have those kind of fathers everywhere. They ain't rare at all. Any father that does that is irresponsible even more than the daughter.

Speaking from experience.
apart from that the benefits that retired army officers of high rank gets is way more juicy than their serving salaries.
