Properties in southern part of Manchester M20,21, 22,23,15, 16 are more expensive due to proximity to Manchester airport, Altrincham, Hale where 95% of footballers prefer to live. M9 and 40 belong to Northern part of Manchester. Funny enough some of the top primary and secondary schools in Manchester doesn't belong to these expensive areas. Manchester is affordable to London doesn't make it worse place to live. I decided to go for M9 or M40 because of my young family and Niger community. I presently live in Luton, Expensive is not always equal to quality.

quick one from me.. just adding to your question

We need to be careful with "cheaper areas" so that we don't try and save money but won't be able to sleep with both eyes closed OR be too worried about where we raise our kids...

I know someone who did same, (wont mention the area) but just know the person can't even afford to have a parcel delivered to the house if no one is home.. all in the name of saving money .. burglary is normal in the area

The neighbourhood is rough rough and schools are blehhhhh!!!!!

Also, remember that even if your current place of work is closer to the house you want to buy, what happens if/when you change jobs and you're now so far..

I know it is hard to plan for the future but let's just make sure we tick majority of the boxes when we try to find areas to buy houses.

Boss!!!
I'm also looking to buy a house in Manchester with my young family, M20, M15 and M16 is okay for young family but affordability be my problem. I'll go for M9 or M40 jeje because it's cheaper, family friendly and Niger vibes.
Equity appreciation wise Manchester is more better than Sheffield.... my opinion though.

Morning all,

Looking at moving from further north and buying a first property in either Manchester and Sheffield.

Can anyone suggest the good affordable neighborhoods in bith cities suitable for young families with good schools, amenities etc. ? Manchester is the preferred though.

Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

I've been a silent member of this thread, observing and learning about acquiring a property in the UK. The knowledge gained here helped me in acquiring my 3-Bed (Old Build) Semi-detached property in April this year, all thanks to the likes of Ticha, Lexusgs430 etc. I 'm currently in need of a builder in Liverpool area, as I intend to convert an empty space downstairs into a toilet and would appreciate any useful information or contact.

Thanks..

Please what's the penalty for withdrawing before the 1st anniversary of the account?
Estroller:

The tax year is from April 6th - April 5th the following year, so yes you can and will get the full bonus on both deposits.

You can also withdraw for your home purchase as long as you've had the account for minimum of a year before your withdrawal date. If you withdraw before the 1st anniversary of the account, you'll have to pay a penalty for withdrawing early.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by bsafolabi: 2:34pm On Oct 03, 2020
You can go there as early as possible
You will pay flexy at the center with your atm and not cash
Pay for priority online

bobotope:
Please I need the advise on how the walk-in works as I am planning for a walk-in on Monday. My questions are:
1. When is the best time to get there
2. Is it advisable to pay online for flexi or pay at the center
3. Also the priority visa too, is it better to pay online or wait till I arrive the center as I don't want any complications

I salute all the gurus on this thread, una weldone!

I think I had a post on this in part 3, you need

FULL School fees PLUS maintenance

MAIN Applicant
The Home Office (UKVI) has set the amount of maintenance funds you need to have available. You must show that you have:
£1,015 per month for living costs if you are studying outside London ........... Times 9 months
£1,265 per month for living costs if you are studying in London ........... Times 9 months

Dependent per person
If the Tier 4 (General) student is studying on a course based:
• in London you must have at least £845 per month to support yourself; ........... Times 9 months
• outside of London, you must have at least £680 per month to support yourself ........... Times 9 month

2. One account or separate account . it doesn't matter as long as the accounts is/are in the name of the applicants

Hi Boss,
Am in that situation, my wife is going for Masters and we want to apply for Visa together. My questions,
1.how much do I need to deposit for my own maintenance fees
2. Can I put my maintenance fees together with her own tuition fee balance and maintenance fee in one account or separate account.

LagosismyHome:

For UK there is no sequence . It is absolutely fine if a couple with no child apply at the same time or at the different times. What important is that you meet the financial requirements

If you have the finances then applying together or separately makes no difference so anyone is fine. Personally if I have the money then I would apply together

Thanks so much Sister.
Arhmiee:

The interview is via Skype and takes app. 20 minutes. In the mail sent for the interview invite, there is an attached document about the interview. She should read the information in the links provided.

She should be able to answer why she chose to study nursing(she should include why Adult nursing in her reasons) and why she chose university of Hertfordshire.
Also, she will be asked scenario questions which she will apply the Information in the link I mentioned earlier in answering. The scenario questions will be based on normal life experiences but she should apply the 6 C's when answering and the nursing code too.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Boss, I really appreciate.

omopapa:
She needs to knw about the 5 C’s of nursing; commitment, conscience, competence, compassion and confidence and be able to give example how she will apply each C in her career as a nurse.

She should mention that she’s caring and give examples to back it up. She shld be able to link psychology with nursing explaining the similarities.

Scenario based questions:
They might tell her little story and ask questions about it.

Hints:
Safety first
Patients should be carried along when making decisions about their care
Confidentiality

She shld read a little bit about the nursing degree at the university of hertfordshire incase they ask her “why university of hertfordshire”

All the best to her
