Biko, I thought the exact same and was looking till I saw you said so. Thanks. My own atheist leaning would make me say the writers added it to make their story more believable because they knew the question would be asked and needed an answer. Even Jesus was written to have known this question would be asked, having "shewed unto them his hands and his side", which made the "disciples glad when they saw the Lord" way back in verse 20, which makes the repetition rhetoric if one accepts the writers, or rather, later editors of the text, used thier eyes and other senses when compiling the text.

I must say that I agree that those "that have not seen, and yet have believed" must indeed be blessed somehow for not looking with their own eyes so they may see with their own lamps of their own bodies.

I am suspicious of his reasoning because the below can not be true.

Lokpobiri argued that Nigeria’s status as an oil-producing country and the presence of the dangote Refinery do not automatically guarantee cheaper petrol.

If Nigeria did not have Dangote Refinery today we would be buying refined fuel at international prices, which are currently significantly high and short in supply in countries like in Europe than can pay more than we can afford, and that would have stifled supply in Nigeria resulting in queues at petrol stations for overpriced fuel.

It's not automatic though, I agree, because Dangote Refinery did not just "automatically" be there to "guarantee" the supply that we currently seem to have.

Business and politics are the same thing or at least inseparable at the level of a person like Dangote. You'd have dealt with loads of top business and politics people to get to where he is, and it would be odd for him not to have learnt to do both successfully. It's like chess. You can't win if you aren't better at it than the opponent.

Besides, my Peter Obi is not a good enough politician despite my support. He has not organised we Obidients well enough is my own opinion.

Former registrar at a holding bank in Nigeria is blood, I understand a lot more than you think. But that's irrelevant.

Nigeria has been ruled by military for decades so we fought, and now we have an accountant and are learning to hold to account. Dangote has shown he might bring Nigeria into the industrial age, which I think is what we need now, and I can not currently see any other Nigerian of whom one can say 'there is light' if they said, 'let there be light'.

If Dangote Refinery shares are dodgy and lose people money, Dangote can not be president of anywhere, but if those shares appreciate and pay dividends, Dangote would have achieved the advanced evolved form of buying votes with a congo of rice and a loaf of bread and we Nigerians always vote for food.

Update! I have promoted Dangote to where I first placed him and he'd likely shoot me for it.
