He gave them few cup of rice and one bird-alike chicken. They should stop complaining. Mschew
You are very correct. He is their choice. They must live with their decisions.

In fact, I no longer wish for Fayose to be impeached before the next government takes over.

Last time, it was a PDP led house of assembly that impeached him. His own people were fed up of him. It can happen again.

You have said it all. I won't be surprised if those products are sold anyhow in Naija here. They think other countries will."manage" it like us.

Lol. Imagine her wearing her normal clothes with that bag.... its like having a bugatti and living in a cheap rented apartment with no landed property. Weird.

The guy made a mistake. We know that his status can never be hidden but he could at least have portrayed himself as a shrewd man.

His reason is very logical. What you can't buy for yourself be careful before you buy it on another man's tab.

Money is obviously not his problem. If not, he wouldn't have had the guts to take her there.

I wonder why this didn't come up long before now. However discussions like this are meant to be initiated by our lazy and corrupt legislative. It can be seen as treasonous otherwise.

It is curious that Jonathan prohibited such topics during his powerless National conference. I want to see how this will fly now.

This can actually be Tagged "Proper Punishment" considering the fact that it is impossible for one to totally copy your work in an exam hall without your consent. Thus the lady in question is guilty as charged and should be ready to face the consequence of her action.
Correct.

huh

Who is contesting the natural brilliance of northerners here. This is what what this is about, K. Plzzz, READ the thread again. This time more sliwly
Please type carefully and read before you click "Submit".

The academic abilities of Northerners is the actual bone of contention. That was what the Honorable hinged his argument on. That was what you were talking about in the previous post when you wrote "backwardness".

It is curious that the Prof used that line (about it being a first class graduates programme) in his defence.

The prof has so far failed to produce evidence of transparency (proper advertisement, details of the panel of judges/examiners, criteria for selection, etc). The House only needs him to explain how no Northern first class graduate made the top 100.

Congratulations. There are many brilliant minds in this country. Hope the selection process was transparent enough. Knowing this country and her citizens, I am asking for too much.

There were Northerners on the list, I think about 20 from the north Central, the only region in the North with some love for education. There NW and NE didn't have up to 5 cos of their general 'backwardness' when it comes to education.

Nobody's fault that cannot compete in a fair contest
You have not met northern scholars before that is why you think it is a fair contest.

Nigerians. SMH. Is this how to answer?

I am glad Abba is out but it was done the wrong way. The same GEJ vetoed the ammendment of the constitution because it didn't follow due process. Why did he skip the rules in this case?

If an individual is accused of theft is he supposed to say "How many others have you accused or caught?" That is not addressing the issue.

Sibrah:
Stop reasoning like this. It is a merit based scholarship scheme, and not some useless Federal Character based sharing scheme. What we should be debating here is the openness of the selection process and not exclusion of some people.
The prof said only first class graduates were involved. Take note that he said it in defence to the accusation of bias. What does that mean?

Let him produce the list of applicants, evidence of advertisement and the criteria for making the top list.

It is farfetched to imply that no northerner would make that list.

Politics › Re: House Orders PRESSID Stopped Due To Abscence Of Northerners On List by Brugo(m): 7:58am On Apr 24, 2015
It is impossible for them to justify the exclusion of northerners from that list. Are they trying to say that there is no first class graduate from the north? That is impossible.

To some it's just a simple cosmetic practice like applying make up or wearing hair extensions. To others it is a way to boost self worth thinking all fair girls are attractive and all black girls are just plain.

To me, it is just unnecessary. The very guy who applauds and adores you for your artificial skin color will be disgusted when things get out of hand.

Reinvented:
The problem with Nigeria is that we like to stand truth on its head just to achieve or score political point. Truth is that the Federal Ministry of Education directed that all Schools in that region relocate to safer area. The governor for reasons "best known to him and the principal", decided otherwise. Information surrounding the kidnapping of those girls is still shrouded in secrecy and incomplete facts.

My candid question is who is in the best position to have acted swiftly? Was it the man in Abuja or the man on whose doorstep the girls were kidnapped? Did the governor escalate the issue to the president as soon as he got the information or how long did it take him to do that? For all we all knew, the girls were long gone over 24 hours before Federal Government started asking questions. Was the governor expecting Boko Haram to be waiting for him to reach Abuja to mobilise for their rescue.

Anyway, we know that APC will "rescue" the girls as soon as they come on board, but the challenge they will face is in convincing Nigerians that they did not have a hand in the whole affair. No how, the truth will come out and it would be so "foul" that it may become and ill-wind that would blow some people into disastrous end. For me, I know one thing, and that is that those girls if they are alive must have heard something or know something and it is a matter of time the truth will come out. We are waiting and watching.
Since when do governors command the police or army?

My question is why did the army pass the buck to the president? Did they need his orders before going after the girls?

Also, why did GEJ refuse to attend to the matter until 2 weeks had passed?

These marketers should be rounded up. They keep cheating the populace. The price of crude oil dipped by more than 50%.

How come even with subsidy the price of petrol dropped by only 10.3%? Diesel and Kerosene remained as before.

Oil marketers are making obscene profits.

If only he had not dismissed the news these girls would have been rescued.

Interestingly, did the army have to wait for a direct order from the President before rescuing the girls? Do they need presidential orders before engaging terrorists and kidnappers?

Chai. The reasons they tendered are so embarrassing. Thank God Ibori is in the UK. Unfortunately, he has no case to answer here; the Nigerian courts have made sure of that.
