ProgrammingBVN Details by bubbleforth(op): 9:23am On May 06, 2017
I want to know if anyone knows of any bank that one is able to check for his BVN details: either through their money app or on the site?

I keep having issues over BVN details, so I want to know everything that was filled for me. Obviously, the person who typed my details made mistakes.

You wrote this post in a hurry and in anger. I can literally feel the angry vibe. Honestly, I don't think he stole, you just wantvro tarnish his imagine. He probably annoyed you or you are just a hater.
I read your comment and I laughed. If he didn't steal it, please tell him to return it (you seem to know him). I am not tarnishing his image because he lost his image the moment he betrayed the trust someone had on him.

I was not in a hurry to post it, I read it again before clicking send. You were in a hurry, take note of the errors in your writing. I am a hater, yes, of the crime he committed.

Since you are a crime lover, tell us what he did if he didn't steal it.

Hey there, you should visit http://pythonnigeria.org/

to join us in taking Python to greater heights in this part of the world. Also be informed that we are planning a PyCon and we need help with sponsors.

Thanks.
Nairaland GeneralMac Stolen At A Programmer's Event (pic) Attached by bubbleforth(op): 11:44pm On Jan 26, 2017
The guy shown in the pix with handle axtine112 on Instagram (I was informed), and who goes by the name Joseph Austine online stole a relatively new Mac book at an event for programmers and those who need programming skills today, Jan. 26, 2017.

It was an issue of a betrayal of trust and a mistake on the part of the owner. The laptop belongs to a company and he's nowhere to be found. Luckily enough, the owner of the PC was able to trace his details to Instagram.

The number he dropped was a wrong one. Please if anyone knows this criminal, do get across. I don't have the details of the owner but I can reach him through the event's organiser.

This might not be his first time. He even paid for the event, I heard. I informed them to formal inform the police which they have done. He looks neatly dressed but we all know that criminals are increasing their chances everyday. Don't be deceived by facial looks, it's deception, and trust no one with your things.

No name calling here please. Act matured and help spread this information, it will save someone in need. Thanks

@Seun and other admin, please help do the needful- gracias

We are having entries already and a closing date isn't yet fixed.

@dhtml18, and other judges do we agree on a week?

@fincoApps, since you are done, hold on for other entries. Since you finished first..your's will be reviewed first.

Thanks for participating.
Please, I'd like to ask, who are the judges?

DanielTheGeek:
Let's fix a date and if no one meets up with it, then that's all, I'm out. I'm tired of updating the time frame in the OP.

I don't want a long time frame because everybody will solve the problem, we need only those that can think fast.
OK, how do we go about it? @dhtml18, you're needed here abeg.

dhtml18:
^^^that one depends on a lot of factors. But all the offers I have had to recommend people for so far have been over 100k, usually range of 100 - 150.
Most senior developers like myself will refuse outright employment leaving the space for other interested developers. I will only 'consider' employment if the pay 500k and above otherwise, I shall just remain on the 'streets' doing agbero/owoda.

And as for experience, when a company wants me to recommend someone to them, they will expect me to recommend someone with experience that I believe is adequate for the task they are giving the person, so my information should be accurate.
Same here o. Some people are on my neck to come over and I say 500K or no more. 12 years coding isn't moi moi. I need to earn more if I should need to move. And the 500K should even come with extra perks.

dhtml18:
One of the demands I get frequently is to recommend 'young', talented developers for jobs. There are firms that rely on my decision to recommend young developers for them from time to time.
But I can only recommend those that I know are capable, so that i wont stain my name. But how do I know those that are capable without seeing their work or performance? That is why I am interesting in this thread.
What is the age range that you are looking at, and would they pay them goo monies with perks or are they they type that pays someone with 3 years experience 80K like some people do?
ProgrammingRe: Programming Competition: Search Engine Task. Rewards up for grabs. by bubbleforth: 9:14am On Feb 29, 2016

Depending on the seriousness of the competitors, I might still increase my contribution. . .
Please hold on a while, let's see what others might have to contribute too. Coding is serious work, there is no small coding at all. The money should be bigger than what's on the ground but let's see how the community would respond to it.

Keep up the good work.

I would add 1000 Naira to the contest. If people could contribute, little by little, then we would have enough on board to put as a stake. We don't have the face that does beauty things, let's use our brains.

Don't give up, you'll get there. Rome wasn't built in a day. The journey has not been an easy one but the end justifies the means for us. Keep up the zeal.

There's a Django girls meetup in Lagos in Feb 2016. If you come, then we would talk more. I don't use Django but Flask at work. I play with Django from time to time, as a web framework.

ProgrammingRe: Pls Help With Automatic Voting Bot by bubbleforth: 8:37pm On Jan 13, 2016
Both www.casperjs.org and www.phantomjs.org would surely show you how.

I've done wonderful things with CasperJS and still used it today.

When I'm building web apps, I write bots to test them, thereby reducing the normal slow cycle that programmers go thru to achieve some things.

You can do it.
ProgrammingRe: What Is The Place Of Python, Ruby Programmers In Nigeria by bubbleforth:
Well, I got a job as a Python programmer last year and the pay is OK considering the fact that the economy is bad. One thing I impressed my interviewers with were my personal projects: they asked for 2 and I had like 6 to show.

In the interview, I spoke with confidence with much demonstration to thrill them. There are Python jobs but companies might not know they need it.

My advice: hone your skills. And when you're done, confidently walk up to would-be employers and show them what you can offer. The vacancies might not be advertised but it's there.

At over ---K per month (6 figure), with flexible work hours and understanding boss, what's more? You can earn even more: packaging is the deal.
ProgrammingRe: What's The Largest Indigenous ICT Firm In Lagos by bubbleforth: 4:01pm On Jan 09, 2016
The response might no be an easy one to answer because there are many things involved. Banks, NIBBS, Interswitch, private firms, all have programmers but we can't say how much they have in their accounts and staff strengths.
