WATCHMEN For those who feel it's all about racism: On paying further attention racism fight is just a mask the calvary puts on. Their real motive is yet to unfold |

DannyKoice: To be fair, it's just another gloss in a saturated genre.
We have The Chi, The Wire, Snowfall, Underground, etc. GoH is merely another show whereby the central theme revolves around African Americans and crime. It's a low hanging fruit.
I want TV series that depict African Americans in a positive light for a change. I dunno what's stopping them from a doing a series on John Henry. Na something wey go sell market then go act for film na. Evil sells more than good |

urahara: Vikings wasn't strictly history.
Ragnar lothbrok was nothing more than a mythical person Well we can't say Ragnar was pure myth. He really existed but some of his tales are more of folklores and metaphors |

KoiceReloaded: When? I lost interest in Vikings post season 4 - after Ragnar died. Odin appeared to the sons of Ragnar when Ragnar died. He visited all of them at once even though they were in different locations - confirming his omnipresent(supernatural) ability. Habard was the guy that had sex with Ragnar's second wife. He also took away the pain from young Ivar and later disappeared into the mist while he left Kategat |

KoiceReloaded: Vikings was strictly history though.
Fantasy entails the supernatural, so yeah, Britannia has supernatural content. The appearance of Odin and Habard in a few scenes, cant we classify that as supernatural? |

realestniggah: I'm I the only who find the watchmen boring? Two episodes in and I can't find anything really exciting about the show..and also this storyline and plot are badly put together..Can't a major plot connection between the watchmen movie and the series.. Except for the bloody mask and Rorschach name that mentioned every now, and wannabe super heroes, Shit is lame af. The movie is majorly about super heroes, and the series about racism. How did the storyline veered off course and became so different?
still gonna give it a chance tho, due to the quality and the HBO name backing it up. That was what I thought initially but on a getting to the current episode I found out it's not all about racism. BTW the Comedian appeared in the latest episode. It's good to have him back |

They should just rest abeg
Imagine discussing a joker movie part 2
Joker movies is a movie that was made to justify jokers actions
Watch dark Knight rises and go and watch the joker movie again and tell me why anyone will want us to understand his actions Dark Knight's joker and Joker's Joker are 2 different Jokers |

KoiceReloaded: The way I remembered it, it started out gory and dark, and never tapered off. I was an instant fan, and enjoyed every episode from the pilot to the season finale. Okay, I hated "The Fly" episode, and that's all there is to it.
You must have been one of those that started watching it based on the hype, and expected to see the "best show in the world" right off the bat. The problem is from you, and not the show. Reduce your expectations, and give it a chance, and perhaps, you see it what what it is. it took me a very long time to conclude it (which is unusual). Well, Luis Gustavo came to save the day. It still holds my spot for "best season finale" |

KoiceReloaded: Breaking Bad started with a bang. I've watched a lot of shows with slow beginnings, and BB ain't one of those. Thoroughly enjoyed the intensity of the first few episodes, so I find it rather peculiar when folks come out with "the show started slowly" narrative to encourage interested parties... like did we all watch the same episodes, or were there other versions of BB that I wasn't privy to?? The BB that I have watched multiple times didn't start slow, at all. Your bang must be different from the regular one |

realestniggah: The thing with CGI is it get outdated pretty fast.. Have you seen star wars and star trek of the early eighties and nineties? I'm sure you can't sit down through it today.
Same with Merlin..Merlin was the shit back in the days.. But now I look at it and I realize how lame it is.. even Legend of the seeker.. 10 years from now Game of thrones will be in the same whatsapp group with Merlin.. It will be old..and people won't be able to watch it.. Wonder why series like prison break and breaking bad still get praises today it because the stroline is forever strong and won't ever get outdated because of what would be term bad CGI.. Guy, game of thrones have been making waves even before the CGI. The novel (a song of ice and fire) was a hit Keanu Reeves' breakthrough was in Matrix. Matrix was praised for its CGI and cinematography |

realestniggah: No it doesn't but there was heavy reliance of CGI for game of thrones.. Unlike breaking bad that all about the story So are you discrediting them for reliance on CGI? If no, what's your point? |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by Brukx(m): 6:37am On Oct 26, 2019 |
realestniggah: Did you even watch breaking bad? It the best series ever on TV Game of thrones was overhyped because of fucking_ dragons.. The storyline of breaking bad only got stronger form the very first season till the end.. I can literally watch breaking bad from season 1 all over again.. But can't do the same with game of throne. Game of throne was popular because of the budget, CGI, marketing, advert.. There was nothing really special about the storyline.. Messed up storyline that was hard to follow after every season. How true is this? |
